Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for opening prefabricated (Hose) pouch packaging ("pouches") and a method and a device for Filling prefabricated (tubular) bag packaging, which is a process or which includes a device for opening such pouch packs.

For numerous reasons, such as considerations about material savings and environmental considerations, However, efforts are often made to cut costs today therefore, the (tinplate) cans previously used on a large scale through bag packaging to replace, which can be manufactured with significantly less material.

The reason why such bag packaging has so far been only hesitant and essentially only in cases where the quantities to be packaged are very small are mainly due to the fact that the handling of prefabricated bag packaging is under Maintaining a certain shape (dimensional stability) is difficult with what applies in particular to the opening step, which precedes filling and sealing.

In a system according to the state of the art, the opening takes place in a prefabricated manner Form of existing pouch packaging, which is mostly rectangular and a circumferential seal and have an opening zone in that a bag packaging or Pouch is gripped on both of its side edges adjacent to the opening zone with grippers, which then move towards each other by a certain amount, so that the bag packaging is opened. This process is disadvantageous in two respects. On the one hand is opening of a bag by moving the side edges together only with relatively small dimensions possible, because otherwise the bag only bends without opening, and on the other hand the bag only relative to one due to the elasticity of the sealing seams is opened to a small degree, resulting in a correspondingly low maximum filling quantity leads.

Letztere bedürfen einer speziellen Halterung.EP 0 844 179 describes a method and a device for opening prefabricated ones Bags known, the opening of the bags with vacuum chambers, which consists of two separable half-shells are formed and in the closed state on the upper end face have an opening, at the edges of which the opened pouch bears. To hold the Bags are used for stationary rails, which also cover the opening of the end face. At this known device are only standing gusseted bags and no (tube) Bag packaging opened and filled. The latter require a special bracket.

The object of the present invention is therefore a method and an apparatus to indicate the opening of prefabricated bag packaging with which the mentioned disadvantages are overcome and unlimited large bag packaging safely can be opened and in particular can be opened much wider than when State of the art is the case.

In procedural terms, this task is accomplished by a method of opening prefabricated ones Pouches solved, with each pouch packaging a rotating Sealing and has an opening zone, with the steps: a) Introducing the Bag packaging in a vacuum chamber, which has a first opening, that of the opening zone opposite the bag packaging and in connection with the environment, and one second opening facing away from the opening zone; b) suction of air from the vacuum chamber through the second opening, with a volume flow that is sufficient to flow into the Vacuum chamber to create a vacuum from the environment through which the Bag packaging is opened; c) moving out the carrier with the held on it Bag packaging from the vacuum chamber, the bag packaging during the procedure is held on a carrier.

Through the targeted use of a vacuum and one on the opening zone of the bag packaging directed air flow is opened reliably and largely.

The bag packaging is preferably held on at least a first side edge. For example, a Partition plane can be arranged essentially in the plane of the bag packaging 5, or but perpendicular to it, i.e. essentially in the representation plane of FIG. 2.

As is further indicated in Fig. 2, the substantially cylindrical vacuum chamber 8 has an opening 9 on its upper end face (above the representation plane of FIG. 2) on the edge line of which essentially corresponds to the cross-sectional shape of the carrier 1, or on the opposite side of the bag packaging 5 as seen from the carrier 1 is supplemented accordingly.

Fig. 5 serves to further explain the vacuum chamber 8, which in this example two vertically divided half-shells 12, 13, between which the carrier 1 for the (not shown) bag packaging is included.

It can be seen that the first, stationary side edge 7 of the bag packaging has maintained its position unchanged, while the second side edge 6 in the direction has moved to the first side edge to compensate for the opening or expansion of the bag. As can further be seen from FIG. 3, the bag 5 has one half fully applied against the correspondingly shaped carrier 1 and on the other hand, how can be seen from the perspective view of FIG. 5, with its upper Edge largely against the edge of the first opening 9. As can also be seen from FIG. 5 , the two half-shells 12, 13 of the vacuum chamber 8 form one of the first opening 9 opposite second opening 10.

FIG. 4 finally shows a view corresponding to FIG. 1, the two half-shells 12, 13 the vacuum chamber 8 are removed or moved apart and the bag packaging 5 assumes its open, expanded shape, supported by the support of its two side edges 6, 7 on the corresponding contact surfaces of the carrier 1.

The function of the device according to the invention will be explained below. After the in 2 is reached, i.e. after the vacuum chamber 8 is around the has closed bag package 5 held on the carrier 1 becomes a vacuum source or suction device to the lower, i.e. opposite the opening zone of the bag packaging or second opening 10 connected. Because of the flow resistance the air through the first opening 9 into the vacuum chamber already forms in the latter slight negative pressure, while an inflow corresponding to the suction through the opening 9 takes place, i.e. hitting the (still) closed edge of the bag packaging in the Area of the opening zone.

The interaction of a slight negative pressure on the side surfaces of the bag packaging with an air flow hitting the opening zone leads to a gradual one Opening the bag packaging. This opening movement is accelerated because the first opening 9, through which the ambient air flows into the vacuum chamber 8, due to the increasing opening of the bag packaging is increasingly closed. Finally, the final state shown in Fig. 3 is reached, in which the upper edge of the Bag packaging 5 in the area of its opening zone largely against the edge of the first opening 9 abuts and thus the free flow cross section for in the vacuum chamber 8 inflowing ambient air significantly reduced. Because of the continued Suction taking place from the second opening 10 therefore arises from this point, i.e. from the concern of the upper edge of the bag packaging against the first opening 9, an increasing Vacuum inside the vacuum chamber 8. This negative pressure leads to that the bag package 5 is expanded as far as this without destroying the rotating Sealing in the area of the side and bottom edges is possible. The moves first, movable side edge 6 of the bag packaging so far on the second, stationary held side edge 7 to, as is necessary for the expansion.

The strong expansion of the bag packaging has the advantages that on the one hand a maximum Capacity is achieved, i.e. a given bag with a maximum filling quantity can be filled, and that, on the other hand, due to a certain plastic Deformation in the sealing area maintain this expanded shape for a while by itself remains, i.e. at least until the subsequent filling process.

Fig. 6 shows a schematic plan view of a section of a system for opening. Filling and closing (sealing) prefabricated bag packaging, the opening process is carried out according to the invention. The plant exhibits a continuous Conveyor 2 on which a variety of carriers at regular intervals 1 is attached. The conveyor device 2, which rotates continuously in the direction of arrow 15 takes prefabricated bag packs arriving at an input station 16 in the direction of arrow 17 on either from a corresponding stock or directly from a bag-making machine can come, whereupon this at an opening station 18 can be opened. The opened bag packs 5, each on a carrier 1 are held, reach a filling station, not shown, and then only one indicated sealing station 21, at which the opening zone or the upper edge of the bag is closed. The filled and closed pouch packaging will eventually dispensed at an output station 22 in the direction of arrow 23.

The opening station 18 is designed according to the invention so that over a certain A vacuum chamber runs around the length of each individual bag package is formed. For this purpose, a second conveyor device 24 is provided, which is within the opening area runs closely adjacent to the first conveyor 2, with the direction of movement and the speed of the adjacent areas coincide with each other (Arrow 25). The second conveyor 24 is at regular intervals with half-shells 12 provided with the corresponding half-shells not shown in detail in FIG. 6 13 cooperate, which are attached to the conveyor 2, so that within the Area in which the conveyor device 24 runs closely adjacent to the conveyor device 2, Vacuum chambers 8 are formed, as indicated in Fig. 5. Furthermore, the lower opening 10 of the vacuum chamber 8 formed by the two half-shells 12, 13 in a suitable manner within the opening area with a vacuum source or suction device associated so that the above with reference to FIG. 1 to 5 explained opening process of the bag packaging is carried out. At the end of The opening area 18 thus carries the fully opened bag packaging 5, which are each held on supports 1.
