Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchte, insbesondere für Kraftfahrzeuge, mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a luminaire, in particular for motor vehicles, having the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Luminaires with Lichtleitstäben are well known. For example, e.g. From DE-A-41 29 094 a signal light for motor vehicles has become known, in which a plurality of Lichtleitstäbe are provided in a parallel arrangement to each other. In this Lichtleitstäbe light is irradiated by means of a light emitting diode at one end face, which is distributed over the length of the Lichtleitstabes. On the opposite side of the light exit surface of the light guide rod is provided with a plurality of prisms, at which the light beams are deflected in the direction of the light exit surface.

It has been found that, in particular with light guide rods arranged parallel to one another, care must be taken that the light entry surfaces lie in one plane. Then, namely, the individual light sources, in particular the light-emitting diodes, can be arranged on a common printed circuit board, whereby the constructive and assembly costs are reduced to a minimum.

However, lamps are also known in which, although parallel juxtaposed Lichtleitstäbe be used, but in which the light entry surfaces are not in a plane, but are laterally offset, since this is required by the shape of the lamp. In these luminaires, e.g. with trapezoidal or parallelogram shaped glass, the individual light sources can not be attached to a common board, as this would then be designed step-shaped. The individual light sources are therefore each mounted on a separate board, and the luminaire housing must be provided for each board with a receptacle or holder for the board. This embodiment is both constructive and expensive in terms of installation effort and thus costly.

From the closest CH-A-475 508 a light with a light rod is known, which has two end-side light entry surfaces and a light exit surface, and two light sources are provided, wherein the light entrance surface is inclined relative to a surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the light guide rod. US-A-5,434,754 and US-A-5,711,592 each disclose a luminaire having a light guide rod, a light entry surface, a light exit surface and a light source.

The invention has for its object to provide a lamp that is structurally simple and quick to install. In particular, the light guide rods are indeed be arranged parallel to each other, the light entry surfaces, however, not in a plane but stepped offset from each other.

This object is achieved with a luminaire having the features of claim 1.

Due to the inclination of the light entry surface of the light rod with respect to its longitudinal axis is caused that the incident light rays on the light entrance surface not only broken but the refracted rays are also deflected in the direction of inclination. In other words, this means that the light beams emanating from the light source are additionally deflected in this direction of inclination due to the inclination of the light entry surface. As a result, it is possible to intervene in the beam path of the light beams within the light guide rod. The luminaire according to the invention can be used as a signal light, as an interior light module, as a vehicle boundary light or as a vehicle lighting application.

In the above-mentioned luminaire, the geometric arrangement of the Lichtleitstäbe require a non-planar arrangement of the light exit surfaces and a simple structure is proposed, which allows the recording and contacting of the Lichtleitstäben associated light sources in a plane and thus, for example, allows the use of a simple board. This leads to the construction nevertheless constructive easy and quick to assemble the lamp and is inexpensive.

In a further development, it is provided that the axis of the light cone of the light source and / or the central axis of the light source is inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the light guide rod. In this way, a further possibility is created to change the course of the light rays within the light guide rod. In this possibility, however, the direction of the incident on the light entrance surface rays is changed due to the inclination of the light source.

In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the inclination of the light entry surface and the inclination of the light source are selected so that the light rays within the light guide rod at least as run as in conventional Lichtleitstäben that are illuminated normally. In this way, the light source inclined, that are arranged obliquely, wherein the course of the light rays is corrected within the Lichtleitstabes by the inclination of the light entry surface. Due to the inclination of the light sources, however, the board on which the light source or the light sources are located can also be arranged inclined. Thus, it is not necessary that the light entry surfaces of all Lichtleitstäbe lie in a plane perpendicular to the rod longitudinal axis. Rather, the ends of the Lichtleitstäbe can follow the inclination of the board, so that due to this orientation of the Lichtleitstäbe eg Trapezoidal tail lights can be optimally illuminated without having to use a separate board for each individual light source.

Preferably, the inclination directions of the light entry surfaces and the axis of the light cone of the light sources with respect to the longitudinal axis of the light guide rod are opposite to each other. Is e.g. the light entrance surface inclined to the right, then the associated light source is inclined to the left. This causes the light rays within the Lichtleitstabes experience little or no change in direction.

The invention thus provides an arrangement of one or more light guide rods, wherein an embodiment of the respective light entry surfaces is proposed, which allows to arrange the light sources associated with the light guide rods in a plane, so as to e.g. to get along with a single, flat board. Do the individual Lichtleitstäbe a plurality of coupling surfaces, e.g. on the opposite side, can be proceeded on the same principle.

In one embodiment, it is provided that the light entry surfaces of the adjacently arranged light guide rods form a kind of sawtooth profile. This is due to the fact that the direction of the inclination of the light entry surfaces is opposite to the direction of the inclination of the light sources.

Dabei zeigen:

Fig. 1:
eine Seitenansicht auf mehrere nebeneinander angeordnete Lichtleitstäbe hinter einem andeutungsweise dargestellten, trapezförmigen Leuchtenglas;
Fig. 2:
Further advantages, features and details of the invention will become apparent from the subclaims and the following description in which a particularly preferred embodiment is described in detail with reference to the drawings. Showing:
Fig. 1:
a side view on several side by side arranged Lichtleitstäbe behind a hinted, trapezoidal lamp glass;
Fig. 2:
a section II-II through the lowermost Lichtleitstab according to FIG. 1st

Dabei verläuft die Platine 22 in etwa parallel zur benachbarten Seitenkante 24 des Leuchtenglases 16.In Fig. 1, three generally designated 10 Lichtleitstäbe are shown, wherein the Lichtleitstäbe 10 are arranged one above the other and each having a light entry surface 12 which is provided at one end face. Facing the observer, the Lichtleitstäbe 10 each have a light exit surface 14, which are behind a trapezoidal lamp glass 16, which is shown only schematically by dashed lines. The light entry surfaces 12 are each associated with a light source 18, which is embodied by a light emitting diode 20. These light emitting diodes 20 are arranged on a single board 22, wherein the board 22 is arranged inclined relative to the vertical direction by the angle α. In this case, the board 22 extends approximately parallel to the adjacent side edge 24 of the lamp 16.

The LEDs 20 each radiate the associated light entry surface 12 of the respective Lichtleitstabes 10th on, wherein the light entry surface 12 is also inclined. The inclination direction, however, runs opposite to the direction of inclination of the board 22. The light entry surfaces 12 are thus inclined by the angle β relative to the vertical. As a result, the light beams of the light-emitting diodes 20, which are radiated, for example, conically, are refracted at the light entry surface 12 in such a way that the cone axis 32 of the light cone runs essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis 30 of the light guide rod 10. This means that, in spite of the inclined arrangement of the circuit board 22, the beam path within the light guide rods 10 is similar to that when the light guide rods 10 are illuminated at vertical light entry surfaces 12 with light sources 18 arranged parallel thereto.

In this way, the position of the Lichtleitstäbe 10 can be changed in such a way, in particular the Lichtleitstäbe 10 can be moved parallel to each other so that not only rectangular but also parallelogram and trapezoidal lights 16 can be optimally illuminated. The light rays 26 (FIG. 2) emitted by the light-emitting diode 20 and extending within the light-conducting rod 10 are distributed uniformly over the entire length of the light-conducting rod 10 and are refracted in such a way that they are opposite to the light emergence surface 14 Side provided prisms 28 impinge and are deflected from there in the direction of the light exit surface 14.

In such an arrangement of the Lichtleitstäbe 10, the individual LEDs 20 can be mounted on a single board 22, in particular soldered, so that only a single board 22 is required, which can be mounted relatively quickly or replaced if necessary. Stepped boards or triangular support base for the light sources 18 are therefore no longer required.
