  • the invention relates to a decorated natural or artificial pearl with an integrated Decorative element and process for its manufacture.
  • decorative elements jewelry or gemstones in particular are provided, but they also come Parts made of other materials, e.g. wood, glass, plexiglass, etc. into consideration.
  • Pearls from shells have always been a popular and sought-after item of jewelry and since the start of pearl farming around 100 years ago, an independent pearl market has developed that plays an important role in the jewelry industry.
  • those that have an ideal or an almost ideal spherical shape and a uniformly shaped spherical surface have always been preferred and consequently the highest traded.
  • it often happens that a pearl has a so-called "open spot”.
  • the core which the breeder had inserted into the shell or which got into it naturally, was not evenly coated with mother-of-pearl by the shell, but in one or more places none or only a relatively very thin one Layer of mother-of-pearl deposited, so that there were more or less deep pits of various shapes and areas.
  • These "imperfect""vacancies" on pearls are generally regarded as flaws and significantly reduce the quality and thus the market value of the pearls concerned.

Pearls from shells have always been a popular and sought-after item of jewelry and since the start of pearl farming around 100 years ago, an independent pearl market has developed that plays an important role in the jewelry industry.
Among the pearls, those that have an ideal or an almost ideal spherical shape and a uniformly shaped spherical surface have always been preferred and consequently the highest traded.
In pearl cultivation and also in nature, it often happens that a pearl has a so-called "open spot". That means: the core, which the breeder had inserted into the shell or which got into it naturally, was not evenly coated with mother-of-pearl by the shell, but in one or more places none or only a relatively very thin one Layer of mother-of-pearl deposited, so that there were more or less deep pits of various shapes and areas. These "imperfect""vacancies" on pearls are generally regarded as flaws and significantly reduce the quality and thus the market value of the pearls concerned.

It is common knowledge that a natural or artificial pearl with a Through hole or a blind hole can be provided to them unwinding a thread and making chains or bracelets, for example, or to put them on a pen and put them on for example To attach rings, pins and other jewelry bodies. to In many, if not, these holes are concealed from "open spots" not suitable in most cases, if only because because the "open position" in question is too large in diameter, and / or because the pearl in question has multiple "vacancies" that don't (accidentally) open a line through the center of the pearl.

The use of pearls is diverse and also includes the combination of pearl (s) with gemstones (s). Such combinations are usually additions, ie a juxtaposition of pearl (s) and gem (s), pearl (s) and gem (s) each separate, independent components of a brooch, a chain, a bracelet , Rings or any other piece of jewelry.
To date, only one type of integrated combination of pearl and gemstone is known. In this so-called "decorated pearl", the pearl is provided with a radial blind hole, and a gem set in metal is cemented into this hole. The blind hole has a round cross section, which is much smaller than half the diameter of the pearl, and the shape of the gemstone or its setting is inevitably closely adapted to it in terms of size and outline. DE 44 06 609 describes such a decorated natural or artificial pearl, into which a decorative element is introduced into a blind hole. The limited dimensioning of the recess, here drilling, is considered important in order not to impair the stability of the pearl.

FR-2,299,830 beschreibt eine Verankerungsvariante bzw. eine bestimmte Verankerungsvorrichtung für das bekannte Einbringen von facettierten Edelsteinen in Bohrungen.FR-2,299,830 describes an anchoring variant or a specific anchoring device for the familiar introduction of faceted gemstones in holes.

The present invention is based on the object of a decorated Natural or artificial pearl with integrated jewelry or gem or jewelry elements from other materials or a decoration for pearls, in particular for beads with "vacancies" and a method of making such to provide decorated beads, decorating any size areas take the pearl surface and shape the spherical surface as desired can be.

One solution to this problem is to provide a natural or artificial pearl of the type mentioned at the outset, in which one or more decorative element (s) is / are each designed as an inlay (= insert) with or without a setting, the outer, visible, The upper or decorative side of each inlay facing away from the pearl has a plan of any contour and dimensions within the boundaries of the spherical surface, and the inner underside of each inlay facing the pearl is provided with at least one locking and / or anchoring means. each inlay is received in a suitably prepared recess (depression, pit) of the pearl in a form-fitting or at least almost form-fitting manner, in the bottom and / or wall of which latching and / or anchoring means are / are formed, which are preferably compatible with that of the inlay Form-fit interaction according to the key-lock principle, and in or on which the inlays sitting in the recess are fastened in or on the pearl.
The recess (es) can be relatively flat and only lie in the outer (peripheral) spherical layers (mother-of-pearl layers) of the pearl. It is just as well possible to design one, several or all of the recesses in the form of a wedge-cone or tetrahedron, the wedge, cone or tetrahedron tip in each case pointing to the pearl core or / or pearl center.
The term "bottom of the recess" includes here and below not only more or less flat surfaces - such as are present in the case of rectangular recesses - but also inner edges - for example in the case of wedge-shaped or notch-shaped recesses - or also internal tips - for example in the case of tapered recesses.

A preferred embodiment of the pearl of the invention, the manufacturing technology is particularly simple, characterized in that the rest and / or Anchoring means on the underside of the inlay as a projection (s), in particular as a wedge (s), pin (s), nose (s) or feather key (s), and that the complementary locking and / or anchoring means on the floor and / or in the wall of the recess in the pearl as a depression (s), realized in particular as a groove (s) or tubular (s) (pocket) hole (holes) are.

In a variant of the invention with at least two inlays, it is provided that the pearl surface has at least two recesses, each with at least one has a tubular hole as a locking or anchoring means, the are arranged spatially to one another such that the or at least one hole at the bottom of one recess with or at least one hole on Bottom of the other recess one - preferably almost straight - Forms tubular passage between the two recesses. The Inlays provided for this purpose point to one another as locking and / or anchoring means complementary connecting means, pin-shaped anchoring means which are designed as complementary connecting means, preferably on the one hand as a set screw (solid or hollow pin with external thread) and on the other hand as a complementary threaded sleeve (hollow pin with corresponding complementary internal thread). If the inlays in question Sitting in the recesses, these connecting means are in the tubular Passage and are connected there, - in the case of Set screw and threaded sleeve screwed together. So that's one special ensures stable anchoring of the inlays on the pearl.

Fensteröffnungen, versehen, in denen ― vorzugsweise. ungefaßte - Schmuckelemente einsitzen. In a special development of this variant of the invention, the recess is for one inlay one tangential underneath the pearl surface and expanded radially like a cave, and the cave walls pointing away from the inside of the pearl are provided with window-like openings, so-called window openings, in which - preferably. unmounted - sit on decorative elements. This Decorative elements have a pyramid or cone (blunt) shape and are so oriented in the window openings that your pyramid or cone (blunt) foot points to the inside of the pearl. By tilting and / or supporting with each other and / or on the cave walls and / or on the in the inlay (s) of the two recesses is the position of this Decorative elements fixed in the window openings.

Another solution to the above task is to provide one Pearl of the type mentioned, in which the pearl consists of two or more spherical sections exists between which at least one disk-shaped Jewelry element is arranged, the two disc surfaces preferably congruent with the adjacent (disc-shaped) base area of the spherical section in question. According to the invention is in each spherical section and a through hole in each disc-shaped decorative element formed perpendicular to the base surfaces of the spherical sections and the disc-shaped jewelry element or the disc-shaped jewelry element and preferably runs through their respective center and with the through hole (s) of the adjacent ball section (s) or disc-shaped jewelry element / elements flees. There is one section in the through bore of each spherical section or section (end section or end section or intermediate section or intermediate piece) of an outer sleeve, which is the functional counterpart to an inner sleeve, namely such that the inner sleeve and outer sleeve means that between the inner sleeve outer wall and outer sleeve inner wall are formed, can be positioned against one another in a rotationally secure manner. With in other words: the inner sleeve is only in a single orientation to the outer sleeve can be inserted into this. In the outer sleeve sections and Through holes of the disc-shaped jewelry element / elements is the inner sleeve that represents the counterpart to the outer sleeve out, so that the spherical sections in exactly predetermined position to each other are arranged and fixed. The inner sleeve is - preferably preferably at least at their two free ends - with the outer sleeve with the two on the pearl ball surface (the two spherical caps) end faces of the outer sleeve (n-sections) - connected axially displaceably.

The advantage of the natural or artificial pearl according to the invention is that the jewelry element without setting integrated into the pearl or its surface and mother-of-pearl and jewelry element material, for example gemstone, direct, seemingly seamless - as if this combination were natural Grown wisely - lying side by side.

A variant of this natural or synthetic pearl decorated according to the invention apparently seamlessly integrated jewelry elements without a visible frame characterized in that in at least one spherical section at least a window-like hole, i.e. a so-called "window opening" is formed, in which a pyramid or conical inlay is arranged, the floor plan of which corresponds to the window opening and its thicker pyramid or conical foot end is facing the inside of the pearl and is located on the inside Pearl core supports.

Through the pyramid or cone shape of the inlay concerned and its positioning with the thicker pyramid or cone base inside the pearl the visual impression creates that the pearl has inclusions that extend up to Continue inside the pearl or even make out the entire pearl core.

The present invention furthermore relates to a method for producing a decorated natural or artificial pearl, which comprises the following steps:
  • the natural or artificial pearl is provided with an incision,
  • a depression is made in the natural or artificial pearl,
  • the resulting depression is located on the floor or the wall of the incision,
the piece of jewelry is fitted into the cut,
the piece of jewelry is fastened in the pearl incision, the depression serving to anchor an anchoring means which is fastened to the piece of jewelry,
the piece of jewelry is ground along with the pearl surface, or in another way known to the person skilled in the art, is adapted alongside the pearl surface, the surface of the piece of jewelry being integrated into the surface of the pearl.

The natural or artificial pearl is preferably cut first and then the depression is applied to the bottom or the wall of the pearl incision. The depression can be introduced, for example, by drilling or milling. The incision is preferably made with a cutting wheel, for example with a cutting wheel set with diamonds. If necessary, the incision can be processed further, for example with a diamond file. It is important that the edges of the incision remain as smooth as possible. The angle of the pearl incision is preferably between ninety and sixty degrees. The recess formed by the pearl incision can take various forms. It can be wedge-shaped, cone-shaped or tetrahedral, the wedge-shaped, cone-shaped or tetrahedral tip pointing towards the pearl core. It is also possible for these tips to point towards the center of the pearl. The recess can be flat or deep. The resulting depression can be, for example, a groove or a tubular blind hole, which can be further removed if necessary. However, it is not limited to the embodiments mentioned, but the countersink can take any form known to the person skilled in the art in order to be able to accommodate corresponding anchoring means. In a preferred embodiment, the depression is a blind hole that is created by a bore.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the inventive method, instead of step c), a stone setting is precisely fitted into the pearl incision, so that the anchoring means, which is fastened to both the stone setting and the piece of jewelry, is fitted into the depression or into the borehole and the piece of jewelry is then fitted into the socket. In this variant of the method, in which the piece of jewelery is inserted into the pearl, in step d) the piece of jewelery is fastened in the stone setting in the pearl incision, the depression or the borehole serving to anchor an anchoring means which is attached to the piece of jewelery and the Stone frame is attached. The piece of jewelry with or without a setting can be attached to the pearl in addition to being attached by the anchoring means, eg by adhesive. The pearl incision is preferably almost completely filled by the piece of jewelry with or without a setting. The piece of jewelry is now continuously adapted to the pearl surface of the pearl, for example by grinding. If the piece of jewelry sits in a socket and the socket is not yet adapted to the surface, then the piece of jewelry together with the socket can be ground to the pearl surface in one step. This step requires extreme care because the sensitive surface of the pearl must not be damaged. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the method, one or more locking boreholes for receiving a part of the anchoring means are made in the stone setting and in the piece of jewelry, the locking boreholes in the piece of jewelry and in the setting being precisely matched to one another and with another part of the anchoring means in the Countersink or anchored in the hole of the pearl incision.
According to the method according to the invention, the use of an anchoring pin as an anchoring means is particularly preferred. It is particularly advantageous if the anchoring pin engages like a clamp through the locking holes in the stone setting and into the locking holes in the piece of jewelry. The stone is locked when the stone, stone setting and anchoring means are attached to the pearl. Furthermore, it is advantageous if the anchoring pin in the inserted state also exerts pressure on the depression or on the borehole of the pearl incision, which serves to anchor the stone and stone setting in the pearl incision.
Variants of the method described above are also the subject of the present invention. For example, the piece of jewelry can be attached to the bead incision by more than one anchoring means. Accordingly, several depressions can be provided, starting from the pearl incision, into which anchoring means are anchored. Furthermore, several gemstones with or without a setting can be worked into a pearl. These pieces of jewelry can be connected to one another by means of fastenings or anchors or can also be fastened independently of one another in the respective pearl incision or the recess. Various pieces of jewelry can be introduced into a pearl incision in a divided version.

The present invention furthermore relates to an anchoring pin for anchoring gemstones in pearl incisions. The pin is designed by means of a resilient mechanism as a clamp, stopper, lock in order to hold a piece of jewelry and / or stone setting, pressure being exerted on the anchoring depression or on the anchoring borehole after inserting the pin with jewelry and / or stone setting into the pearl incision. The anchoring pin is preferably designed so that it is clamped, squeezed, pressed, blocked when inserted into the anchoring recess (depression). As a further variant, the anchoring pin can additionally be glued or cemented during this process. Alternatively, you can also solder it to the socket. In the latter case, the upper part of the pin does not necessarily act as a clamp, which engages in locking holes in the stone or the socket, the stone is then held in the socket by other means. For example, another small pin can reach into the locking drill holes through the socket. However, other means known to the person skilled in the art could also be used to keep the stone in place.
In particular, the construction of the pin ensures that the anchoring of the piece of jewelry is locally separated from the actual pearl incision. That is, even if the pearl incision itself is relatively flat, the anchoring part of the pin preferably extends into the vicinity of the core or particularly preferably into the core of the pearl. In the case of cuts that extend very deeply or even into the pearl core, the distance between the part that holds the stone and the part that ensures that the gemstone is anchored in the pearl naturally decreases.
The use of the anchoring pin according to the invention is not limited to the production of the pearl according to the invention, but is also particularly advantageous when anchoring settings or stones in blind holes. The previously used anchoring means for stones in pearls had no local separation between the place where the piece of jewelry itself is attached to the pearl and the place of anchoring the piece of jewelry.

A possible embodiment of the anchoring pin according to the invention is shown in FIG. The pin shown has a section along the longitudinal axis of the pin that is smaller than the longitudinal axis of the pin. A part of the pin is designed as a kind of clip to hold jewelry and / or stone setting and, after inserting the pin with jewelry and / or stone setting into the pearl incision, pressure is exerted on the anchoring recess. The invention also relates to the use of the anchoring pin described above for anchoring gemstones in pearls.
Of course, the piece of jewelry can also be anchored by other means known to those skilled in the art.

The pearl incision can be enlarged after cutting and thus the pearl can be further exempted. So in a variant of the invention decorated natural or artificial pearl the original pearl core completely or partially removed. In addition to the one originally installed Pearl incision becomes at least one window-like hole, a so-called "Window opening" attached. In this window opening a pyramid or conical inlay, the floor plan of which corresponds to that of the window opening, such used that the thicker pyramid or cone foot end to the pearl interior points. Then the pearl core is restored or a new pearl core (in place of the old one) in the pearl. This new core is preferred provided with a through hole for the inner sleeve. The The outer shape and dimensioning of the renewed core should preferably be chosen so that the pyramid or cone base of each inlay can be supported on it and the inlay is self-locking in the window opening in question.

  • The object of the invention is also achieved with a further variant of the method for decorating pearls, which is characterized by the following measures:
  • You first provide a pearl with a through hole and place an outer sleeve in this through hole, which is the functional counterpart to an inner sleeve, in such a way that inner sleeve and
  • The outer sleeve can be positioned against one another in a rotationally secure manner by means which are formed between the inner sleeve outer wall and the outer sleeve inner wall, ie can only be pushed or guided into one another in one orientation. Then the pearl is divided perpendicular to the through hole and the outer sleeve guided therein into two or more spherical sections with an inserted outer sleeve section. Between each two originally adjacent spherical sections, at least one disk-shaped decorative element is positioned, which is provided perpendicularly to its disc surfaces and preferably in the center with a through-hole, in such a way that the through-hole of each disk-shaped decorative element with the through-holes or the outer sleeve sections of the inserts or therein Align spherical sections and form a tubular channel. Then one or the inner sleeve, which is the functional counterpart to the outer sleeve (n sections) guided in the through bores of the spherical sections, is inserted into this tubular channel, the individual spherical sections - due to the non-rotatable positioning of inner sleeve to outer sleeve - their original, resume natural spatial orientation to each other. In order to fix the spherical sections and the disk-shaped jewelry elements to one another in an axially displaceable manner, the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve are connected to one another. A method variant is preferred in which the inner sleeve is connected at its two free ends to the end faces of the outer sleeve (n sections) which end on the pearl ball surface (the two spherical caps) - riveted in the case of metal sleeves, for example.
A variant of this process, in particular for the production of a decorated Pearl with unmounted window and belt-shaped inlays is suitable, is characterized in that in at least one of the spherical sections partially or completely removed the original pearl core and thereby one Ball half-shell forms. At least one is then in this spherical half-shell window-like hole, a so-called "window opening", incorporated. In this window opening you put a pyramid or cone-shaped inlay, the floor plan of which corresponds to the window opening, such that the thicker end of the pyramid or cone base points to the inside of the pearl. Then the pearl core restored or a new pearl core (in place of the old one) in the spherical half-shell (s) used and provided with a through hole for the inner sleeve. The outer shape and dimensions of the renewed core should be chosen so that the pyramid or cone base of each inlay can be supported on it and the inlay is self-locking in the relevant window opening.

Stein und Fassung 14 ) und der in die Perle 2 eingearbeiteten Ausnehmung 6 kann die Fassung 14 zusätzlich an der Perle 2 verkittet oder verklebt sein.1-3 shows a natural or cultured pearl 2 decorated according to the invention shown that an inlay 4 with an elliptical decorative surface and wedge-shaped or gable roof-shaped Has basic body. In the pearl 2 is a notch-shaped Recess 6 (or recess) incorporated, for example ground in, milled, filed or drilled. At the bottom 8 of the recess 6, i.e. in this case in the one formed by the two inclined walls of the recess Longitudinal edge, a hole 10 is formed, preferably drilled. The inlay 4 consists of a decorative element 12, in particular a decorative or Gemstone, in a metal setting 14, both the shape of the decorative element 12 or .. Steins - if necessary, by appropriate (grinding) processing - As well as that of the socket 14 to the notch shape of the recess 6 and is adapted to the curvature of the spherical pearl surface 16. Of course, the shape of the decorative element or stone can also vary as long as it is included in a version that is preferred fits positively into the recess 6 in the pearl 2. On the side facing away from the stone Bottom 18 of the socket 14, a pin 20 is formed, which in the Hole 10 at the bottom 8 of the recess 6 can be inserted to inlay 4th and to connect Pearl 2 with each other (to anchor or lock). to Stabilization of this - preferably form-fitting - connection between the inlay 4 (decorative element 12 or stone and socket 14) and the in Bead 2 incorporated recess 6, the socket 14 can additionally on the Pearl 2 cemented or glued.

4-6 show a pearl 2 according to the invention with an inlay 4, the one ribbon or strip-shaped decorative surface and a semicircular disc-shaped Has basic body. The complementary recess 6 in the pearl 2 has two approximately perpendicular walls 26 which are semicircular in outline and an almost horizontal, band-like or strip-like outline Bottom 8, both of which have narrow faces on the pearl surface 16 ends. Otherwise, this pearl 2 is based on the same construction principle constructed as the bead 2 described in Figs. 1-3. As a locking or anchoring device on the inlay 4, however, two connecting pins 20 are formed, and The recess 6 in the pearl 2 accordingly has two (blind) holes 10 in a congruent arrangement.

Diese Stifte 20 und komplementären Löcher 10 können aber auch entfallen.7-9 show a pearl 2 according to the invention with a wedge-shaped recess 6 and a designated inlay 4, which has a large, elliptical shape Has decorative surface and a wedge-shaped body. The Version 14 of the inlay 4 is parallel on its underside 18 facing the pearl 2 provided with three keel-shaped projections 22 to the longitudinal axis of the ellipse, the kind of feather keys in appropriately designed longitudinal grooves 24 in The bottom 8 and the wall 26 of the recess 6 engage. On the middle one, lowest projection 22, two anchoring pins 20 are formed, which in engage corresponding blind holes 10 in the middle, lowest groove 24. These pins 20 and complementary holes 10 can also be omitted.

In the pearl surface 16 is a semi-circular disc-shaped recess 6 (or recess) is incorporated, preferably milled, which as a locking or anchoring means in its flat Bottom 8 has a hole approximately in the center. On the opposite The side of the pearl surface 16 is approximately diametrically a second recess 6 '(or recess), the contours of which correspond here to a cone, and in the bottom 8 '(the cone tip) as a locking or anchoring means a hole is also made. The two recesses 6, 6 '(depressions) and in particular the two holes are in relation to one another arranged in such a way that they are aligned with one another and create an almost linear, form tubular passage 28 through the center of the pearl. The Both inlays 4, 4 'for these recesses 6, 6' each exist - as in Fig. 1-6 - from a jewelry element 12, 12 'in particular a jewelry or Gemstone, in a metal setting 14, 14 ', both the shape of the Jewelry element 12, 12 'or. Steins - if necessary by a corresponding (Grinding) processing - as well as that of the frame 14, 14 'to the shape the recess 6, 6 'and the curvature of the spherical pearl surface 16 is adapted. In this example, too, the shape of the decorative element can 12, 12 'can be varied as long as it is included in a version 14, 14' which is preferably a positive fit in the relevant recess 6 or 6 'in the pearl (surface) 2 or 16 fits. Each inlay 4,4 'points to its the underside 18 of the decorative element 12, 12 'or stone facing away Version 14 a pin, which in the hole at the bottom of each Recess can be introduced. The pin of one - here the conical one - Inlays 4 is a set screw 30, i.e. it is massive and with an external thread provided, and the pin of the other - here of a semicircular disk - Inlays 4 'is a threaded sleeve 32, i.e. as a sleeve with an internal thread. The threads of the two pins are complementary to each other and the length of each pin is such that the pins are in the tubular Passage 28 inserted into each other and screwed together can to connect inlays 4, 4 'and pearl 2 together. For stabilization the connection between inlays 4, 4 'and pearl 2, each inlay 4,4' also in this example case additionally with floor and / or walls of the concerned Recess 6, 6 'in the pearl 2 cemented or glued.

In the manufacture of this pearl 2, the procedure is preferably such that First the threaded sleeve 32 (here semi-circular) Insert inlay 4 into the complementary recess 6 and then the rotationally symmetrical (here circular conical) provided with set screw 30 Inlay 4 'by turning into its recess 6' and thereby simultaneously anchored in the threaded sleeve 32 of the opposite inlay 4.

For the use of non-rotationally symmetrical inlays with grub screws, the Embodiment according to Fig. 12-13 proposed. Here is the issue Inlay 4 'of three components, namely the decorative element 12', in particular a gem, a socket 14 'for the same, and one Set screw in the form of a screw 36. This screw 36 is in a hole 38 guided on the underside 18 'of the socket 14', the screw head 40 lies on the underside surface facing the decorative element 12 'and the Screw pin 42 on the bottom surface facing the pearl 2 from this protrudes. With the screw 36, the socket 14 'by turning in the Set threaded sleeve 32 of the second inlay 4, and then that Decorative element 12 'inserted into the socket 14' and in the usual way fixed.

14-17 show an embodiment of a pearl 2 according to the invention with a belt-shaped or disk-shaped inlay 4. The pearl 2 is provided with a radial through bore 58. A tube consisting of outer sleeve 46 (so-called "hinge") and inner sleeve 48 or inner pin (so-called "counter hinge") is inserted into this through bore 58. The two sleeves 46, 48 (or sleeve and pin) are oriented relative to one another with means 50 which act between the sleeves 46, 48, ie between the outer wall of the inner sleeve 48 (or the inner pin) and the inner wall of the outer sleeve 46. The outer sleeve 46 is connected to the pearl 2, for example glued to the pearl wall on its outer wall and / or flanged or similarly anchored to the pearl 2 on its two end faces. This pearl 2, which is provided with a through bore 58 and an outer sleeve 46 located therein but a removed inner sleeve 48 (or inner pin), is broken down radially to the longitudinal axis of the through bore 58 into two spherical sections 54, 54 ', for example sawn. Arranged between these two separate spherical sections 54, 54 'is a disc-shaped decorative element 56, preferably a precious or gemstone disc, the disc surface of which is essentially congruent with the base surfaces of the spherical segments 54, 54', and that or the center with a through bore 58 "is provided, the diameter of which is congruent or almost congruent to that of the outer sleeves (parts) 46 or 60, 60 'in the two spherical sections 54, 54'.
The two spherical sections 54, 54 '(spherical halves) and the decorative element disk 56 arranged therebetween are radial through the inner sleeve 48 (or the inner pin) inserted into the outer sleeves (parts) 46 or 60, 60' and the through bore 58 "in the stone disk 56 For axial fixation, the inner sleeve 48 (or the inner pin) is fixed on the two end faces of the outer sleeve 46 ending on the spherical surface 16 or two spherical caps or spherical caps. The inner sleeve 48 (or inner pin) and outer sleeve 46 preferably consist of Metal and the axial fixation is preferably realized by riveting.

In a simpler - not shown here - variant of this embodiment the tube consists of only one sleeve (a "hinge") which rivets the spherical sections and stone disc (s).

Fig. 23).
Fig. 22).
Fig. 21). Fig. 21). Fig. 21).
18-23 shows a pearl 2 according to the invention with a belt-shaped or disc-shaped and a plurality of window-disc-like inlays 44, all of which are integrated into the pearl surface without a setting. The pearl 2 consists of two halves or hemispheres that have been created by sawing or similar dicing processes. The pearl core 72 (ie the foreign body that originally got into the mussel naturally or through the hand of the grower and triggered the pearl formation) is completely or partially removed in each pearl half, for example milled out, sawn out or the like, as a result of which one (pearl or spherical) half-shell 62, 62 'has arisen. In each of these two pearl half-shells 62, 62 ', for example, three window-like holes, so-called “window openings” 64, are formed, one in the form of a triangle, one in the form of a square and one in the form of a circle. In principle, however, the window openings 64 can also have any other shape. In each of these window openings 64, a window-pane-like inlay 44 in the form of an unmounted, conical, wedge-shaped or pyramid-shaped decorative element, in particular a decorative or precious stone, is arranged.
It is essential to the invention that each of these inlays 44 is at least approximately conical, wedge-shaped or pyramid-shaped, that is to say has two end faces of differently sized base areas, namely a larger so-called foot side 66 and a smaller, so-called tip side 68, which are arranged in relation to one another in this way, that their respective center lies on a common imaginary axis and that the base area of the foot side 66 projects over that of the tip side 68 along the entire or at least the major part of its circumferential line (cf. FIG. 23).
In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the inlays 44 for the triangular and square window openings 64 each have the shape of a truncated pyramid (according to FIGS. 23B, C) with a correspondingly triangular or square base area, and the inlays for the round window openings 64 each have the shape of a Truncated cone (according to FIG. 23 A). These truncated pyramids and truncated cones are arranged in the window openings 64 in such a way that the pyramid or cone base 66 points towards the pearl interior or the half-shell opening and the truncated cone or pyramid tip 68 (here in the example) points away from the pearl interior or the half-shell opening and lies flush in or on the pearl ball surface 16 (cf. FIG. 22). The truncated cone or pyramid tip 68 can - as in the embodiment shown here by way of example - be adapted to the curvature of the pearl ball surface 16 in order to obtain an at least almost ideal, homogeneous (uniformly smooth and closed) ball surface 16. But it can also protrude beyond the beads (ball) surface 16 or be sunk into it. Basically, the cone or pyramid tip 68 can also be present or have been preserved and, if desired, can also be additionally designed (modeled).
The pearl half-shells 62 and 62 'provided with window openings 64 and conical, wedge-shaped or pyramid-shaped inlays 44 inserted therein are assembled to form a closed pearl ball 2, with a disk-shaped decorative element 56 at the interface between the two half-shells 62 and 62' or ball halves , preferably made of jewelry or precious stone. This disk-shaped jewelry element 56 has the same base area as each of the two spherical halves or pearl half-shells 62, 62 '. Half-shells 62, 62 'and interposed jewelry disc 56 are each provided in the center with a through hole 34 in which a rod-shaped support element 70 is arranged (cf. FIG. 21). The carrier element 70 is firmly connected at one end to one pearl half-shell 62 and at the other end to the other pearl half-shell 62 ', so that the two half-shells 62, 62' and the jewelry disc 56 arranged therebetween are fixed to one another in a manner such that they cannot move or twist. As a rod-shaped carrier element 70, in particular a metal pin comes into consideration, which is crimped to the pearl surface 16 at its two pin ends or is otherwise firmly connected. Inside the pearl, ie in the cavity formed by the half-shells 62, 62 ', a new pearl core 72 - for example made of plastic, stone or similar materials - is arranged or the old one is supplemented accordingly. The inlays 44 are supported on this core 72 with their respective cone or pyramid base 66 (cf. FIG. 21). As a result of this support and because of the excess of their foot 66, they sit firmly against the relevant window opening 64 in a self-locking and slip-resistant manner. The carrier element 70 is guided through a bore 78 in the pearl core 72 (cf. FIG. 21).

24-27 show yet another variant of a pearl 2 decorated according to the invention, which can be understood as a combination or synthesis of the pearls according to FIGS. 10-14 and the pearl according to FIGS. 18-23. In this pearl 2, two recesses 6, 6 ′ are machined into the pearl surface 16, which are connected to one another via a tubular through-bore 28. One recess 6 'is designed as a flat, truncated cone-shaped pit, the truncated cone pointing towards the inside of the pearl and thus forming the bottom of the recess 6', while the conical foot represents the opening of the recess 6 'on the pearl surface 16. In this recess 6 'is an inlay 4', consisting of socket 14 'and a decorative element 12', which has a pin-shaped threaded sleeve 32 on its underside 18 'facing the bottom of the recess, which lies in the through hole 28.
The second recess 6 opens into a cavity 74 or is designed as a cavity 74, which extends below the pearl surface 16, tangentially and radially into the interior of the pearl. In the recess 6 itself sits a pointed cone-shaped inlay 4, which is screwed via a threaded pin 30 on its underside, ie the cone tip, in the through bore 28 to the threaded sleeve 32 of the opposite inlay 4 '. In the cave walls 76 pointing away from the interior of the pearl, window-like hole openings, so-called window openings 64, are formed, in which unmounted decorative elements as window pane-like inlays 44 sit positively. These decorative elements or window-like inlays 44 have the basic shape of a pyramid or truncated cone and are oriented in the window openings 64 in such a way that their pyramid or truncated cone foot points towards the inside of the pearl, while the pyramid or truncated cone surface is flush with the pearl surface 16. By tilting and / or supporting each other and / or on the cave walls 76 and / or on the inlay (s) 4, 4 'seated in the two recesses 6, 6', the position of these decorative elements 44 is in the window openings 64 fixed.
