Description

The present invention relates to a device for anchoring the coating of a cloth broom on its associated support.

As is well known, for the cleaning of the floors, the "cotton brooms" are used which consist of an active part, consisting of a piece of fabric kept extended and fixed in the working position by an associated support in the form of a board.

This support, generally made of resinous plastic material, is composed of several parts hinged together and made coplanar during normal cleaning operations. In the central area of the support is a tie for the handle of the broom.

The piece of fabric is held by the support by means of the attachment of appendices provided at the ends of the piece of fabric and by means of two lever clamps hinged in seats formed in protrusions which rise laterally in the parts extremes of the upper surface of the support.

For a good use of the aforementioned brushes, it is necessary to have a good tension of the piece of fabric and a secure fastening of the piece of fabric that does not give in under the effect of particular stresses, such as, for example, by following the insertion of the piece of fabric in cracks or the presence of roughness on the floors to be treated, and it is also necessary that it is possible to spin the entire piece of fabric including its extreme parts.

Regarding the tension and the attachment of the piece of fabric, the means adopted to date in the different types of brushes can be considered effective. On the other hand, as far as spinning is concerned, up to now no total efficiency has been obtained.

In fact, when you have to wring the piece of fabric, the support, supported in the center by the handle, is disarticulated to stop being flat, which has to This is because the end portions of the support assume a downwardly inclined position and the piece of fabric, held in place by its appendages by the support clamps, assumes the configuration of a hanging festoon. The ends of the piece of fabric are then no longer completely below the support but they are partially backed to the support itself.

Prior to immersion operations for washing and rinsing, the piece of cloth is inserted into a wringer.

It is obvious that the compression obtained with the different types of spinning apparatus concerns the part of the piece of fabric which is below the solid components of the support. The parts of the piece of fabric that are leaning against the support naturally remain to be wrung. This means that the piece of fabric is not completely cleaned and that it continues to have unsprayed parts and impregnated with dirty liquid. Soil cleaning as a whole is affected by this situation. The use of an opposing roller wringing apparatus also fails to obtain a total wringing of a piece of cloth because, given the structure of the present supports, the rolls are not able to turn into comprising between them the solid parts of the support and are therefore not able to wring the end portions of the piece of fabric backed to the support.

The present invention solves the aforementioned problem and, while maintaining the validity of an active tension of the piece of fabric and a secure attachment of appendices which is provided with the piece of fabric, it allows to obtain the spin total of the piece of fabric including its extreme parts.

In order to wring out the entire piece of fabric, including its end parts, the innovations that are made, compared to what already exists, are described below.

First : On the upper surface of the support, in the zones of its extreme parts, there are studs which are configured with an underlying cut. These studs have, on a portion of their lower part extending from their attachment zone, recesses making appropriate notches. The edges of holes (reinforced or not by eyelets) formed in the appendages of the piece of fabric are inserted into the notches and therefore, when the piece of fabric is stretched, these holes prevent the appendages from rising and emerging from the studs.

Second : The gripping clamps have, according to the invention, a lever shape with substantially equal arms. The nipples or pins of these levers levers are articulated on lateral shoulders that stand in the zones of the end portions of the support. The lever arm extending inwardly from the support is pushed upwards by an underlying spring while the opposite lever arm, which extends outwards, is therefore pushed downwards. compressing, against the support, the appendages of the piece of fabric that are coupled with the attachment studs, thereby preventing the appendages from rising. For this arm to assume its function, it is provided with holes so as not to interfere with the underlying studs of the support.

Thirdly : The lateral shoulders which are provided in the end portions of the support are shaped in such a way as to define between them a space in which are held both the fastening studs integral with the support and the gripping tongs forming levers, even when these clamps are compressing the appendages of the piece of cloth inserted under the clamps.

With the three aforementioned innovations, that is to say with the underlying notch studs that rise from the upper surface of the support, with the lever clamps articulated on the support with an arm that exerts pressure on the appendages of the piece of fabric, without interfering with the heads of the studs, and with the lateral shoulders of the support which are shaped in a suitable manner to define a determined space between them, space from which neither the notch studs emerge underlying or the gripping pliers, we obtain what is explained below.

When in the cleaning phase, the piece of fabric is properly tensioned and hung effectively, its appendages being engaged by their associated holes in the notches of the attachment studs. When the outer parts of the support are inclined in angular position, the appendages are prevented from disengaging the attachment studs because they are pressed against the support by the lever arm of each of the attachment clamps. When one is in spinning phase, the presence of the lateral shoulder of the support, profiled in a decreasing manner in the direction of the end, allow the spinning of the end portions of the piece of cloth, when using a spinning apparatus with opposed rollers. These rollers, actually rolling freely on the lateral shoulders of the support, meet the end portions of the piece of fabric which are abutted over the ends of the lever arms exerting the pressure and which are thus subjected to spinning.

It should be noted that the piece of fabric is made both in width and length, with dimensions greater than those of the support because during cleaning, it can meet gently the walls and contours of the furniture.

In the fabric brooms existing on the market, the portions of the piece of fabric that extend longitudinally over its support are not susceptible to being wrung out and a good part of the Dirt collected during a previous cleaning phase continues to be transported during the successive cleaning phases, which alters the quantity and quality of the cleaning itself.

Another innovative feature relating to existing fabric brushes on the market is inherent in the device articulated in one of the elements of the support, which, when pressed, is detached from the small nose belonging to the opposite contiguous element of the support. The stall causes the removal of the flatness of the elements articulated between them and which constitute the support. This articulated device is made in one piece from molding which includes both the lip which caps the small nose of the opposite contiguous element, which exists when it is desired to maintain the flatness of the elements articulated together and constituting the support, that the own pins or hinge pins and the elastic branches that function as springs determining the load once in function. This results in a significant economic benefit due to reduced costs both because the assembly is reduced to one-piece molding than because labor time required to assemble separate components is saved.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described hereinafter by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a plan view of the support of a cloth broom. It can be seen in this figure that the support consists of several elements 1,2,3 connected to each other and provided at their ends with hooking clamps 5 forming levers with substantially equal arms.

Figure 2 is a side view of the support of the fabric broom whose constituent elements 1,2 are coplanar with each other. Note that the handle holder 6 is connected by a hinge 7 to the support 1, 2 and that the button 8 which holds the small nose of the opposite central element emerges from the profile of the two lateral shoulders 13 of the support.

Figure 3 is a side view corresponding to that of Figure 2, the support 1.2 now a piece of cloth 9. Note that in this figure the clamping clips do not protrude above the profile of the shoulders lateral 13 of the support.

Figure 5b is a side view of the gripper shown in Figure 5a. Note the presence, on one of the two lever arms, three holes 12 for the passage of the heads of studs 14 (described below) which stand from the upper surface of the support and on the other lever arm, an elastic laminar appendage 11 acting as a spring. The pins or articulation pins 10 are in a position almost central to both arms.

Figure 6 is a perspective view, taken from above, of an end portion of a support for a fabric broom according to the present invention. The support is devoid of the gripping pliers. This figure shows three anchor points 14 which rise from a hollowed or lowered area of the upper surface of the support. We also see in Figure 6 the lateral shoulders 13 which stand on both sides of the support, with a ramp rate down to the end. We see, on the part internal of one of the shoulders 13, a seat 19 for one of the two pins or pins 10 of the lever clamping clip not shown.

This figure shows the holes 12 provided for the passage of the anchoring studs 14, and the pins or articulation pins 10.

Figure 8 is a perspective view, taken from the top, of the end portion of the support for a corresponding fabric broom, but with the gripper 5 shown in Figure 6 mounted in place.

Les plots d'ancrage à entailles sous-jacentes et les pinces d'accrochage formant leviers ne font pas saillie au-delà des épaulements latéraux 13 prévus dans les parties extrêmes des éléments 1 et 2.Figure 9 is a side view of the support of the cloth broom, the elements 1,2 constituting this support forming an angle between them. It can be seen in this figure that the lateral elements 1,2 of the support are inclined downwards by being supported from the central element on which they are articulated. The underlying notch anchoring studs and lever fastening clips do not protrude beyond the lateral shoulders 13 provided in the end portions of the elements 1 and 2.

Figure 10 is a perspective view of the support of the fabric broom supported by a handle holder 6 and whose side members 1,2 form an angle facing downwards.

Figure 11 shows a portion of the fabric piece 9 to which is fixed a laminar appendage 15 provided with holes 16 reinforced with eyelets. Appendix 15 is shown extended outward.

La figure 12 représente la portion de la pièce de tissu 9 représentée sur la figure 11 dans le cas où l'appendice 15 pourvu des trous 16 est replié sur lui-même comme cela se produit lorsqu'il doit être inséré en dessous du bras presseur d'une pince d'accrochage 5, ce bras ayant été préalablement soulevé.FIG. 12 shows the portion of the piece of fabric 9 shown in FIG. 11 in the case where the appendix 15 provided with the holes 16 is folded back on itself as happens when it must be inserted below the pressing arm a gripper 5, this arm having been previously raised.

This figure shows the hooking pads of the support 1, one of the lateral shoulders 13 and the spring 11 which determines the pressure force of the lever arm against the surface of the end portion of the support.

La figure 14 est une vue correspondant à celle de la figure 13 mais avec la pince d'accrochage 5 non accouplée à la structure du support 1.FIG. 14 is a view corresponding to that of FIG. 13 but with the gripping clamp 5 not coupled to the structure of support 1.

La figure 15 est une vue, à plus grande échelle, correspondant à celle de la figure 14 et elle montre l'appendice laminaire 15, percé des trous 16 renforcés par des oeillets, de la pièce de tissu 9 disposée entre le support 1 et la pince d'accrochage formant levier 5 (cette dernière étant représentée non accouplée).FIG. 15 is a view, on a larger scale, corresponding to that of FIG. 14 and shows the laminar appendage 15, pierced with holes 16 reinforced by eyelets, of the piece of fabric 9 placed between the support 1 and the gripping clamp forming lever 5 (the latter being shown not coupled).

La figure 16 est une vue en coupe montrant schématiquement comment s'effectue l'insertion de l'appendice 15, percé des trous 16, de la pièce de tissu 9 en dessous de la pince d'accrochage formant levier 5, en étant prêt à être engagé, par l'un de ses trous 16 renforcés d'un oeillet, sur un plot d'ancrage 14 à entaille sous-jacente qui se dresse à partir de la surface du support 1.FIG. 16 is a sectional view schematically showing how the insertion of the appendage 15, pierced with the holes 16, of the piece of fabric 9 below the lever-forming gripper 5 is done, being ready to being engaged, by one of its holes 16 reinforced with an eyelet, on an anchoring stud 14 with an underlying notch which rises from the surface of the support 1.

La figure 17 représente schématiquement la phase d'insertion suivant celle qui est représentée sur la figure 16 et dans laquelle le trou 16, renforcé par un oeillet, de l'appendice laminaire 15 a été enfilé sur le plot d'ancrage 14 et engagé dans l'entaille sous-jacente présente dans la partie inférieure du plot d'ancrage 14.FIG. 17 schematically represents the insertion phase following that shown in FIG. 16 and in which the hole 16, reinforced by an eyelet, of the laminar appendage 15 has been threaded onto the anchor pad 14 and engaged in the underlying notch present in the lower part of the anchor pad 14.

The pressure exerted by the lever arm prevents the appendage 15 of the piece of fabric 9 from being lifted and in particular prevents the eyelet which reinforces the hole 16 from being disengaged from the underlying notch of the stud. anchor 14 to which it is coupled. The prevention of the lifting of the appendix 15 is crucial when the piece of fabric 9 is not stretched as is the case when the support is not with its elements 1-3 in the condition of flatness (especially during the spinning phase).

On voit sur ces figures que les tétons ou tourillons d'articulation et les branches élastiques 17 jouant le rôle de ressort forment un corps unique.FIGS. 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d are respectively views in profile, from above, from below and in perspective from below, of the hinged button 8 which, while resting on the small nose of the element of the support which is contiguous and opposite to the one on which it happens to be itself articulated, ensures the maintenance of the flatness of the elements 1,2,3 which constitute the support, and which, as a result of its depression, releases the small nose and allows the various elements 1 , 2,3 of the support to no longer be coplanar. We see in these figures that the pins or hinge pins and the elastic branches 17 acting as a spring form a single body.

Lors de leur mouvement de descente, les rouleaux essoreurs 18 agissent d'abord sur les parties extrêmes de la pièce de tissu 9 adossées au support 1,2 puis sur sa partie pendant en dessous du support 1,2, en produisant de ce fait un essorage intégral de la totalité de la pièce de tissu 9.FIG. 20 is a view of the support corresponding to that of FIG. 9 and it can be seen that the piece of fabric 9 is held by means of its appendages and the gripping clamps forming levers which prevent the eyelets of the holes of the appendages from becoming reveal underlying notches anchor pads, so that the piece of fabric 9 hangs freely and is ready to be dewatered. FIG. 20 schematically shows two pressure rollers 18 of a dewatering apparatus which begin to act by passing over the shoulders 13 of the supports 1, 2. During their descent movement, the squeezing rollers 18 act first on the end portions of the piece of fabric 9 leaning against the support 1, 2 and then on its part under the support 1, 2, thereby producing a integral wringing of the entire piece of fabric 9.

From the foregoing description, the validity of the present invention which improves the anchoring system of the end portions of the piece of fabric 9 which covers the support of a fabric broom and which makes it possible, by means of a spinning apparatus, with rollers, to wring out all of the piece of fabric 9 including the end portions of this piece of cloth 9.
