Definitions
- the present invention relates to a packaging for the packaging and presentation on a shelf or shelf store of articles grouped in batches.
- Packaging particularly in corrugated cardboard, is often used to package items which are then presented to the sale on shelves of store shelves also called linear.
- a first solution to put items on the shelves is to open packaging, then transfer the items one by one to the supply shelf at the sale. This solution takes significant handling time.
- the object of the invention is to provide packaging for the packaging and presentation on a shelf of articles grouped in batches, which is of a simple and economic structure, which is of a very use convenient for operators placing items on the shelf, and which can allow presentation for sale in different forms.
- the packaging it relates to includes in combination a tray which, serving as supports for the articles, comprises a bottom delimited along three of its edges by three sides, the fourth edge being free, and a cap which, intended to cover the articles and to be fixed on the tray, closed at at least partially the packaging along the edge thereof not comprising next to.
- the bottom of the tray is rectangular, and the edge does not with side pitch is oriented in the width direction.
- the tray is made of cardboard and the cap is made of cardboard. It is thus possible to do different uses of this packaging.
- the operator can separate the cover from the tray, which allows access to articles that remain supported by the tray.
- the tray is positioned on a shelf with its edge not with no transverse side facing the consumers. If at on the contrary, the transverse side of the tray comprises, on its outer face, an identification sign of the articles packed in the packaging, the tray can be positioned with the items it supports, with its side transverse turned to the consumer side.
- This transverse side constitutes then a sales aid.
- the merchant does not want to keep the tray, after removing the cap, he puts the tray on the shelf with the transverse side of the tray facing towards it, then, retaining the articles with one hand, he removes the tray by sliding at with the other hand, ensuring in one movement the transfer of all articles packaged in the packaging of the tray on the shelf considered.
- the height of the cap corresponds to the height of packaging
- the cap is fitted outside the tray
- the wall transverse of the cap located on the side of the tray comprising the transverse side comprises a part bottom hollowed out to the shape of the side of the tray, so that this transverse wall of the cap and the transverse side of the tray are located in the same plane, the cap being fixed by points, for example by bonding, on the tray, at the longitudinal edges of the tray.
- the cap can be made in different ways.
- the cap includes a bottom substantially the same surface as that of the tray extended by two panels of height and length corresponding to those of the cover, each panel being provided with two returns intended to each form a part of one of the transverse walls of the cap, the bottom comprising along its two transverse edges two bonding tabs on the aforementioned returns, intended to ensure the holding of the cap in the mounted position.
- the cap is constituted by a American half-body, comprising four panels forming a belt, delimiting the four walls of the cap, each panel being provided with a extension, the four extensions assembled to each other forming the bottom of the cap.
- the cap comprises on its upper face and along its vertical edges, on the side of the tray with no transverse side, a precut allowing tear off part of the upper face and the end wall matching the cap.
- the cap is constituted by an American half-body in two parts arranged end to end end, severably connected to each other, at least the part of the cap located on the open side of the tray being fixed by points, for example by bonding, on the longitudinal sides of the tray.
- points for example by bonding
- Figures 2, 7, 9 and 10 show shapes execution of a packaging with a cap disposed inside the tray, it should be understood that within the strict framework of the present invention, the cap is normally placed outside the tray, like this is illustrated in figure 8.
- the packaging shown in Figures 1 to 7 is intended for packaging of a batch of articles 2 of parallelepiped shape.
- This packaging made entirely of corrugated cardboard, includes a tray 3 and a cap 4.
- the tray 3 comprises a bottom 5 of rectangular shape, delimited along its two longitudinal edges by two sides 6 and along one of its transverse edges by one side 7.
- the cap 4 comprises a bottom 8 substantially the same surface as that of the bottom of the tray, extended by two panels 9 of height and length corresponding to those of the cap, each panel being provided with two returns 10, 12 intended to form each part of one of the transverse walls of the cap, including in the tray area with no transverse side.
- the bottom 8 comprises, along its two transverse edges, two bonding tabs 11 on the returns 10, 12, intended to ensure the holding of the cap in position climb.
- the cap has, on its upper face, and along its vertical edges, on the side of the tray 3 not comprising transverse side, a precut 13.
- the cap is secured to the tray 3 by at least two dots of glue 14 arranged between the longitudinal sides of the tray and the panels longitudinal 9 of the cap, near the edge of the tray not comprising no transverse side.
- the operator can proceed to removal of the cap 4, by breaking the glue dots 14, as shown in the figure 3.
- the side transverse 7 of the tray includes distinctive signs 15 of the articles to to sell, affixed on its external face.
- the articles may be presented for sale inside the tray, the transverse side 7 of the tray facing the consumer to allow them to see the household product identification signs on the outside of the side transverse.
- the operator can do not keep the tray for the presentation of articles at the place of sale. After placing the tray on a spoke 16, the transverse side of the the tray being turned to the front side of department 16, the operator can, by retaining the batch of articles with one hand, remove the tray by sliding using the other hand, thereby transferring the entire batch in a single gesture items from the tray on the shelf.
- the operator may not detach the cap from the tray, and remove the surface included the inside of the precut 13, thus freeing the end of the packaging located on the open side of the tray, as well as part of the upper side of this packaging, as shown in Figure 7.
- the consumer can then take the products while they are still packaged.
- the same function could be achieved by opening this end of the package by separation of the flaps or partial fragmentation thereof.
- Figure 8 shows a variant of the packaging of Figures 1 to 7, in which the same elements are designated by the same references than before.
- the cap 4 covers the tray 3.
- the returns 10, 12 forming the transverse wall of the cap, located at the end of the tray comprising a transverse side 7, are cut to provide a recess in the shape on the side 7 of the tray, so that the returns 10, 12 of the cap are lie in alignment and substantially in the same plane as the side transverse 7 of the tray.
- the cap 4 is constituted by an American half-body in two parts 20 and 22 arranged end to end, connected to each other so breakable, the part 22 of the cap located on the open side of the tray being fixed by glue dots 14 on the longitudinal sides 6 of the tray.
- FIG. 10 represents a package comprising a tray 3 of the type described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7, and a cover 4 consisting of an American half-body in a single element comprising four panels 24, 25 forming a belt and delimiting the four walls of the cover, the panels 24, 25 being extended respectively by panels 26, 27, which are joined together to form the bottom of the box.
- the invention provides great improvement to existing technique by providing structural packaging simple and economical, insofar as the quantity of cardboard is limited, in particular with regard to the production of the tray, of use very practical for the operator, and capable of a plurality of implementations different.
