Zunächst wird der unbefüllte Sack mit der noch nicht ausgekühlten Bodennaht in die Füllstation eingehängt, wobei die Greifer der Füllstation den Sack an seinem offenen Ende ergreifen. Das verschlossene Ende des liegt dabei auf dem unterhalb der Füllstation angeordneten Obertrum des Förderbandes, wobei der Abstand von der Füllstation bis zu dem Obertrum des Förderbandes geringer ist als die Länge des unbefüllten Sackes. Nachdem diese dämpfende Vorfüllung erreicht ist, ergibt sich nun aber das Problem, eine gute Bodenausbildung des Sackes zu erreichen. Hierzu wird nun die an diesem Ende des Förderbandes angeordnete Umlenkrolle abgesenkt. Das Hin- und Herschwenken des abschwenkbaren Endes des Förderbandes 30 kann periodisch wiederholt werden, um das Schüttgut im Sack 24 zu verdichten. Zur intensiveren Verdichtung des Schüttgutes ist zusätzlich ein von seiner Bauweise her als solches bekannter Rüttler 54 unterhalb des Obertrums 28 des Förderbandes 30 angeordnet, über den höherfrequente Rüttelbewegungen auf den Sackboden ausgeübt werden können, wie dies anhand der Fig. 4 verdeutlicht ist. Nach Befüllen des Sacks 24 wird dieser von einem anderen Transportgreiferpaar in bekannter Weise erfaßt und zu einer Schweißstation zum Verschließen der offenen Seite transportiert. Claims (6)

  1. Apparatus (10) for filling and closing bags (24) which are open on one side and are preferably provided with side folds,
    - having a filling station (22) which has a filling nozzle and is intended for filling the bags (24), having various grippers (18, 20, 50) for transporting the empty bags (24) up, retaining the bags (24) in the filling station (22) and transporting the filled bags (24) away, and
    - having a conveying belt (30) which begins beneath the filling station (22), is intended for supporting and for transporting the filled bags (24) and has a strand which runs around a first deflecting roller (40) and around a second deflecting roller, it being possible for the conveying belt (30), in the region beneath the filling station (22), to be lowered and raised again by virtue of the first deflecting roller (40) being pivoted,
    characterized
    - in that the first deflecting roller (40) can be pivoted by means of a pivoting-lever mechanism (46), and
    - in that arranged beneath the top strand (28) of the conveying belt (30), in the region of the filling station (22), is a vibrator (54) which is supported on the pivoting-lever mechanism (46).
  2. Apparatus (10) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the first deflecting roller (40) can be pivoted via a pneumatically or hydraulically drivable lifting mechanism (46).
  3. Apparatus (10) according to Claim 2, characterized in that the first deflecting roller (46) of the conveying belt (22) can be periodically raised and lowered.
  4. Apparatus (10) according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that transversely running cleats (38) are arranged on the conveying belt (30).
  5. Apparatus (10) according to Claim 4, characterized in that counter to the transporting direction of the bags (24), which are transported up into the filling station (22) by the grippers (18, 20), is arranged, upstream of and above the conveying belt (30), a rod which runs transversely to the transporting direction and via which the bags (24) can be pulled such that, by way of a specific pivoting movement, they are deposited with their bottom ends, the base of the bag, between two cleats (38) of the conveying belt (30).
  6. Apparatus (10) according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the entire conveying belt (30) is mounted in a height-adjustable manner in the machine framework.
