Auf dieses Außengewinde kann die Überwurfmutter 28 des in den Figuren 1 und 2 gezeigten Steckverbinders aufgeschraubt werden, um die beiden Steckverbinder fest miteinander zu verbinden. Auf der Innenwandung der Hülse 62 ist ein Wulst 66 vorgesehen, der im Querschnitt annähernd halbkreisförmig ist. Claims (8)

  1. A plug connector comprising an insulation displacement contact carrier (10) which accommodates insulation displacement contacts (18), the insulation displacement contact carrier being provided with a thread (15) for a coupling ring (42), characterized by a plug contact carrier (24) which accommodates plug contacts (20; 60), and a housing (34) which connects the insulation displacement contact carrier (10) with the plug contact carrier (24), the plug contact carrier being provided with a connecting section (27, 28, 30; 64) for a complementary plug connector.
  2. The plug connector according to claim 1, characterized in that the insulation displacement contacts (18) are snapped into place in the insulation displacement contact carrier (10).
  3. The plug connector according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the plug contacts (60) are snapped into place in the plug contact carrier (24).
  4. The plug connector according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the insulation displacement contact carrier (10) is provided with polarization pins (19) which engage in corresponding bores at the plug contact carrier (24) and ensure its correct polarization relative to the insulation displacement contact carrier.
  5. The plug connector according to claim 4, characterized in that means (32, 66) for ensuring a correct polarization are provided in both the area of the connecting section and the area of the plug contacts.
  6. The plug connector according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the plug contacts are designed as socket contacts (20) and the connecting section of the housing is provided with a coupling ring (28).
  7. The plug connector according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the plug contacts are designed as pin contacts (60) and the connecting section (64) of the housing is provided with a thread (65) for a coupling ring.
  8. The plug connector according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the housing (34) connects the insulation displacement contact carrier and the plug contact carrier with each other so as to be non-detachable.
