Description
The invention relates to a track covering, which is formed from between the two rails of a track inserted roofing plates and optionally also externally to these rails subsequently laid covering plates, which roofing plates consist of a composite material and are provided at least on a rail facing edge with support tabs , which engage with the insertion of elastic inserts in the lateral recess of the relevant rail, wherein the composite material is formed of a plurality of mutually blended components.
Track coverings of the aforementioned type are known in various embodiments and are usually used for the formation of railroad level intersections or similar lying at rail level traffic areas in the area of fabrication or storage facilities or the attenuation of the resulting noise when driving on track systems, which occasionally also a walkability such sound-absorbing Track coverings is considered. Such a track covering is described in DE 29 32 946 A. In the known track coverings of the aforementioned type, the production of the plates required for covering and also their installation on the track usually associated with an undesirably large effort, often resulting in difficulties that, due to the weight of the plates and by special manipulation steps, which Installation and removal of the plates must be made to use special lifting equipment and other devices, which can lead to considerable difficulties in confined spaces, such as those prevailing in tunnels. Such problems also exist in a track covering known from US-A-1275321, in which roofing plates are provided which have approximately a thickness corresponding to the rail height and are supported on the sleepers. The edge zones of these roofing plates running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the track are bent downwards and each of these edge zones projects into a space between two successive sleepers. The running in track longitudinal edges of the flashing plates extend at a distance from the rails, wherein in the spaces thus formed between the rails and the flashing plates channel-like profiles are inserted, which as To serve mud flaps.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a track covering of the type mentioned, in which the roofing plates are simple and easy to manufacture with little effort, with a low weight of the plates should be achievable and so the installation and removal of these plates simple hoists and if necessary even without lifting gear by hand can be made.
The track covering invention mentioned above is characterized in that at least the inserted between the two rails of the track covering plates have the shape of a transverse to the rail longitudinal direction U-profile, which consists of a substantially flat top wall and at its transversely to the rail longitudinal direction transverse edges arranged, projecting from the top wall downwardly projecting flange ribs, wherein the engaging in at least one of the rails support tabs are formed only by the Flanschrippenenden, which adjacent to that longitudinal edge of the top wall, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the respective rail. Through this training, the above-mentioned objective can be well met. The tracks forming the track plates can be produced by their simple form with relatively little effort, with a good carrying capacity of these plates can be achieved even at relatively low weight. It can be a good, sufficient for intense walking load capacity is obtained with a plate weight of less than 50 kg. Accordingly, such roofing plates are, if necessary, to be installed and removed by hand without the need for larger lifting devices or the like. The support lugs of the roofing plates, which engage in the side rail located adjacent the rail of the respective rail, usually an elastic profile between the support tabs and the rail in question is inserted, are relatively narrow seen in the rail longitudinal direction, and it is characterized in the installation and the Removal of the track covering forming roofing plates required manipulation easier. In addition, resulting from the intended shape of the track covering forming roofing plates relatively easily manageable static conditions, and it can thus be achieved in a simple way an optimized dimensioning. With regard to the composite material from which the roofing plates are formed, a wide range of possibilities is available. For at least one component are natural minerals in crushed or ground state as well as finely divided, porous lightweight materials, such as plastic granules, granular or fired and calcined Tonerdeteilchen, granular slag particles and similar particles of natural or artificially produced base materials, including mixtures of various Particles, as mentioned above, can be used. In particular, cement and also plastic binders are suitable as binding components, whereby it is also possible to use binder mixtures in this regard. It is cheap in most cases when the composite material from which the Covering plates are formed, includes a reinforcement, which may consist for example of steel or other metals, plastic threads, glass fiber strands, or fiber materials, wherein the fiber materials both natural and synthetic are to be considered and both admixtures of short fibers to the component mixture and embedding of longer strands formed from fiber material come into question. The reinforcement can also take the form of prefabricated planar bodies, such as the form of meshes, nets or nonwovens. If the highest possible sound attenuation is desired, it is favorable if a component of the composite material is a porous lightweight material as mentioned above or at least predominantly consists of such a material. Furthermore, it is advantageous to form the upwardly directed surface of the covering plates in a sound-absorbing manner, for example, to be provided with suitable ribs or hollow recesses.
A preferred embodiment of the track covering according to the invention is characterized in that at least one longitudinal edge of the top wall, a lip is arranged whose thickness is less than the thickness of the top wall and which extends from one flange rib to the other flange rib and below the on the inside of the adjacent rail kept lane groove rests running on an inserted into the adjacent lateral recess of the adjacent rail elastic shim. It can be achieved by this measure in a simple manner, a good completion of the space covered by the roofing plates against unwanted ingress of foreign material, which also appears important for safety reasons, since combustible foreign material, such. Dust accumulations, is at risk of ignition and is expected in the railway area with many sources of ignition, for example. carelessly discarded cigarettes, as well as sparks and arcing in electric traction can cause inflammation. The aforementioned lip gives by its compared with the top wall smaller thickness in a simple way the ability to provide between the given to be given depth of the flange groove and also to be regarded as given maximum height of rail fastening components and the like. A permanent separation and sealing.
It is both for the manipulation of the installation of the track covering plates as well as for the compensation of tolerances on the individual elements of a track to be covered is advantageous if it is provided that the lip is made of a flexible material.
For laying between the two rails of a track are usually roofing plates in question, which are provided at its two longitudinal edges with support tabs, in such a way the roofing plates are held on both sides by engagement in the lateral recesses of the rails. In certain cases, such as the presence of additional guide rails on the inside of the rail, it may be useful to provide roofing plates to be inserted between the two rails of a track at only one longitudinal edge with support tabs for engagement with a side rail recess and, accordingly, only one Longitudinal edge to support a rail and such a covering plate in the region of its other longitudinal edge on on their components of the track, such as on a base plate supporting the rails. You can also provide your own foundations for the formed without support lugs longitudinal edge of roofing plates. Roofing plates, which are provided with support tabs only at one longitudinal edge, are also particularly suitable for roofing the area adjoining the rails of a track. For flashing panels which are provided with support tabs only at one longitudinal edge and as mentioned above on other track components, e.g. To rest on base plates, or other foundations, it is in terms of usually located at a slightly higher level than such support points rails advantageous if the flange ribs of the covering plates at a distance from the provided with support lugs longitudinal edge to the other longitudinal edge have a greater height as at the longitudinal edge adjacent to the support lugs. It is further advantageous if it is provided that the flange ribs have in the greater height portion having on its underside elastic supports, and in addition to the fact that the elastic supports are height adjustable.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the
It is convenient to arrange reinforcements in the
The
In the embodiment shown on the left in FIG. 2,
The
In the embodiment of a track shown in section in Figure 6, a
