Abstract

Claims (6)

  1. Door of a motor vehicle without a pillar separating the front and rear side doors, of the type comprising
    a frame (12) and a leaf (14) which can be displaced between open and closed positions,
    first complementary means (16) for locking the leaf (14) in a closed position, comprising a first catch (20) and a first striker (22) which are carried by complementary lower portions (12I, 14I) and upper portions (12S, 14S) of the frame (12) and the leaf (14), respectively, and
    second complementary means (18) for locking (14) in a closed position, comprising a second catch (26) and a second striker (28) which are carried by complementary upper portions (12S, 14S) and lower portions (12I, 14I) of the frame (12) and the leaf (14), respectively,
    characterised in that
    the first locking means (16) are activated by mechanical means and the second locking means (18) are activated by electrical means (30),
    the electrical activation means comprise electrical means (30) for displacement in translation of the second striker (28) between a protruding position in which it co-operates with the second catch (26) and a retracted position in which it is disengaged relative to this second catch (26),
    the frame (14) carries a button (32) for controlling the electrical means (30) for displacing the second striker (28), this button (32) being activated by co-operation with the leaf (14) when the leaf (14) reaches the closed position thereof in order to control the displacement of the second striker (28) from the retracted position towards the protruding position thereof.
  2. Door according to claim 1, characterised in that the control button (32) is carried by the portion (12I) of the frame that carries the first catch (20).
  3. Door according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the second catch (26) and the second striker (28) are provided with complementary inclined portions (26R, 28R) which are intended to co-operate with each other in order to urge the leaf (14) towards the closed position thereof.
  4. Door according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first locking means (16) are of the type having two locking notches, the first catch (20) being in the form of a spindle and the first striker (22) being in the form of a hook which is articulated so as to be able to be displaced between at least one hooking position on the first catch (20) and a disengaging position relative to this first catch (20), the first striker (22) being displaced from the disengaging position towards the hooking position thereof by co-operation with the catch (20).
  5. Door according to claim 4, characterised in that it can be displaced between, on the one hand, a locking position of the first notch, in which the first striker (22) is hooked to the first catch (20) in such a manner that the leaf (14) is not completely closed but nevertheless cannot open inadvertently, and in which the leaf (14) does not co-operate with the button (32) and, on the other hand, a locking position of the second notch, in which the first striker (22) is always hooked to the first catch (20) in order to retain this leaf (14) in the completely closed position thereof and in which the leaf (14) co-operates with the button (32).
  6. Motor vehicle, characterised in that it comprises a door according to any one of the preceding claims.
