Claims (7)

  1. Covering device for a lock cylinder (10), in particular on a vehicle door (16), having a housing (50) in which the lock cylinder (10) is mounted,
    having a captively arranged, cap-like covering element (60) which is movable between an open position and a covering position and which in the covering position covers the lock cylinder (10) from outside and in the open position frees a key opening (11) of the lock cylinder (10),
    the movement of the covering element (60) from one position into the other position taking place on a path defined by guide means,
    characterised in that
    the guide means comprise a pivoted lever (70) which is movably mounted both on the covering element (70) and on the housing (50) and via which the covering element (60) is indirectly connected to the housing (50),
    the covering element (60) by pivoting from the covering position about the housing-side pivot pin (74) into the open position having travelled a distance which exceeds the actual dimensions of the covering element (60).
  2. Covering element according to Claim 1, usable for a lock cylinder (10) which is mounted in a housing (50), the housing head (52) lying in a recess (17) of a door wing (16).
  3. Covering device according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the pivoted lever (70) is mounted in each case close to the end regions, facing each other in the open position, of the housing (50) and of the covering element (60).
  4. Covering device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that one or more pivot bearings for the movable mounting of the pivoted lever are provided in the inside of the covering element (60).
  5. Covering device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the length of the pivoted lever (70) is dimensioned shorter than the distance between the pivot bearing(s) in the inside of the covering element (60) and that end of the covering element (60) which is remote from the housing in the open position.
  6. Covering device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the pivoted lever (70) is completely concealed by the covering element (60) in the covering position.
  7. Covering device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that there is provided on the covering element (60) a latching device (63) which can engage with a corresponding latching device (53) of the housing (50) in the covering position.
