Abstract

The aim of the invention is to portion a stack (4) of thin postal items sitting adjacent on a support with at least one movable holding support (5) and a belt conveyor. To this end, the support has a stationary, horizontally oriented part (1) and an adjacent pivotable part (2) which can be pivoted about a pivoting axis (3) which is located at the outer margin in the direction of stacking. During portioning, the pivotable part which extends transversely from the stationary part downwards is swiveled into a horizontal position. Below the stationary part at the border to the movable part a holding support (6) with a belt conveyor is arranged. Said belt conveyor is driven when swiveled downwards. An additional support (7) is arranged at the frame of the pivotable part of the support just above the postal items. Said additional support retains the remaining stack on the stationary support. The portioned and then compressed stack is located between the holding supports (5, 6) with belt conveyors and is reloaded by the action of the drive of said belt conveyors.

Description

The invention relates to forming, portioning and reloading a stack according to the preambles of the independent claims.

Processing and distribution processes often become larger Stack of upright flat consignments formed side by side, for further processing or for removal in Containers must be portioned into smaller stacks.

From DE-OS 24 19 630 a device is known which forms a stack of these upright flat objects for the temporary storage of flat objects, such as letters and postcards. US Pat. No. 5,104,114 also describes a stacking device for forming upright, flat mail items, in which the stack is stacked against a movable supporting wall by a stacking roller. The stacking takes place on the movable bottom of a container. It is known from GB-PS 14 66 892 portioning a stack of upright flat objects by pivoting a pivotable base part from a fixed base part.
The removal of the stacks without a special container is not described in these solutions.

The invention specified in claims 1, 7 and 8 lies therefore based on the task of a stack of on a pad upright side by side with low stack pressure between two movable support stands standing narrow consignments portioned automatically and safely and / or one reload the compressed stack safely, for transport the stack no elaborate special containers are necessary.

According to the invention, the document consists of a fixed, horizontally aligned part and one adjoining pivoting part, which when filling the Pad runs diagonally downwards and when portioning swung down into a likewise horizontal position is, and through the shipments vertically shifting support brackets safe and effortless portioning of the Stacking and loading containers with the stack portions guaranteed under a specified stack pressure.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen dargestellt.Advantageous refinements are presented in the subclaims.

It is advantageous according to claim 2, the remaining Stack supporting additional support as perpendicular to the swiveling one Carrier aligned, driven conveyor belt and this when swiveling the swiveling down To drive part of the document so that on the shipments due to the supporting belt surface, no vertically directed Force is exerted. This will result in inadmissible stresses avoided by particularly sensitive shipments.

According to claim 3, it is advantageous, the movable support bracket on the swiveling part of the pad as drivable Conveyor belt to run. It is possible to use the compressed Stack portion securely towards a container transport.

So that the batch portion is loaded into a container can, it is advantageous according to claim 4, the pivotable Part of the pad can be removed laterally from the area of the Batch portion to perform.

It is advantageous according to claim 5, under the removable part the base two parallel, swiveling outwards Arrange side members, under which in turn one Open container at the top with sloping side walls located.

According to claim 6, the container by means of lifting means in the Height to be moved. This makes it possible to keep the Allow part of the batch to be immersed in the container and then the side members to the side through the oblique outwardly extending side walls formed lateral Swivel space. This ensures that the shipments be safely transferred to the container.

If the loading of the container is finished, it is advantageous Embodiment according to claim 9 of this on a means of transport lowered for transport, the movable support bracket on the remaining batches of mail on the fixed part of the pad. Then the moving part of the pad swung up again and the underlay is load further.

In Figure 1a, a base can be seen, which consists of a horizontally aligned, fixed part 1 and out a subsequent, obliquely downward and around one in the stacking direction at the end of the base Pivot axis 3 pivotable part 2 is made. On the pad there is a stack 4 with low stack pressure side by side standing flat broadcasts that end at one as Conveyor belts trained movable support 5 held becomes.

This support bracket 5 has a consignment pressure Sensor and is moved so that the selected shipment pressure is observed. Filling the device takes place from the left with a small stack pressure. On the left, not shown, the stack 4 with shipments fed from other containers by the shipments removed from these containers, in the direction of that already on the Documentary items moved and merged with them become. The shipments are moved horizontally and swiveling support brackets. At the Border between the fixed part 1 and the pivotable Part 2 of the document under the fixed part 1 there is another as a vertically aligned conveyor belt Support bracket 6.

The total stack 4 to be portioned is completely on the base, it is portioned by the pivotable part 2 about the pivot axis 3 by means of a not illustrated drive mechanism down into a horizontal aligned position is pivoted. During the swiveling process the conveyor belts of the support bracket 6 after driven below. This ensures that at the border between the top remaining and the bottom portioned Do not stack any items between the two stacks stay. To prevent the top stack from tipping over, is on the pivotable part 2 of the pad at the separation point between the underlay parts 1, 2 just above the highest provided programs an additional support 7 attached. At the The additional support 7 also moves downward down and thus holds the remaining stack.

The additional support 7 can also have conveyor belts. When swiveling the conveyor belts at the swiveling speed driven upwards, so be on the Shipments exerted no forces with a vertical force component. After the swiveling process is completed, the movable Support bracket 3 moves inwards so that a selected sets higher stack pressure (FIG 1c).

Under the pad 2 there are two pivoting outwards Side members 8 and below that a container 9 open at the top with sloping side walls.

The successive reloading processes are shown in more detail in the following sectional views.
First, according to FIG. 2a, the base 2 is pulled out laterally under the stack, the longitudinal beams 8 being fastened in such a way that the removal of the base 2 is not hindered and the stack of mail items is held in position by a stop 12. Thereafter, as can be seen in FIG. 2b, the container 9 is raised with appropriate lifting means 10 from a roller conveyor 11 to such an extent that the longitudinal members 8 and the mail items with their lower parts are located below the upper edge of the side walls of the containers 9. Then the outward pivoting of the side members (8), indicated by the arrows, takes place. In the next phase (FIG. 2c), the conveyor belts of the support supports 5, 6, which hold the stack of mail items under a fixed stack pressure, are driven such that the stack is moved toward the bottom of the container. After the stack of mail items is on the bottom of the container, the container 9 is lowered again onto the roller conveyor 11 with the aid of the lifting means 10 (FIG. 2d), by means of which it is then transported away (FIG. 2e). The movable support 5 is moved to the remaining batch of mail on the fixed part 1 of the base, the movable part 2 of the base is pivoted up again, and the base is further loaded.

As indicated in FIG 2a-e, each support bracket 5.6 has three Conveyor belts. The length of the conveyor belts is designed that the stack is transported safely into the container 9 becomes.

Depending on the specific version, it may be necessary the support brackets for unhindered removal of the containers 9 5.6 to move up. In a specific case it is Stack smaller than the capacity of the container 9, so that the shipments in container 9 could tip over is in the Container 9 is a clamp which can be clamped to the container side walls used. This bracket is shaped so that the Holding supports 5.6 have space for immersion in the container 9.

the container (9) is arranged beneath the pivotable part (2) of the underlying surface,
with the stack (4) formed on the underlying surface, the pivotable part (2) is pivoted into its separating position, the transporting device of the further retaining support (6) being driven such that at least the items of mail which are in contact with the transporting device are transported to the underlying surface,
the separated-off stack portion located on the pivotable part (2) is compressed to a predetermined stacking pressure by means of the displaceable retaining support (5),
the pivotable part (2) is drawn away laterally from beneath the stack portion, the stack portion being prevented from moving sideways by a stop (12),
the container (9) is moved upwards until the longitudinal carriers (8) with the stack portion are located within the container (9) to such an extent that the longitudinal carriers (8) can be pivoted away laterally from beneath the stack portion,
the longitudinal carriers (8) are pivoted away laterally from beneath the stack portion, and the transporting belts of the retaining support (5), which compresses the stack portion, and of the further retaining support (6) are then driven such that the stack portion is moved in the direction of the container base.
  9. Method according to Claim 8, characterized in that the container (9), following the loading operation, is lowered onto a transporting means (11), the longitudinal carriers (8) are pivoted back, the displaceable retaining support (5) is moved onto the end side of the stack portion remaining on the fixed part (1), and in that the pivotable part (2) is then pivoted into its stack-forming position and a stack (4) is formed anew.
