Abstract
Description
The present invention relates a gripper drum according to the preamble of Claim 1.
Such a gripper drum is from the DE-A-30 35 498.
US 5,447,302 describes an apparatus for removing paper products from a stack in a magazine. The device comprises a rotatably mounted Gripper drum, moving at a constant angular velocity about a central axis rotates. A fixed cam is rigidly mounted near the gripper drum. One Cam follower follows the outside of the cam and is at one end at one Attached link, which also rotates with the gripper drum. That I rotating link is pivotable about a pin, allowing a change in the cam radius can cause the connecting member to pivot, so that a other end of the limb squeezes or stretches a spring. This other end of the Link is connected to another link, which is a toggle lever can move in, where a gripper and a gripper pad are held. If the Toggle arm is retracted, so that the gripper and the gripper pad in faster move the same direction as the gripper drum, the gripper is opened. If the Gripper and the gripper pad are braked in relation to the gripper drum is the gripper closed.
The device according to US 5,447,302 has the disadvantage that the structure of the Linkage is complicated, especially because a spring is necessary to the Cam to follow the cam follower. The repeated Compression and stretching of the spring can occur during frequent rotation Weakening of the spring and erroneous operation of the entire device to lead. At high speeds, high spring forces must be maintained so that the Cam follower remains on the cam and the gripper works reliably. Does that dissolve? Follower of the cam, this may cause malfunction or damage to the Gripper lead.
In addition, the gripping force remains relatively constant, regardless of whether the Toggle arm moves. Therefore, a large gripping force is necessary for thick products which can then damage the thin products when they are on the same machine to be edited.
The invention is based on the object to provide a rotatable gripper drum, the is durable and has improved features at high operating speeds.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a gripper drum with the features Claim 1 solved.
The inventive cam arranged in a housing controls and limits the Movement of the cam follower and makes the use of a spring for adjusting the Cam follower superfluous.
Advantageous developments of the gripper drum are in the subclaims specified.
The term "cam housing" as used herein refers to a cam with a cam Groove or a slot in which a cam follower moves and / the cam both in a radially outward and a radially inward movement limited.

Fig. 1 shows a
Gummi.A
A cam follower 120 (Figure 3) on the side of the drum, not shown, is

The device is preferably symmetrical to the gripper 7 on the other side of the
As shown in Fig. 3, a
In
The
Fig. 1 anhand eines Pfeils dargestellt ist.
Fig. 1).
When the
At the same time the

The
