Description

The technical field of the present invention is that guidance systems for a receding mass of a artillery in relation to its cradle.

We know that artillery is animated by a movement of recoil and return to battery on each shot of ammunition by relative to the cradle on which they are mounted. This montage is found in an artillery mounted in a turret or in a field artillery. The receding mass is generally made up of the barrel extended by the sleeve of cylinder head. This mass is slidably mounted relative to the cradle and it is braked for example by brakes Hydraulic. In this case, the cradle is equipped with two slides and the receding mass is secured to a sled fitted with runners which slide in relation to the slides. We know systems in which the connection sled / slide is made using an integral shoe of the slide by a pin and sliding in a groove of the sled. In this configuration, the lateral clearance between the sled and the two slides is not under control and more increases with wear.

Patent CH-26013 (basis for the preamble of claim 1) describes a weapon system comprising a tube mounted sliding on a slide incorporating a brake step back. The slide has a rectangular profile which receives a tab of complementary shape integral with the tube. In this embodiment, it is the tube which slides by compared to the skate it overcomes and it is not possible to provide a clearance adjustment.

This guide includes four grooves in the trunnion and receiving tabs integral with the tube. The tube is therefore inserted into the trunnion, which precludes any possibility of adjusting the clearance between this tube and its journal. In addition, the concept of cradle is totally excluded in this type of assembly.

The purpose of the present invention is to overcome this disadvantage by proposing a new guidance system for a receding mass with respect to slides allowing remove and make up for the lateral play between the slide and the sled.

The subject of the invention is therefore a system for guiding the receding mass of an artillery in relation to its cradle, the receding mass being equipped with a sliding sled by compared to skates, the sled being provided with a rail incorporating a groove in which the shoe is placed sliding way, the groove having a profile preventing lateral extraction of the skid out of it, characterized in that the pads are attached to two side rails, each shoe itself being integral with a support fixed to each slide, the pad support being fixed by screwing to the slide by means of a nut screwed on the support, the clearance (d) separating the shoe from the slide being adjustable.

According to a first characteristic, the skate has two pairs of spans each delimiting a V opposite and the groove has a shape complementary to the profile of the skate with two pairs of complementary scopes each delimiting a V opposite.

Advantageously, the nut is maintained by a washer stop, allowing adjustment by screwing the clearance (d) between the skate and the slide.

Preferably, the skate is made of bronze, is of substantially parallelepiped shape and includes a rear chamfer intended to facilitate the installation of the receding mass on the slides.

According to another characteristic, the skate has a substantially rectangular orifice and a counterbore also of rectangular shape, hole and counterbore having the same width and the midpoints of their lengths combined.

According to yet another characteristic, the support has a cylindrical axis provided with a thread intended for receive the nut and a notch intended to allow the washer stops rotating.

Advantageously, the support has two spans cylindrical tangentially truncated by two flats and intended to cooperate by adjusting respectively to the inside of the counterbore and the orifice.

According to another characteristic, the slide comprises a bore intended to receive the cylindrical axis of the support and a longitudinal groove arranged opposite the flats of the cylindrical range of the support and providing a clearance between flats and slide.

Advantageously, the support can oscillate around the axis relative to the slide, the adjustment between the bore of the slide and the axis of the skate support being sliding.

A very first advantage of the invention lies in the causes the lateral positioning of the sled relative to with the slides is completely under control. This results in a fidelity of the mass reentry positioning recoiling with each shot.

Another advantage is that the system allows the play introduced by wear to be taken up.

Another advantage is the absence of deformation by spacing of the slides.

Another advantage is that the wear of the skates is uniform.

Another advantage is that the system allows the deformation of the sled when fired.

Other characteristics, details and advantages of the invention will emerge more clearly on reading the additional description which follows of embodiments in relation to the drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a section showing the slide / sled link in a known embodiment,
  • FIG. 2 is a side view of the sled according to the invention,

  • FIG. 8 is a view of a skate support in the direction E of FIG. 7.

As previously indicated, the receding mass of a artillery is moved back and forth by relative to the cradle and in Figure 1 there is shown a classic realization where we partially represented a sled 1 intended to receive the barrel of the weapon (not represented). The sled is provided with a groove 2 which receives a shoe 4 made integral with the slide 3 by a pin 5. In this configuration, it is not possible to adjust the value of clearance J between shoe 4 and groove 2. Wear inevitable skating will cause a modification of this game which cannot be caught. This will result in imprecision of the positioning of the receding mass relative to the cradle.

Chaque rail 17 est muni d'une rainure 19.In Figure 3, there is shown for the purpose of understanding of the invention a view of a sleigh 15, according to the invention, surrounding the barrel of the weapon M (not shown) and provided with passages P1-P4 intended to receive the brakes hydraulic of the recoiling mass. In known manner, the mass recoil comprises a sled provided according to the invention with two symmetrical notches 16 in which a rail 17 is fixed by means of screws 18. Each rail 17 is provided with a groove 19.

Le tube de l'arme n'est pas représenté.2 shows a side view of the mounting of the sled 15. The sled consists of a front part 15a and a rear part 15b connected by the rails 17. The tube of the weapon is not shown.

In Figure 3, we see that the groove 19 has a guide profile with two V. This groove constitutes a cage in which the inserted shoe is trapped and its extraction prohibited. In radial section, the groove 19 shows in the figure two pairs of staves (20a, 21a) and (20b, 21b) each delimiting a V opposite. Well of course we could adopt in the implementation of the system according to the invention any equivalent form provided that the latter allows imprisonment of the skate.

Figure 4 shows a partial cross section mounting the sled relative to its slide 10. Each slide supports a pad 22 fixed to the latter by a support 23 fixed to the massive part 14 of the slide by by means of a nut 24 screwed onto the support 23 and held by a locking washer 25. Each shoe 22 is preferably made of bronze.

Le patin 22 présente également un chanfrein arrière 33 destiné à faciliter la mise en place de la masse reculante sur les glissières 10.Figures 5 and 6 show the shoe 22, the shape is substantially parallelepiped, having two pairs of staves (26a, 27a) and (26b, 27b) each delimiting a V opposite. The ranges 26 and 27 are advantageously of complementary shape to the spans 20 and 21 of the groove 19 of each rail 17. Thus, when the shoe 22 is introduced in groove 19, it is trapped in it and its lateral extraction is impossible. The skate has a orifice 31 substantially rectangular and a counterbore 32 also of rectangular shape, orifice and counterbore having same width and the middle of their lengths combined. The pad 22 also has a rear chamfer 33 intended for facilitate the installation of the receding mass on the slides 10.

It has a cylindrical axis 28 provided with a thread 29 intended to receive the nut 24 and a notch 30 intended to allow the washer 25 to stop rotating. The support 23 has two cylindrical spans 33 and 34 truncated tangentially by two flats 35 and 36. These two spans truncated 33 and 34 are intended to cooperate by adjusting respectively inside the counterbore 32 and the orifice 31, as shown in figure 4. To do this, the width m between the two flats is substantially equal to the width common 1 of orifice 31 and counterbore 32 and the diameter of the range 33 is substantially equal to the length L2 of the counterbore 32 and the diameter of the bearing surface 34 is substantially equal to the length L1 of orifice 31.

Referring to Figure 4, we see that when the skate 22 is fixed to the support 23, tightening the nut 24 causes bringing the sled 15 closer to the slide 10. It there is still a game (d) between skate and slide which will advantageously identical for the two slides.

In the figure, a shoe 22 has been shown matching the shape of the groove 19, i.e. an inverted V shape in section applying to spans 20 and 21 opposite of the rail 17 of the sled, complementary shape to the profile of the groove 19. The sliding of the shoe 22 in the groove 19 of the rail 17 is then made without lateral play of the sled by compared to the slide, which leads to a fidelity of reentry positioning in battery.

It is understood that the structure according to the invention does not allow not a spacing of the slides.

Le jeu pourra permettre de compenser l'usure du patin au fur et à mesure de son frottement dans la rainure 19, par un nouveau serrage de l'écrou 24.The game can compensate for the wear of the skate at as it rubs in groove 19, by a re-tightening the nut 24.

The wear of the pads 22 as they are friction in grooves 19 can be easily caught up by simply tightening the nut 24, and this symmetrically with respect to the slides and / or the sled. The clearance (d) between pads and slides allows to compensate this wear.

In Figure 4, we see that the slide 10 has a bore 37 intended to receive the cylindrical axis 28 of the support 23 of skate and also a longitudinal groove 38 arranged opposite the flats 35, 36 of the span cylindrical 34 of the support 23 and providing a clearance between flats and slide. The adjustment between bore 37 of the slide and the axis 28 of the skate support being sliding, during recoil and return to battery of the recoiling mass during a shot, the shoe 22 and the support 23 can oscillate around the axis 28 relative to the slide 10. This allows compensate for the deformation of the sled caused by the deflection torque when firing and also to facilitate the integration of the receding mass on the slides. This oscillation of the pads also guarantees wear substantially uniform thereof over their entire length. The grooves 19 of the sled slide when retreating on the pads giving them an optimal angular positioning of the shoe in relation to the slide. We compensate deformation of the sled by distributing each time wear along the entire length of the pads. This results in a longer service life for the guidance system.

The deformation of the sled is limited by the groove longitudinal 38 whose sides serve as stops for flats 35, 36 of the span 34 of the support 23 by limiting the angle of rotation of the skate support relative to the slide 10.
