Abstract

The tilting roof for a motor vehicle has three panels (1-3), with the movement of the rear panel (3) towards the boot controlled by a pivoting arm (6) on the vehicle bodywork. The rear panels is mounted by two levers (9,10) also connected to the middle panel (2). The middle panels is connected by two further levers (15,16) to the front panel (1). The panels are superimposed by the linkage as the roof is retracted.
