- the razor 1 comprises a head 2 and a handle not shown, said head 2 being equipped with a cutting blade 3. Being a razor disposable, this head 2 is made up of various elements obtained by injection or molding of plastic material, for example polystyrene and assembled by any appropriate means.
- the razor 1 also includes a protective cover 4 which wraps the entire front part 5 of the head 2 and whose function is to protect the cutting blade 3.
- This protective cover 4 is designed to snap into place, removably, on said front part 5. Its holding in position, in the illustrated configuration, is obtained by any known means, for example thanks to the presence of nipples, practiced by thermal punching on the protective cover, said pins coming apply in recessed parts of the razor head, creating a some resistance for removing the protective cover 4.
- the head 2 of the razor 1, including its protective cover 4 further comprises a tongue capable of be broken during the first removal of the protective cover 4.
- This part constitutes an audible indicator, guaranteeing that the cover 4 has never been removed since its initial installation on the head 2.
- this tongue 6 is an integral part of one of the elements 7 obtained by injection or molding of a plastic material.
- This tongue 6 is arranged under the lower face 2 a of the head 2, substantially perpendicular to said face 2 a .
- the longitudinal edge 4a of the protective cover 4 which is intended to be placed at said lower face 2a of the head 2 is terminated by a shoulder 8 facing the interior of the protective cap 4.
- This shoulder 8 has a shape in quarter olive, with an external convex surface 8 a and an internal rectilinear surface 8 b .
- the convex surface 8 a which is applied to the tongue 6. Due to the curvature of this convex surface 8 a , the tongue undergoes a progressive force which makes it bend, without breaking.
- the rectilinear inner surface 8 b which is applied to the tongue 6 applying a high instantaneous force that is sufficient to break the tab 6 and to obtain the significant sound signal , according to the invention, of the first use.
- the rectilinear inner surface 8 b is preferably parallel to the plane of the tongue 6; moreover, the thickness of the tongue 6 must be sufficiently small so that the mechanical resistance necessary to obtain the rupture is compatible with the force usually used by the user to remove the protective cover 4.
- the present invention is not limited to the precise embodiment which has just been described by way of non-exhaustive example. We could indeed have on the underside 2 a of the head 2 a succession of tabs 6, offset to each other in the direction of movement of the internal surface 8 b when removing the cover 4, inducing a succession of ruptures and so a cascading sound effect.
- the removal of the protective cover 4 takes place in a direction illustrated by the arrow F in the figure.
- Other forms of protective covers can be implemented, according to the invention, including those whose removal takes place in a longitudinal direction relative to the direction of the cutting blades, direction which is perpendicular to the plane of the section of the single figure. In this case of course the bearing surface will no longer be in a direction longitudinal as above but in a transverse direction.
- the present invention applies not only to razors disposable as described above but also to the shaving comprising a razor with disposable heads, said heads being sold in batches and inserted in protective housings, each head being nested in the corresponding housing.
- the user presents the razor without head facing the housing, introduces in the head the means of attachment and exercises a pull so as to bring the head out of the housing in which it is fitted. Possibly he can, if he wishes, replace after use, the head in its housing by proceeding in reverse which has just been described.
- the razor system comprises a tongue capable of being broken during the first removal of the head from its housing.
- This tab is fixed either in the housing or on the head under conditions similar to what was described in the example above, that is to say respectively engaging either with a part of the head either with part of the housing so as to be broken during the first removal of the head from its housing. So when the user removes the head for the first time after acquisition housing, he perceives the desired sound effect which guarantees him that it is first use for the head he will use

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a razor, in particular disposable or with a head disposable, whose blade (s) are protected, when acquired by the user, by a cover or a protective housing.
When buying a razor, the user cannot be sure that it has not already been used or that the blade has not been tampered with one way or another. This uncertainty is all the more troublesome in the case of a disposable razor or a disposable head whose, by definition, the lifespan is relatively short, of the order of 5 to 7 uses in average. Certainly most disposable razors have a hood protector which fits over the head of the razor to protect the cutting blades. However, the presence of this protective cover is not sufficient to provide a real guarantee to the user since said cover is perfectly removable, being intended to be repositioned on the shaver head after each use. It is the same for the heads disposable which are inserted in protective housings, in the since it is possible to reposition the disposable head after use in his accommodation.
Of course one solution is to sell the razor or the disposable head in an adequate packaging which it is necessary to destroy to seize razor or head. However in this case, to be totally effective, it is necessary that there is a packaging per razor or per head. Indeed when a plurality of razors or heads are sold in the same packaging, once it is opened, the user is no longer able to know whether one or the other of the razors (or heads) has been used, question which can arise when the razors (or heads) are available to several people.
On a déjà proposé, par le document WO 97/19612 une solution consistant à prévoir des moyens de fixation temporaire, fixés, à la fois sur le capot protecteur et sur la tête du rasoir, lesdits moyens consistant notamment en une bande adhésive devant être manuellement enlevée ou cassée pour pouvoir retirer le capot protecteur du rasoir et utiliser celui-ci.WO 97/19612 has already proposed a solution consisting in providing temporary fixing means, fixed both on the protective cover and on the head of the razor, said means consisting in particular in an adhesive strip to be manually removed or broken to be able to remove the protective cover from the shaver and use it.
This solution requires the implementation of means which complicates the manufacturing of the razor and which requires a particular operation for the user which is not not used to.
The goal set by the applicant is to propose a solution different to this problem which does not require the implementation of a packaging and which overcomes the disadvantages of the solution proposed by the document WO 97/19612.
Ce but est atteint par un rasoir selon la revendication 1 et un système de rasage selon la revendication 9.This object is achieved by a razor according to claim 1 and a shaving system according to claim 9.
This object is perfectly achieved by the razor of the invention, which, in known manner, the head is provided with a protective member in which it removably fits to protect the blade (s) cutting before and possibly after use and which comprises a part able to be broken during the first removal of the protective caoot.
According to the invention, the part in question is a tongue which is fixed either on the head or on the protective member and which comes to bear respectively either on a part of the protective member either on a part of the head so as to be broken during the first separation of the protective organ and the head.
Thus, the tongue is an integral part of one of the elements (head or protective organ) and this is the usual gesture of separation of two elements that cause the rupture of the tongue.
The noise caused by the rupture of the tongue constitutes a audible warning, confirming to the user that the protective device which has been placed during assembly of the shaver has not yet been removed and therefore the use he is going to make is indeed a first use.
In the case of a disposable razor or a razor with a disposable head, provided a protective cover removably fitting onto the head of the razor to protect the cutting blade (s) before and after use, depending on a first variant of the invention, the tongue is fixed to the head of the razor to protect the cutting blade (s) before and after use, depending on a first variant of the invention, the tongue is fixed to the head of the razor and engages with part of the protective cover upon removal of it. When the user removes the protective cover, he is obliged to exert a certain traction on the razor in order to dislodge the hood protector of the razor head. During relative movement between the hood and the head, part of the cover engages on the tongue and, according to the invention, breaks it.
In a preferred embodiment, the protective cover has on its inner face, a shoulder with an internal rectilinear surface, which is substantially parallel to the plane of the tongue when the cover is placed on the head of the razor and with an external convex surface. In this embodiment, it is the internal rectilinear surface which engages with the tongue and which communicates to it the force necessary for its rupture when removing the cover. However, the convex surface allows the fitting of the cover on the head of the razor despite the presence of the tongue; because of the convex shape, there is an action progressive mechanics on the tongue which causes it to bend without breaking.
Preferably the shoulder with external convex surface and internal rectilinear surface constitutes the longitudinal edge of the cover protective.
In order not to alter the aesthetics of the razor head, preferably the tab is on the underside of the head of the Shaver.
More specifically, a disposable razor made of elements obtained by molding or injection of plastic, the part capable of being broken during the first removal of the protective cover made integral part of one of said elements of the head.
According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the part acting as first-time audible indicator is a fixed tab on the inside of the protective cover and engaging with a part of the razor head when removing said cover.
In addition it may be possible to have not one but several tabs capable of being broken during the first removal of the cover protector, said parts being in particular offset by one relative to others in the direction of movement of the protective cover relative to the razor head when removing said cover so as to cause a succession of breaking noises.
Being a razor system with disposable heads, possibly not provided with a protective cover, in which system each disposable head is inserted into a protective housing in which said head removably fits, of the general type known from US-A-4,285,428 according to claim 9 said system comprises at least one tab capable of being broken during first removal of the head from its housing, in the same conditions as above.
The present invention will be better understood on reading the description which will be given of a preferred embodiment of a razor disposable with first-time audible indicator, illustrated by the attached drawing in which the single figure is a schematic sectional representation partial of said razor.
The razor 1 comprises a
certaine résistance pour le retrait du capot protecteur 4.The razor 1 also includes a protective cover 4 which
wraps the
enlevé depuis sa pose initiale sur la tête 2.According to the characteristic of the invention, the
tête 2, sensiblement perpendiculaire à ladite face 2a.In the example illustrated, this
During the first mounting of the protective cover 4 on the
rectiligne interne 8b est de préférence parallèle au plan de la languette 6;
To get a clean break, reliably, the rectilinear inner surface 8 b is preferably parallel to the plane of the
On
The present invention is not limited to the precise embodiment which has just been described by way of non-exhaustive example. We could indeed have on the
In addition it would be possible to fix the tongue capable of being broken no longer on the razor head but on the hood itself. In this case it is a part of the head which would act as a support surface for obtain the rupture of said tongue. This alternative would however more complex to perform compared to the above example.
In what has just been described, the removal of the protective cover 4 takes place in a direction illustrated by the arrow F in the figure. Other forms of protective covers can be implemented, according to the invention, including those whose removal takes place in a longitudinal direction relative to the direction of the cutting blades, direction which is perpendicular to the plane of the section of the single figure. In this case of course the bearing surface will no longer be in a direction longitudinal as above but in a transverse direction.
Finally, the present invention applies not only to razors disposable as described above but also to the shaving comprising a razor with disposable heads, said heads being sold in batches and inserted in protective housings, each head being nested in the corresponding housing. When he wants to use a new head, the user presents the razor without head facing the housing, introduces in the head the means of attachment and exercises a pull so as to bring the head out of the housing in which it is fitted. Possibly he can, if he wishes, replace after use, the head in its housing by proceeding in reverse which has just been described. According to the invention, the razor system comprises a tongue capable of being broken during the first removal of the head from its housing. This tab is fixed either in the housing or on the head under conditions similar to what was described in the example above, that is to say respectively engaging either with a part of the head either with part of the housing so as to be broken during the first removal of the head from its housing. So when the user removes the head for the first time after acquisition housing, he perceives the desired sound effect which guarantees him that it is first use for the head he will use
