  • the head 82 and the rail 60 can be relatively angularly adjusted in position, by disconnecting the head 82 from the rail 60, and by repositioning it for example as shown in Fig. 6 in which the projection 74 is caused to engage groove 70, and projection 76 is caused to engage groove 72, whereby the intermediate rail, and therefore the screen panel 42 becomes angled to the rail 60 and therefore angled to the rail face 62, and in turn angled to the wall 38 on which rail 60 is mounted, for example to correspond to the angularity A1 or A2 in Fig. 3, and by further adjustment of the intermediate rail and mounting rail 60, so the angle can be further adjusted to suit for example the shower tray arrangement of Fig. 4.
  • Figs. 5 and 6 are diagrams only to illustrate how the functioning of the angular adjustment takes place, but any appropriate coupling arrangement between the rail 60 and the head 82 may be effected, and another example is illustrated in Fig. 7.
  • the fitter arrives with the enclosure panels 42 and 44, and the mounting arrangements according to the invention.
  • the mountings have been set up at correct angularity they are fixed, and shower panels can then be fitted and fixed to complete the installation. It is not necessary to provide specially designed mountings for the different shower tray configurations.
  • the mounting arrangements according to the invention can be adopted even when there is no shower tray, or can be utilised for example over baths where showers are provided in relation to such baths.

  • the arrangement provides that the screen 112 may be tilted relative to the mounting rail 104, and then locked in position for the same reasons as explained hereinbefore in relation to the embodiment of Figs. 5 and 6.
  • Figs. 8 to 11 are included to show some actual sizes of commonly used quadrant and extended quadrant shower trays, whilst Fig. 12 shows how the same enclosure may be used in a recess shower tray.
  • the figures will be largely self explanatory to the man skilled in the art, but briefly in each figure, the shower enclosure is shown to have two panels 200, 202 hinged together at axis 204, although hinging is not necessary.
  • the mountings (according to the invention) for connecting the panels 200, 202 to the walls are shown at 206, 208, and the figures show that the panel 200 has a door 210, the door in each figure being shown both in the closed position and the open position.

  • the extended quadrant type (Figs. 9 to 11) are sized according to the lengths of their straight sides. It is to be noted that the quadrant type is designed so that the curved side is in fact larger that a quarter of a circle, which means that the panels 200, 202 do meet the walls at an angle other than 90°.
  • a shower tray with a curved side of length equal (or substantially equal) to the length of the enclosure, so that as explained herein, one size of enclosure can be used for each tray.
  • the enclosure meets opposite walls of a three wall recess in which the shower tray or a prepared floor is provided.
  • the shower trays need not be of the quadrant or extended quadrant type for the shower enclosure shown to be usable, as long as the user can tolerate the shower tray being overhanging and/or located inside the shower enclosure.
  • the invention provides for the easy and efficient installation of shower screens where the screens have to cover a range of installations where the screens will meet the mounting walls at different angles, without the necessity of having to provide differing mounting rails and the like.

Claims (12)

  1. Ensemble enceinte de cloison de douche comprenant au moins un panneau de cloison de douche, ou deux ou plusieurs panneaux (42 ; 44) raccordés bord à bord, et des moyens de montage (46 ; 48) prévus au niveau d'un bord libre du panneau ou des panneaux (42 ; 44) en vue d'une fixation sur des murs verticaux (38 ; 40) où l'ensemble est destiné à être installé, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de montage (46 ; 48) prévus au niveau de l'un au moins des bords latéraux libres du panneau ou des panneaux (42 ; 44) comportent des moyens d'ajustement (60, 82) pour permettre d'effectuer un ajustement angulaire du montage du panneau ou des panneaux (42 ; 44) par rapport au mur adjacent (38 ; 40) et des moyens de verrouillage destinés à verrouiller lesdits moyens de montage (46 ; 48) dans une position ajustée, cas dans lequel le panneau ou un panneau respectif desdits panneaux (42 ; 44) est monté par rapport à l'un au moins des murs (38 ; 40) suivant un angle sélectionné par rapport à celui-ci.
  2. Ensemble, selon la revendication 1, dans lequel deux panneaux de cloison de douche (42 ; 44) sont raccordés bord à bord par des charnières.
  3. Ensemble, selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel les moyens de montage (46 ; 48) prévus au niveau de chaque bord libre du panneau ou des panneaux (42 ; 44) sont ajustables comme cela a été énoncé ci-avant.
  4. Ensemble, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le ou chaque moyen de montage (46 ; 48) comprend un rail mural (104) en vue d'une fixation sur le mur et un rail intermédiaire (100) lesquels présentent des surfaces d'accouplement complémentaires incurvées (108, 110) capables de se prêter à un ajustement angulaire relatif ainsi que des moyens de verrouillage (116) ceux-ci permettant par conséquent d'empêcher de façon sélective tout ajustement angulaire supplémentaire des surfaces (108, 110).
  5. Ensemble, selon la revendication 4, dans lequel les moyens de verrouillage (116) comportent des dents ou des nervures sur une surface ainsi que des dents ou des rainures complémentaires sur l'autre surface.
  6. Ensemble, selon la revendication 4, dans lequel les moyens de verrouillage (116) comportent un dispositif de verrouillage à vis.
  7. Ensemble, selon la revendication 4, 5 ou 6, dans lequel le rail intermédiaire (100) est conçu de façon à recevoir le bord du panneau adjacent (112) suivant une manière grâce à laquelle le panneau (112) est fixé ou peut être fixé sur celui-ci.
  8. Ensemble, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel ledit un panneau ou l'un desdits panneaux (42 ; 44) est un panneau de porte.
  9. Ensemble, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le panneau ou l'un au moins desdits panneaux (42 ; 44) est incurvé.
  10. Ensemble, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le ou chaque panneau (42 ; 44) possède un cadre de panneau.
  11. Kit permettant un assemblage in-situ de l'ensemble enceinte de douche, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant ledit panneau ou lesdits panneaux de douche (42 ; 44) ainsi que lesdits moyens de montage.
  12. Installation de douche comprenant un ensemble de douche, selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, lorsqu'il est installé en vue d'une utilisation.
