Definitions
- the invention relates to a calender for the two-sided treatment of a web, in particular a paper web, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a calender as is known from EP 0 732 446 B1, is used for final treatment of a paper web so that it has a desired value of smoothness, gloss, thickness, bulk and the like.
- the use of hard and soft rollers allow the formation of soft nips that a cause much more uniform compression than two hard rollers formed hard nips.
- the short downtimes of the soft ones are disadvantageous Rolls due to rapid wear, reducing the maintenance effort and the associated downtimes of the known calenders are high.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a calender according to the preamble of Claim 1 to create, which provides very good smoothing results and cheaper in the purchase and in operation.
- Vibrations of the roller system and the roller frame resulting from the Interplay of physical and technological properties of the web and the roll stack result from the different diameter selection the rolls and the roll type avoided in the roll stack.
- the Difference in diameter of the rolls in the stack is determined by a targeted and optimized choice of roller arrangement achieved. Vibration-free operation of the Calenders increases the calendering speed and thereby the Productivity possible.
- the decoupling of the roll stacks for processing can each be one Web side used in full to set the smoothing parameters become.
- the roller diameters of the intermediate rollers are preferably smaller than that Roll diameter of the outer rolls, since the resulting smaller one Working gap leads to higher compressive stresses in the nip. This can be allowed here because all the surface quality and unfavorable stress the elastic roller covers of the intermediate rollers eliminates damaging forces be, and then also the application of the regulation of the drives of the rollers in nippower management sustainably supports the positive result.
- the small number of rollers and the arrangement of the rollers in the roller stack can continue to be used to optimize the web guidance, since at Using two separate roll stacks, these can be adjusted in height can be arranged side by side that the path length of the web in an alternating gap is shortened compared to known two-stack designs, thereby avoiding undesirable changes in the web.
- calender 1 for the two-sided treatment of a web, especially a paper or textile web, the roller arrangement of two roller stacks 2, 3 from four rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 each, the are arranged one above the other.
- the roll stack 2 comprises an upper outer roll 4, which acts as a hard roll is trained.
- This hard roller 4 forms a soft nip with a soft one Intermediate roller 5, the soft intermediate roller 5 having a second soft nip with a hard intermediate roller 6 forms.
- the hard intermediate roller 6 also forms one second soft nip, with a lower outer roller 7 acting as a soft roller is trained.
- the two intermediate rollers 5, 6 thus experience a double rollover.
- the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 which form the roll stack 2 all have each other different roller diameters.
- the roll diameters of the intermediate rolls 5, 6 are preferably smaller than the roll diameter of the outer rolls 4, 7, wherein the roller diameter of the hard intermediate roller 6 is preferably smaller is the roll diameter of the soft intermediate roll 5.
- the roller diameter of the outer rollers 4, 7 can be chosen such that either the upper or the lower outer roller has a larger roller diameter exhibit. 1, the roll diameter is the soft Outer roller 7 larger than the roller diameter of the hard outer roller 4. Die Differences in the roll diameters can be selected, preferably the Difference between the roll diameters of the outer rolls 4, 7 and Intermediate rollers 5, 6 is greater than the difference between the outer rollers 4, 7 or the intermediate rollers 5, 6.
- Working gaps are formed between the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 of the roll stack 2, which are designed as soft nips, since they are each between a hard roller 4, 6 and a soft roller 5, 7 are formed.
- the working column runs through a web 12 in a pass direction D.
- the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 of the roll stack 2 are at least from one end resilient.
- a hydraulic cylinder 13 is provided to close the roll stack 2, which can also be used to load the roll stack 2.
- the Roll stack 2 is used to smooth a first side of the web 12, the Side is smoothed, which contacts the respective hard roller 4, 7.
- a second roll stack 3 is used to smooth a second side of the web 12 provided the same rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 of the first stack 2 in reverse Order in relation to the direction of travel of the web, i.e. the upper outer roll 4 is in the second roll stack 3 as the lower outer roll 11 arranged, while the lower outer roller 7 of the first stack 2 as the upper Outer roller 8 of the second roller stack 3 is arranged.
- the intermediate rolls 9, 10 of the second roll stack 3 are identical to the intermediate rolls 5, 6 of the first roll stack 2 and have only swapped their positions.
- the web 12 passes through the second Roll stack 3 from top to bottom.
- the led in the second roll stack 3 Material web is there in the first working gap between the rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 each smoothed on its second side, since this contacts the hard rollers 9, 11.
- the rolls 8, 9, 10, 11 of be charged at least one end.
- a further hydraulic cylinder 14 is provided, which is also for loading the second roll stack 3 can be used.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 are such vertically offset next to each other that the bottom nip of the first Roll stack 2 to the uppermost nip of the second roll stack 3 essentially is adjacent to a straight, short transfer of the web 12 from the first roll stack 2 into the second roll stack 3.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 are next to one another with such a height offset arranged that only the top nip of the second roll stack 3 is higher than that lowest nip of the first roll stack 2. This ensures that under Maintaining a sufficient tension of the web as straight as possible and therefore also the shortest guidance of the material web in the alternating gap between the first roll stack 2 and the second roll stack 3 is reached.
- the upper roller 4, 8 and / or the lower roller 7, 11 are preferably as bend-controllable rollers. All hard rollers and if necessary soft rollers can be heated or heated.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 can be interchanged.
- the second Roll stack 3 according to the described embodiment then forms one first roll stack, in which the upper outer roll is a soft roll, so that First the second side, which contacts the hard intermediate roller, is smoothed out for example, is formed by the underside of a paper web.
- the first Roll stack 2, forms a second roll stack, in which the upper one Outer roller 4 is a hard roller, so the first side is the hard one Intermediate roller is contacted, smoothed, for example, from the top of a Paper web is formed.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 one above the other in one common stack with separate line load characteristics can be arranged.
- rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 or the rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 of the two Roll stack 2, 3 not only vertically one above the other, but also inclined be arranged one above the other.
