Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Thermotransferfolie bzw. ein Thermotransferband, umfassend eine Substratschicht und darauf aufgetragen eine Donorschicht, wobei die Substratschicht aus mindestens einer Polymermasse besteht, die mindestens die nachstehenden Eigenschaften aufweist: mechanische Stabilität bei einer Temperatur >150°C; Transmission > 70 % für Licht der Wellenlänge von 700 bis 1600 nm; die Donorschicht mindestens folgende Komponenten umfaßt: einen Stoff, der die Strahlungsenergie von auftreffendem Laserlicht in Wärmeenergie umwandeln kann, ein Polymer, das saure Gruppen und/oder deren gegebenenfalls substituierte Amidgruppen umfaßt und gegebenenfalls eine Benetzungshilfe.
