Abstract

The invention relates to a circulating pump, notably for a water-circulating household appliance, such as a dishwasher or washing machine, which is provided with a wash tub and an electric heating device (17) for heating the wash-water, as well as a pump housing (14) which is flange-mounted on the motor housing of the pump and has suction and pressure stubs (15, 12, 13) for the liquid to be circulated and heated in the circular flow. Safety devices, such as thermostatic switches, pressure switches or such like are possibly provided for for monitoring the liquid to be circulated in the water circuit. According to the invention the heating device (17) is removably mounted on the pump housing (14) in the water circuit of the pump. Bei wasserführenden Haushaltgeräten, insbesondere bei Geschirrspülmaschinen, ist es allgemein bekannt, die zum Erwärmen der Spülflüssigkeit dienende elektrische Heizeinrichtung innerhalb des Spülbehälters vorzugsweise im muldenförmig ausgebildeten Bodenteil über oder unter den Filtersieben anzuordnen. Beim Geschirrspülen wird das durch die Rohrheizkörper erwärmte Spülwasser mittels der geräteeigenen Umwälzpumpe dann angesaugt und im Kreis- lauf über das Geschirr geführt. Aus den Gründen einer einfachen Montage, Wartung sowie aus Platzgründen ist die im Regelfall als Kreiselpumpe ausgebildete Umwälzpumpe außerhalb des Spülbehälters im Sockelbereich des Haushaltgerätes zugänglich installiert. Die Anschlußleitungen der elektrischen Heizung sind zusammen mit den Leitungen des Motors aus dem Pumpengehäuse und dem Spülbehälter flüssigkeitsdicht herausgeführt. Bei diesem Technikstand ist auch eine weitere Variante vorgesehen, nach welcher die Heizung innenseitig im Motorgehäuse angeordnet ist. Hierbei ist jedoch der Pumpenmotor vor zu hoher Wärmebelastung zu schützen. Andererseits kann die Heizung nur indirekt über das metallene Motorgehäuse die umzuwälzende Spülflüssigkeit erwärmen, weshalb mit einer erhöhten Heizleistung gearbeitet werden muß. Auch ist durch die nur indirekt auf das Spülwasser übertragbare Wärme der Wirkungsgrad der Heizung herabgesetzt. Die Zusammenfassung von Heizung und Pumpe zu einer nicht trennbaren Funktionseinheit macht bei einem Heizungs- oder Pumpendefekt den kompletten Austausch von Motor bzw. Die Umwälzpumpe (11 ) ist im Ausführungsbeispiel vorzugsweise als Krei- seipumpe mit im Pumpengehäuse (14) angeordnetem Pumpenlaufrad (16) für den Transport der Spülflüssigkeit ausgebildet. Die Heizeinrichtung (17) ist im Wasserlauf der Umwälzpumpe (11 ) am Pumpengehäuse (14), vorzugsweise innerhalb des Pumpengehäuses (14) zwi- sehen Ansaugstutzen (15) und Druckstutzen (12, 13) angeordnet. Sicherheitseinrichtungen, wie Thermoschalter, Druckschalter oder dergl. zur Überwachung der zu fördernden Flüssigkeit im Wasserkreislauf vorgesehen sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Heizungeinrichtung lösbar im Wasserlauf der Pumpe (11) am Pumpengehäuse (14) angeordnet ist.1.
