Method for vertical and horizontal adjustment of the barrels of a triple-barrelled gun in which at the rear cartridge chamber end the barrels are connected rigidly to one another and in which at the muzzle ends a barrel mounting bracket is provided which is connected to a first barrel and supports the other two barrels axially and displaceably, wherein a socket (5) is mounted rigidly on the first barrel (1) and this socket (5) is connected detachably to a first barrel mounting bracket (9) which supports the muzzle ends of the other two barrels (2, 3) in their nominal position relative to the muzzle end of the first barrel (1), characterised in that all three barrels (1, 2, 3) are fired and in the event of an unacceptably large deviation in the point of impact of at least one of the other two barrels (2, 3) relative to the point of impact of the first barrel (1) the first barrel mounting bracket (9) is changed for a barrel mounting bracket in which the position of the muzzle end of the barrel (2 or 3) with the divergent point of impact is changed relative to the muzzle end of the first barrel (1) in a direction in which the divergence is reduced.
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that a plurality of barrel mounting brackets (9) are stocked, the mountings (14, 15) of which exhibit different positions relative to the first barrel (1) for the muzzle ends of the other two barrels (2, 3).
  3. Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the socket (5) is mounted detachably on the first barrel (1).
  4. Method according to claim 3, characterised in that the socket (5) is mounted so that it can turn on the first barrel (1).
  5. Device for implementing the method according to one of claims 1 to 4, in which a sleeve (4) is provided which can be fitted on to the muzzle end of the first barrel (1) and connected rigidly thereon and carries a socket (5) which is arranged transversely to the axis (6) of the bore, and barrel mounting brackets (9) can be connected detachably to this socket (5), characterised in that the sleeve (4) is soldered or screwed to the muzzle end of the first barrel (1).
  6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the socket (5) and the barrel mounting brackets (9) are connected to one another by means of a screw (12) and locating pins (13).
  7. Device according to one of claims 5 or 6, characterised in that the mountings (14, 15) for the other two barrels (2, 3) exhibit different distances relative to one another and relative to the axis (6) of the bore of the first barrel (1).
