Claims (16)

  1. A quick connection terminal block (2, 22) with direct insertion of conductors, fitted to modular electrical units, and consisting of a conductor guide (34, 8) having a flat part (35) parallel to the direction of insertion of the conductors and a spring strip (37), an inclined portion (36) of which is held in contact with said flat part (35), and co-operating with these at least one control device (6, 26) enabling the inclined portion of the spring strip to be moved away from the flat part (35) of the conductor guide (34), characterised in that it comprises means for plugging or unplugging the terminal block (2, 22) respectively into/from the modular electrical unit without tools and at any time, the action of part of the spring strip (13, 33) on the casing (F) of said unit or on an element integral with it ensuring that electrical contact is made between the conductor guide (8, 32) and the terminal (14, 25) of the modular electrical unit.
  2. A quick-connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the conductor guide (8) and the spring strip (13) are arranged in a terminal block (2) which can be inserted parallel to the direction of insertion of the conductors into a housing (1) made in the small lateral face (L) of the casing (B) of the modular unit.
  3. A quick-connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that a flexible portion (13) of the spring strip projects from one of the faces of the terminal block (2) and is designed to be housed elastically in a recess (3) provided for the purpose in the corresponding wall of said housing (1) of the casing (B) of the modular electrical unit.
  4. A quick-connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the conductor guide (8) is flush with the face of the terminal block (2) opposite the one which comprises the flexible portion (13) of the spring strip, and in that it is kept in contact with the terminal (14) of the modular electrical unit, flush with the corresponding wall of the housing (1), by the action of said flexible portion (13) of the spring strip on the bottom of the recess (3).
  5. A quick-connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that said face comprising the conductor guide (8) comprises at least one through hole (7) allowing at least one arm of the control device (6) fitted to the casing (B) of the modular electrical unit to pass through said arm or arms being connected to a control button accessible from the front face (F) of said modular unit.
  6. A quick connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that said button is equipped with an elastic foot with an end hook which clips into the casing (B) of the modular electrical unit, said hook comprising two parallel surfaces which come into contact with two walls in said casing (B) acting as stops to limit the travel of the control devices.
  7. A quick connection terminal block (2) according to claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the terminal block (2) and the housing each comprise a locating element (4, 6) designed to co-operate with each other, ensuring that the terminal block (2) is inserted the right way round into the housing (1) made in the casing (B) of the electrical unit.
  8. A quick connection terminal block (2) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the terminal block (2) comprises a dovetail slide (16) situated on one of the faces parallel to the direction of insertion, the housing (1) receiving it comprising a protuberance (4) of corresponding shape provided to fit into it.
  9. A quick connection terminal block (2) according to claim 1, characterised in that the conductor guide (34), the spring strip (37) and the control device (26) are arranged in a terminal block (22) which can be attached to the casing (B) of the modular electrical unit in a direction perpendicular to the direction of insertion of the conductors, to occupy a space made at the longitudinal end of the front face (F) of the modular electrical unit, open on said front face (F) and on the small lateral face (L) of said casing.
  10. A quick connection terminal block (22) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the attachment is made by sliding along a slide (24) arranged on the wall running perpendicular to said front face (F) , which constitutes the bottom of it, and is completed on contact with a projection (21) running parallel to said front face (F), in such a way that the attached terminal block (22), filling said space, substantially restores the form of a conventional modular electrical unit.
  11. A quick connection terminal block (22) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the conductor guide (34) comprises a portion (32) parallel to the axis of the slide (24), at which the terminal (25) of the electrical unit is available, said portion (32) of the conductor guide (34) being inserted between said terminal (25) and the bottom of the slide (24).
  12. A quick connection terminal block (22) according to the preceding claim characterised in that the slide (24) comprises two T-shaped parallel walls (23) between which is arranged the terminal (25) of the electrical unit, at a distance from the bottom of the slide (24) substantially equal to the thickness of the portion (32) of the conductor guide (34) parallel to the axis of the slide (24).
  13. A quick connection terminal block (22) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the end (33) of the spring strip (37) situated opposite the one (38) bearing against the surface (35) of the conductor guide (34) exerts an elastic pressure against the terminal (25) of the electrical unit in the direction of the bottom of the slide (24).
  14. A quick connection terminal block (22) according to one of claims 9 to 13, characterised in that the control device (26) is fitted to the terminal block (22) to be attached to the casing (B) of the electrical unit.
  15. A quick connection terminal block (2, 22) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the faces of the terminal blocks flush with the small lateral faces (L) of the casings (B) are fitted with a device (9, 10; 29, 30) to guide the conductors to be connected, guiding the stripped end of each conductor from the front face (F) of the casing (B) of the modular electrical unit right up to connection between the conductor guide (34) and the spring strip (37).
  16. A quick connection terminal block (2, 22) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that these devices consist of at least one channel (10, 30) parallel in direction to the longitudinal axis of the small lateral face (L), of which the end opening onto the front face (F) of the modular electrical unit produces a locating slot for the connection, the other end being closed around at least one orifice (9, 29) marking the opening of a guide duct towards the place of connection between the conductor guide (34) and the spring strip (37).
