Definitions
- the present invention relates to a transparent or translucent paper product which is made by gluing two sheets of paper or a folded sheet of paper.
- Opaque paper shells are already known which are made by folding a sheet to form a front face, a dorsal surface, the dorsal surface having two side flaps, a lower flap and a longitudinal upper flap.
- the two side flaps are secured to the lower flap by means of a glue or an adhesive.
- the method of depositing such a glue or adhesive is to take the glue or adhesive which is placed in a container by means of a metal blade which is secured to a cylinder.
- the rotating cylinder allows the metal blade flush with the surface of the glue in the container to cause some of the glue or adhesive and then this glue or adhesive is deposited on the flaps of an envelope.
- This glue deposit has irregular contours due to the deposition process using a blade and a cylinder. As the paper is opaque, the glue deposit is masked by the opacity of the paper.
- the present invention aims to provide a transparent or translucent envelope, preferably made of paper, by folding a sheet to form two side flaps and a longitudinal flap and depositing a glue or an adhesive, the deposit of adhesive or glue being such that it gives an aesthetic appearance to the envelope.
- a first problem that arises to make a transparent or translucent paper envelope is that when we put glue on a flap and that we secure the two sides of paper, the glue well that being translucent is visible because of the transparency of the paper. Therefore, if the glue deposit is made in an uncontrolled manner, the contours of the deposit are fuzzy and impart an unsightly appearance to the envelope.
- a second problem that arises is that in the case where a translucent or transparent paper is used which is of the kind of a tracing paper, if the glue deposit has a width of the order of one centimeter, the water contained in the glue tends to curl the paper.
- a tracing paper is a paper which is obtained by significantly refining the cellulose fibers of a paper pulp to form fibrils and thereby impart transparency to the paper. This important refinement of the fibers makes the tracing paper thus obtained very sensitive to water.
- the invention therefore aims to solve these problems.
- An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a product comprising at least two transparent or translucent faces, preferably paper, glued by means of a glue or an adhesive and having a certain aesthetic appearance.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide such a product comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive deposit that does not undergo deformation during the deposition of such a glue or adhesive.
- the invention relates to a product comprising at least two transparent or translucent faces secured to one another by means of an adhesive or adhesive deposit having a specific shape, characterized in that the deposition of adhesive or glue is visible by transparency and reflection.
- the product comprises a front face, a back face having several flaps secured by means of a glue deposit having a specific shape and visible by transparency and reflection.
- EP-A-0 256 731 discloses a product having at least two transparent faces secured to one another by means of an adhesive deposit having a certain shape.
- this document neither describes nor suggests that the adhesive deposit is visible in one way or another to impart an aesthetic appearance to the product.
- the product is such that the glue deposit consists of three substantially equidistant parallel lines.
- the glue deposit is in a direction parallel to the lateral edges of the upper face.
- the product according to the invention comprises an upper flap provided with a deposit of adhesive, this adhesive or adhesive being sensitive to pressure and the deposit consisting of a plurality of points of substantially rectangular or square shape and being aligned. and being separated from each other.
- the deposition of glue or adhesive on the flaps of the product is preferably made of a plurality of narrow strips separated from each other.
- the invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a product.
- This method consists of cutting a transparent or translucent sheet, preferably paper, to deposit an adhesive or glue having a shape determined by a printing process preferably, the printing is carried out by a roller which soaks in a tray of glue or adhesive, which roll then comes into contact with a roller having cavities and in turn depositing the glue or adhesive on a next cylinder whose glue or adhesive deposit is thus set. This last cylinder prints the paper.
- the glues or adhesives are transparent and when seen through the sheets, that is to say when seen by transparency, the glues or adhesives are clear while when seen by reflection, these glues or adhesives are dark. This optical effect is due to the transparency of the paper.
- the glues or adhesives may be colored with a dye, a pigment or have pearlescent pigments, iridescent pigments and the like.
- the transparent or translucent faces consist of a sheet or sheets of paper obtained by transparentization of an opaque paper sheet or obtained by refined refining of a paper pulp.
- the invention relates to a product 1 according to the invention and more particularly an envelope.
- This product comprises at least one dorsal surface 2 and a front face 3.
- the faces 2 and 3 are obtained by folding along a line 4.

- the dorsal 2 and front 3 faces may preferably be made of a transparent or translucent paper. They can also be made of a transparent or translucent material which is for example a transparent or translucent polymer or a transparent / translucent polymer / paper composite material.
- the sheets consist of a transparent or translucent paper, this paper may have been obtained by transparentization of an opaque paper with the aid of a transparency composition.
- the sheets may also be made of transparent or translucent paper, of the tracing type manufactured and sold commonly in Europe. This paper is obtained by refining pulp so as to obtain a large number of fibrils which confer transparency to the paper. Transparent or translucent paper may be colored or may be white.
- the dorsal sheet 2 and the front sheet 3 are The glue deposit has a predetermined shape according to the invention, and the term "predetermined shape" is understood to mean a form which is established in advance prior to the deposit of the adhesive. glue or adhesive. This shape is variable and may for example be a line, a circle, an arabesque, etc.
- the glue or the adhesive are transparent in themselves. However, when the glue or the adhesive is deposited either on the dorsal face 2 or on the front face 3, when the faces are secured, after drying of the glue or adhesive, the glue or adhesive deposit is visible when looking at the produced by transparency, the glue or adhesive deposit is then clearer with respect to the clarity of the two dorsal and front faces 3. Thus, the fact of depositing a glue or an adhesive on one side makes the paper transparent with respect to its initial transparency.
- the product of the present invention may for example be a pouch consisting of a front face 3 and a back face 2 having two flaps 4 and 5 which are secured to the lower flap by an adhesive deposit.
- a pouch can be used for the packaging of compact discs and in this case, the pouch will be substantially square once secured.
- the product of the present invention is an envelope as shown on the Figure 1 .
- This envelope comprises a dorsal surface 2, a front face 3, side flaps 4 and 5 and an upper flap 6.
- the lower flap is secured to the flaps 4 and 5 by means of glue and / or adhesive deposition.
- the glue deposit is constituted on each side of the lower flap, an assembly 7 and 8 of three lines 9, 10, 11 and 12, 13 and 14 respectively. These lines are arranged for example parallel to the side edge 15 of the envelope formed by the fold between the flap 4 and the lower face 3 as shown for the set of lines 7.
- the lines are arranged parallel to the lateral edge 16 of the lower flap, this side edge 16 of the lower flap being slightly inclined at an angle ⁇ relative to the side edge 15 'of the envelope .
- the lines 9, 10, 11 and 12, 13, 14 have a length substantially equal to the height of the upper face 2.
- the lines 9, 10, 11 are equidistant and the lines 12, 13, 14 respectively.
- the lines are about 1 mm thick and about 1.5 mm apart.
- the envelope comprises on its flap 6 a glue or a pressure-sensitive adhesive.
- This adhesive deposit consists of a plurality of points 17 of substantially rectangular or square shape, in alignment parallel to the fold line 18 between the flap 6 and the front face 3.
- the points 17 are aligned and are equidistant preferably one another.
- These points may be a plurality of narrow strips separated from one another and parallel as shown in FIG. Figure 1 .
- the dots 17 form a discontinuous strip when the dots of glue or adhesive 17 are deposited, there is no deformation of the transparent or translucent paper. Indeed, the deposits are punctual and therefore the paper on which the dots of glue or adhesive in solution in a solvent such as water and / or an alcohol is deposited only punctually with the action of the solvent water and / or alcohol.
- the invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a transparent and / or translucent product formed of at least two faces of a paper which are secured with an adhesive or glue, depositing the adhesive or glue having a shape determined by a printing process.
- a printing process is much more accurate than a deposit with a blade as realized in the prior art.
- the deposited glue forms can be precise and sharp.
- the manufacturing process is such that the glue or adhesive is deposited using a roller 19 which is dipped in a bath of adhesive or adhesive in solution as shown in FIG. figure 2 . This roller 19 then comes into contact with a roller 21 which has cavities in which the glue 20 is housed. Then, the roller 21 deposits the adhesive or the adhesive on a cylinder 22 whose adhesive deposit is thus adjusted. This last cylinder 21 in turn prints the transparent or translucent paper 23 which is unwound from a feed roll 24.
- the adhesives or adhesives used according to the present invention can be colored with a pigment, but preferably should remain transparent so as to obtain the optical effect mentioned above.
- the glues or adhesives used may be colored and not transparent. In this case, when we see the glue deposit in transparency, it will be darker than the entire upper sheet 2 and lower 3 and a different color.
- Adhesives or adhesives according to the present invention may further comprise pearlescent pigments, iridescent pigments, iridescent pigments and the like.
- a screen-printing method an off-set method, can be used, provided that the glue or adhesive deposit is precise and makes it possible to obtain defined shapes. This gives various optical effects thanks to the transparency of the paper, its color, the transparency or not of the glue, the coloring or not of the glue.

Description
The present invention relates to a transparent or translucent paper product which is made by gluing two sheets of paper or a folded sheet of paper.
Opaque paper shells are already known which are made by folding a sheet to form a front face, a dorsal surface, the dorsal surface having two side flaps, a lower flap and a longitudinal upper flap. The two side flaps are secured to the lower flap by means of a glue or an adhesive. The method of depositing such a glue or adhesive is to take the glue or adhesive which is placed in a container by means of a metal blade which is secured to a cylinder. The rotating cylinder allows the metal blade flush with the surface of the glue in the container to cause some of the glue or adhesive and then this glue or adhesive is deposited on the flaps of an envelope. This produces a deposit of glue along the flap of the envelope, this glue deposit having a length less than the height of the flap and a width of a few millimeters. This glue deposit has irregular contours due to the deposition process using a blade and a cylinder. As the paper is opaque, the glue deposit is masked by the opacity of the paper.
The present invention aims to provide a transparent or translucent envelope, preferably made of paper, by folding a sheet to form two side flaps and a longitudinal flap and depositing a glue or an adhesive, the deposit of adhesive or glue being such that it gives an aesthetic appearance to the envelope.
A first problem that arises to make a transparent or translucent paper envelope is that when we put glue on a flap and that we secure the two sides of paper, the glue well that being translucent is visible because of the transparency of the paper. Therefore, if the glue deposit is made in an uncontrolled manner, the contours of the deposit are fuzzy and impart an unsightly appearance to the envelope.
A second problem that arises is that in the case where a translucent or transparent paper is used which is of the kind of a tracing paper, if the glue deposit has a width of the order of one centimeter, the water contained in the glue tends to curl the paper. Indeed, a tracing paper is a paper which is obtained by significantly refining the cellulose fibers of a paper pulp to form fibrils and thereby impart transparency to the paper. This important refinement of the fibers makes the tracing paper thus obtained very sensitive to water.
L'invention vise donc à résoudre ces problèmes. The invention therefore aims to solve these problems.
An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a product comprising at least two transparent or translucent faces, preferably paper, glued by means of a glue or an adhesive and having a certain aesthetic appearance.
Another object of the present invention is to provide such a product comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive deposit that does not undergo deformation during the deposition of such a glue or adhesive.
Thus, the invention relates to a product comprising at least two transparent or translucent faces secured to one another by means of an adhesive or adhesive deposit having a specific shape, characterized in that the deposition of adhesive or glue is visible by transparency and reflection.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the product comprises a front face, a back face having several flaps secured by means of a glue deposit having a specific shape and visible by transparency and reflection.
Preferably, the product is such that the glue deposit consists of three substantially equidistant parallel lines.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the glue deposit is in a direction parallel to the lateral edges of the upper face.
Preferably, the product according to the invention comprises an upper flap provided with a deposit of adhesive, this adhesive or adhesive being sensitive to pressure and the deposit consisting of a plurality of points of substantially rectangular or square shape and being aligned. and being separated from each other.
The deposition of glue or adhesive on the flaps of the product is preferably made of a plurality of narrow strips separated from each other.
The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a product. This method consists of cutting a transparent or translucent sheet, preferably paper, to deposit an adhesive or glue having a shape determined by a printing process preferably, the printing is carried out by a roller which soaks in a tray of glue or adhesive, which roll then comes into contact with a roller having cavities and in turn depositing the glue or adhesive on a next cylinder whose glue or adhesive deposit is thus set. This last cylinder prints the paper.
According to the invention, the glues or adhesives are transparent and when seen through the sheets, that is to say when seen by transparency, the glues or adhesives are clear while when seen by reflection, these glues or adhesives are dark. This optical effect is due to the transparency of the paper.
The glues or adhesives may be colored with a dye, a pigment or have pearlescent pigments, iridescent pigments and the like.
The transparent or translucent faces consist of a sheet or sheets of paper obtained by transparentization of an opaque paper sheet or obtained by refined refining of a paper pulp.

The invention relates to a
When looking at the faces in reflection, namely when the
The product of the present invention may for example be a pouch consisting of a
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the lines are arranged parallel to the
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the envelope comprises on its flap 6 a glue or a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This adhesive deposit consists of a plurality of
Since the
The adhesives or adhesives used according to the present invention can be colored with a pigment, but preferably should remain transparent so as to obtain the optical effect mentioned above. The glues or adhesives used may be colored and not transparent. In this case, when we see the glue deposit in transparency, it will be darker than the entire
Adhesives or adhesives according to the present invention may further comprise pearlescent pigments, iridescent pigments, iridescent pigments and the like.
One may optionally use another printing method than that described above to perform the deposition of glue. For example, a screen-printing method, an off-set method, can be used, provided that the glue or adhesive deposit is precise and makes it possible to obtain defined shapes. This gives various optical effects thanks to the transparency of the paper, its color, the transparency or not of the glue, the coloring or not of the glue.
