Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method of decorating a support flexible textile, as well as a textile article capable of being obtained by using this process.
- the term "yoke” means an added piece constituting the upper part of a blouse or dress and corresponding to shoulders or the non-pleated upper part of a skirt, corresponding to hips, now pleats at the bottom of the skirt.
- such inserts themselves consist of a piece of textile material, which are hemmed and sewn at the edges beforehand hemmed with a cutout of the textile support, generally made then itself under form of several pieces hemmed and assembled by sewing.
- This technique has the disadvantage of giving rise to over-thicknesses harmful in terms of aesthetics and comfort, in particular due to the need to stop each piece with a hem at its edges, and the assembly sewing is a long and tedious operation.
- the assembly of the yoke to the textile support by sewing requires on the one hand that the yoke is itself suitable for sewing and on the other hand that it is able to withstand the mechanical stresses that it can be brought to undergo level of seams, which practically requires using a textile material to the yoke.
- the method according to the invention allows the use of such materials for flexible insert, without risk deterioration over time, especially in the assembly of the yoke with the flexible textile backing, which creates effects new aesthetics, and the use of thermo-bonding to achieve this assembly not only eliminates the need for seams without compromising quality and durability of the assembly, but also to dispense with any hem on the flexible textile support since not only the heat-adhesive glue ensures the permanent joining of the yoke with the textile support, all around the contour of the cutout of it but it also helps retain the fibers or threads of the textile support all around this contour, whatever the nature of the support textile, preferably chosen from fabrics formed from woven or knitted threads, although textile supports of other nature, such as felts or other textile materials non-woven, can also be considered without leaving the framework of the present invention.
- the yoke can be opaque and present any desired coloring and / or decoration to harmonize or contrast with the surrounding textile support, but it can also be transparent, colorless or mass-colored. So, if it is attached and secured to the second face of the textile support, it creates inside said outline a translucent or transparent, colorless or colored area, directly delimited by the textile support according to said outline. If, on the other hand, the yoke is joined and secured at the first face of the textile support, said outline appears through it by transparency, and the yoke introduced around this outline, in the appearance of textile support also visible through it, a difference compared to the zones adjacent to the textile support, which creates aesthetic effects new.
- the aesthetic effects created by the panel can be further diversified if you print the yoke during step a) or prior to this.
- This impression is preferably made by the second face of the yoke, that is to say by the coating of heat-adhesive glue then that, during step a) or prior to this, the first is preferably coated face of the yoke of a temporary protective film, for example of paper, which is left during step b) to avoid direct contact with the polyurethane or similar material with the plate of the heating press generally used for implement this step b), and remove it afterwards.
- step a it is advantageously possible to arrange in said zone of the yoke, during step a), at least one hole having dimensions outside all on all sides lower than those of said zone of the textile support and disposed of so that, during step b), the yoke is joined, by its second face, respectively to the second face of the textile support or to the first face thereof, on all sides around said hole and that, at the end of step c), the yoke is secured to the textile support, all around said hole, permanently.
- Such hole can advantageously be made by laser, as well as the setting of the yoke to said shape corresponding, to within dimensions, to that of the outline cutting the textile support.
- this localized hole in the yoke makes it possible to lighten it and to reduce the stiffness, even slight, that the latter imposes locally on the textile support, regardless of the side thereof to which the yoke is attached and united.
- the presence of such a hole in the yoke leaves the support textile directly visible locally in the area of this hole, as well around the yoke, which can also be used to create aesthetic effects.
- step a) and b) that is to say in particular to prevent the textile support from being deformed at the level of said contour, in particular when the latter has a certain complexity and in particular when it is such that, during the step a), certain areas of the textile support completely detach from the rest of the latter while they must remain in place until the end of step c) in the finished textile article, preferably implements the process according to the invention by assembling the textile support, prior to step a), at each point respectively of its first face or of its second face, to a conveyor which can be constituted for example by a band of a material chosen from a group comprising paper and non-woven textiles, by implementing step a) and step b) while the textile support is thus assembled with the conveyor, and by separating the conveyor from the textile support after step b).
- laser cutting can advantageously be used to respectively cut the assembly formed by the transporter and the textile support or textile support alone.
- the present invention also extends to such textile article, independently of the process according to the invention.
- a textile article comprising a flexible textile support cut in a pattern of closed outline and a flexible yoke having an approximately shape identical to that of said contour, with dimensions larger in all respects than that of said contour, said yoke being superimposed on said contour and joined by one face, on all sides around it, on one side of the textile support and said yoke being formed from a sheet of polyurethane or a similar material, coated with a flexible adhesive defining said face of the yoke and anchored to the textile support by said face thereof to secure the yoke with the textile support, while around said contour, permanently.
- the yoke may be opaque or may be translucent or transparent, colorless or colored in the mass, and it can carry an impression, in particular on said face attached to one side of the textile support.
- the yoke can advantageously present at least one zone facing said zone of the textile support so that that said area of the yoke is attached, by said face thereof, to said area of the textile support, by said face thereof, and that the glue is anchored to the support textile by said face thereof to mutually secure the yoke and the textile support in said respective areas, permanently.
- the yoke has, in said zone, at least one hole placed in view of said area of the textile support, having overall dimensions of all parts lower than those of said area of the textile support and arranged so that the yoke is attached by said face, on all sides around said hole, to said face of the textile support and the glue is anchored to the textile support, by said face of this, to secure the yoke with the textile support all around said hole of permanently.
- the textile support is a fabric formed of woven threads or meshed, it being understood that it would not go beyond the scope of the present invention to choosing other materials as a textile support, in particular materials non-woven textiles such as felts.
- Figures 1 and 2 show perspective views of a first example of the flexible textile article according to the invention, respectively by the face thereof intended to be visible, or recto, and by the face opposite this one, or verso.
- Figures 3 and 4 show another example of a flexible textile article according to the invention, in views similar to those of views 1 and 2 respectively.
- FIG 5 schematically illustrates the successive stages of the process according to the invention, in an embodiment making it possible to obtain an article according to Figures 1 and 2.
- FIG. 6 illustrates, analogously to FIG. 5, a method according to the invention making it possible to obtain an article of the type illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the yoke 7 is formed from a flexible sheet 10 of polyurethane or of a material similar, which defines its face 8, and a flexible coating 11 of heat-adhesive glue, which covers the sheet 10 opposite the face 8 and defines the face 9 of the yoke 7.
- Panel 7, considered as a whole, that is to say formed from the sheet 10 and adhesive coating 11, can be opaque or translucent or transparent, colorless or mass-colored, and it can be printed, in particular by its face 9, prior to its joining with the textile support 4 by the adhesive constituting the covering 11.
- the yoke 7 is provisionally coated, on its face 8, with a protective film 12, in particular intended to avoid direct contact of the polyurethane with the press plate heater generally used to effect the above-mentioned connection.
- a protective film 12 in particular intended to avoid direct contact of the polyurethane with the press plate heater generally used to effect the above-mentioned connection.
- It could be for example a film of paper retained on the face 8 by a low-glue adhesion, called "repositionable glue", so that one can easily remove the film 12 after said joining.
- FIG. 5 for the description for the description. of the corresponding example of implementation of the method according to the invention, and one deduce the characteristics of the article according to the invention as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 and as it can be obtained by implementing the method according to the invention in this example.
- the textile support 4 is preferably temporarily assembled, in all points of its face 6, to a conveyor 13 constituted in this example by a strip of paper or non-woven fabric, intended to be removed at the end of the process.
- this contour 16 leaves an area 17 of the face 5 all around it, and it can present several zones 18, 19, 20, each closed on itself, leaving subsist between them an area of the face 5 connected to its peripheral area 17, as is the case of zone 21 between zones 18 and 19 of contour 16, or a zone of face 5 totally separated from the peripheral zone 17 and from any other zone of this face 5, as in the case of zone 22 fully included inside zone 20 of the contour 16, itself entirely located in zone 19 thereof.
- contour 16 chosen that is to say the relative position of its zones 18, 19, 20 and the resulting delimitation of side 5 in zones 17, 22, 23, 24 does not constitute a nonlimiting example, intended to illustrate various aspects of the method according to the invention, and it is understood that it could be implemented with other patterns, taking up only some of the configurations of the outline 16 that we just described or using at least one of these configurations in several copies.
- a first step of the method consists to hollow out the textile support 4, inside the area 18 of the outline 16 and between the areas 19 and 20 of it.
- a laser is advantageously used which, in addition to a high precision in cutting, in particular due to computer control, offers the advantage of stabilizing the threads or fibers of the textile support 4 by mutual welding in edge of the cut-out when the textile support 4 consists of threads or fibers synthetic, or a majority of synthetic yarns or fibers mixed with yarns or natural or artificial fibers.
- the cutting can relate not only to the textile support 5 but also the conveyor 13, which is hollowed out together along the area 18 of the outline 16 and from which we thus remove, during this first phase of the process, a respective zone 25, 26 corresponding to zone 24 of face 5 of the textile support 4.
- the textile support 4 and the transporter 13 are thus completely hollowed out, that is to say holes on both sides, inside the area 18 of the outline 16 and the hole thus formed is designated by 27, especially in the textile support 4.
- zone 18 of the contour 16 only on the textile support 5, which presents no difficulty in cutting at laser, and this is done between zones 19 and 20 of contour 16, which allows detach and remove from the textile support 4 an annular zone 28 corresponding to the zone 23 of face 5, while the transporter 13 retains in its original position, by relative to the rest of the textile support 4, a zone 29 thereof corresponding to the zone 22 of side 5. It will be observed that thus, it is not necessary to preserve in the area support 4 ensuring the connection between its area 29 and the rest 30 of this support 4, corresponding to the peripheral zone 17 of its face 5, but it is obvious that such links can be kept if the chosen motif 15 is suitable, in which case can dispense with the transporter 13.
- the hole thus arranged in 32 has been designated the textile support 4 between zones 29 and 30 thereof.
- a contour 31 which constitutes the envelope of contour 16 in the sense that its shape is approximately identical to that of contour 16 but has dimensions superior in all respects to that of this contour 16, so that this contour 31 can appear in the form of a single contour which, in the example illustrated, surrounds the zones 18 and 19 of the contour 16 at a distance d from these zones which can vary of the order from a few mm to 1 cm, this figure being given by way of nonlimiting example, but just bend between zones 18 and 19 without closing in on itself between them.
- the contour -envelope 31 surrounds not only the outline 16 of the pattern 15, i.e. the marginal areas 33 of the area peripheral 17 bordering part of the zones 18 and 19 of the contour 16, but also a zone 34 of the peripheral zone 17 located between zones 18 and 19 of the contour 16.
- the yoke 7 with its protective sheet 12 by cutting, in a multi-layer material, not shown, comprising a polyurethane sheet 10 or similar material and, respectively on either side of this sheet 10, a glue coating layer corresponding to coating 11 and a sheet of provisional protection corresponding to sheet 12, a part 35 which thus groups together integral with the yoke 7, formed from the sheet 10 and the covering 11, and the temporary protective sheet 12.
- This cut can also be advantageously carried out with a laser.
- the part 35, including the yoke 17 can be without disadvantage traversed right through by at least one hole 37 also having at the level of side 9 of the overall dimensions smaller than those of zone 34 on all sides and arranged so that the face 9 is contiguous to this area 34 on all sides around of hole 37, i.e. covers area 34 without discontinuity between hole 37 and the zones 18 and 19 of the contour 16.
- a hole 37 in look at zone 22 of face 5, respecting the same conditions with regard to area 20 of the outline 16, so that the face 9 surrounds the hole on all sides as well formed and is placed in flat contact with face 5 all around it, between this hole and the area 20 of the outline 16.
- the hole 37, or any other hole similarly traversing the part 35, or if necessary, the yoke 17 alone, can advantageously be produced by cutting laser.
- the part 35 comprising in particular the yoke 7, being thus joined by the face 9 of the covering 11 to the face 5 of the textile support 4, in the determined position defined by the contour 31, the implementation of the second step is continued.
- a pressure is applied to the part 35, by the protective sheet 12, that is to say indirectly by the face 8 of the yoke 7 shown diagrammatically in FIG. 5 by an arrow 38, while applying to the part 35 a heating suitable for causing the activation, that is to say the melting, of the adhesive constituting the coating 11.
- the heating must be such that the adhesive of the coating 11 is brought to a temperature of the order of 160 to 170 ° C., and good test results have been obtained by maintaining, at this temperature, the application pressure of the part 35 by the face 9 on the face 5 of the textile support 4 for 15 to 20 seconds, under a pressure of 450 g / cm 2 , but these figures are also given by way of nonlimiting example.
- This causes the glue constituting the covering 11 to be anchored in the face 5 of the textile support 4, in the area 33 as in the area 34, outside the hole 37 as outside the holes 27 and 32 but over the whole of the periphery of each of them.
- a third step of the method according to the invention authorizes or causes the glue 11 to cool after having interrupted the heating and pressurization, which secures the part 35, and in particular the yoke 7, with the textile support 4, permanently, in the zones 33 and 34, apart from the holes 37, 27 and 32 at which the glue solidifies in becoming virtually invisible, naturally unless it has undergone an impression.
- the yoke 7 then secures the area 29 of the textile support 5 with zone 30 thereof, permanently.
- the adhesive constituting the coating 11 is chosen such that it stays flexible after cooling.
- the yoke 7 may not only be translucent or transparent, colorless or colored in the mass, if applicable if necessary printed, but also opaque.
- the textile support 4 is attached to the conveyor 13 either by its side 6 corresponding to the back 3 of article 1 to be produced, but by its side 5 corresponding to front 2 thereof, so that its face 6 remains free to receive yoke 7.
- the pattern 15 is inverted.
- zones 18, 19, 20 of contour 16 but with a shape constituting the specular image of the form illustrated in FIG. 5, and the zones 17, 21, 22, 23, 24 that these zones 18, 19, 20 of the contour 16 are zones of the face 6 of the textile support 4.
- the pattern 15 being thus defined at the level of the face 6 of the support 4, we found identically, in this embodiment of the method according to the invention illustrated in FIG. 6, the first step of the mode of implementation described with reference in FIG. 5, except that the contour 31 which is given to the part 35 when it is seen by the provisional protective sheet 12 or by the face 8 of the yoke 7 is inverted, like the motif 15 brought back to the face 6 of the support 4.
- it is by its face 9 defined by the adhesive coating 11 that the yoke 7, or the part 35, have a contour corresponding to the contour 31 brought back to the face 5 of the support textile 4, that is to say a contour enveloping the holes 27 and 32 as they appear from the face 5 of the textile support 4.
- Article 1 thus obtained is characterized in that the yoke 7, placed on the back 3 of this article 1, appears on the front 2 of it only through the holes 27 and 32, which appear entirely surrounded by the textile material constituting the support 4.
- the holes such as the hole 37, arranged in the yoke 7, then have no no aesthetic function, but reduce the stiffening effect, even weak, of the textile support 4 which can result from the presence of this yoke 7, lighten it and increase comfort if item 1 is intended to form part part of a garment.
- the glue constituting the covering 11 of the yoke 7 ensures that only the connection of the latter with the textile support 4 and the mechanical connection between zones 29 and 30 of it, but it also helps stop the wires constituting it, in an efficient and discreet manner.
