Description

The invention relates to an electrical connection terminal according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a connection terminal is known from DE 2005923 A. This known terminal has in different embodiments a housing with an insertion track of a busbar for the free End of an electrical conductor on which is held in the housing Clamp spring is pressed against the insertion path. At the Busbar is another connection point for another conductor provided, wherein the housing consists of electrically conductive material and forms the busbar and following the entry track is provided with a contact surface for another conductor, against which presses a second leg of the clamping spring.

Terminal blocks of this type are the same for contacting two trained electrical conductors suitable, but are not suitable for Connection of simple strip conductors, such as those used for installation boxes of electrical installation systems according to that of the applicant German patent application 19816554.4 are used.

Other types of connection terminals are from DE 4014048 A1 known where to make the housing from an insulating material has and the clamping spring interact with a busbar leaves, which protrudes into the introduction path and with their other End is designed as a flat receptacle or as a tongue. terminals This type also has the advantage of being screwless Terminal points are formed, which are connected without tools can. The disadvantage, however, is that the dimensions are sometimes very large become large and the desired spectrum for the cable diameter to be connected is not covered.

From DE 2440825 A1 there is also a contact piece for a connecting terminal known to be included in a made of insulating material Serves housing and in one embodiment from a U-shaped curved holding part consists of two S-shaped on the inner leg curved springs are inserted. Other embodiments that are also shown there, provide a solid contact part that with trough-shaped depressions running parallel to each other where contact is made within the channels, so that no part of the clamping spring projects beyond an outside of the contact piece. Such types are also not easier to connect Band conductors are suitable and, above all, they are relative in production consuming. Such contact pieces must always be made of insulating housings to be encased.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of a connecting terminal of the type mentioned in such a way that a universal use is possible and that also a simple connection can be provided on a strip conductor.

To achieve this object, the invention according to claim 1, in an electrical Terminal of the type mentioned in that the contact surface arranged on the outside of an upstanding end wall and that the second leg of the clamping spring is a guide and Forms a clamping tab in front of the contact surface.

This configuration on the one hand becomes a special insulating housing to accommodate the clamping spring and an additional busbar superfluous. The new contact terminal can be used in corresponding Recesses of an existing in a known manner from insulating material Device cup are used. It can be used for connection of lamps, switches, sockets with different plug angles and for connections according to international standards as well as for telecommunications technology use. The arrangement of a contact area, which is now an outer surface of the housing in a simple manner contact with a strip conductor in a simple manner.

In a development of the invention, the contact surface of the housing be provided with beads pressed outwards through which the contact surface is reduced due to the formation of touch points prescribed criteria against inadmissible temperature increase fulfill.

The contact surface can be formed by two upstanding wall parts be between them an opening for carrying out the second Have leg of the clamping spring, the second leg of the Clamp spring on the side facing away from the first spring legs is passed between the two wall parts.

The second leg of the clamping spring forms on that of the two spring legs side facing away from the clamping tab that comes out of the housing protrudes and is arranged in front of the contact surface.

It is particularly simple if the housing is frame-shaped and is overlapped to form a frame punched sheet metal that is on one of a floor end wall protruding upwards with openings for inserting the cable ends and on the opposite end wall with the contact surface is provided.

Beide Wandteile sind zur Oberseite hin rechtwinklig abgewinkelt und gehen in ein gemeinsames Wandteil 8 über, das mit einem wiederum um 90° abgewinkelten Endstück 9 etwas in den freien Raum des rahmenförmigen Gehäuses 1 hereinragt.1 is a frame-shaped housing 1 made of electrical conductive material, for example made of brass, that on one of its closed sides 2 with two circular Openings 3, 3a is provided. At the bottom of this case 1 are two insertion paths narrowing in the direction of arrows IV 5 and 5a are provided, between which an opening 4 is provided. The two entry lanes 5 and 5a end to the second closed side of the frame-shaped housing 1 in two upward-looking bow-shaped wall parts, which are provided with bead-shaped features 7, the extend outwards. Both wall parts are to the top angled at right angles and go into a common Wall part 8 above, which is in turn angled by 90 ° Tail 9 something in the free space of the frame-shaped Housing 1 protrudes.

The wall part 8 partially overlaps the ceiling 10 of the frame-shaped Housing 1 and is with this via clamping hook 11 connected, which is bent down from the ceiling area 10 are.

The middle part is between the ceiling part 10 and the wall part 8 a clamping spring 12 clamped, consisting of two side by side lying U-shaped spring legs 12a, of each of which is assigned to one of the insertion tracks 5 or 5a is. The unite in the area of the clamping tabs 11 two spring legs 12a and go into a second approximately spring legs 13 bent downwards at right angles, which in turn forms a U-shaped tab and a by about Has 180 ° bent free end 13a, which - see in particular Fig. 2 - by the between the two wall parts of the housing 1 formed protrudes to the outside and with these wall parts an insertion pocket for one from Fig. 1 visible band conductor 14 forms. This band leader 14 is, as is evident from FIGS. 2 to 4, by the clamping action of the tab 13a against the beads 7 Wall parts pressed and in this way comes in a defined Contact to housing 1 of the connection terminal. Since the Wall parts in direct electrical connection with the Entry tracks 5 and 5a are against which the stripped Ends 15 of the cables 16 (Fig. 1) when inserted through the openings 3, 3a by the action of the leg 12a of the clamping spring 12 can be pressed, a perfect electrical Connection between the strip conductor 14 and the cables 16 achieved become.

It must also be mentioned that between the two entry lanes 5 and 5a of the housing 1, a web 17 projecting upwards is provided, which serves to cross the ends 15 to prevent the connection cable even when on the connection terminal act on external bending movements.

The two cable ends 15 are connected as shown in FIG. 1 can be easily seen, just by inserting the ends 15 through the openings 3 and 3a into the insertion tracks 5 and 5a. The spring leg 12a is in the Insertion direction bent up and then ensures on the one hand for pressing the cable ends onto the entry tracks 5 and 5a, but also that the cable ends not be pulled out of the openings 3 and 3a again can.

However, if this is to be done, opening 4, e.g. with a screwdriver, one of the legs 12a bent up so that a connecting cable can then be removed, without affecting the secure hold of the second cable. In order to overstretch one with such a dismantling movement to avoid the spring leg 12a, the wall part 9 is provided, that as a stop against such hyperextension serves.

From the above it can be seen that the new connection terminal is composed of only two parts which can be produced very simply by punching and bending processes and are then assembled in one operation. Due to its design, the new connection terminal is suitable for accepting almost all common connection cables, e.g. single-wire or multi-wire copper conductors up to 4mm 2 nominal cross-section, but also fine-stranded copper conductors with ultrasonic welding, also up to 4mm 2 and fine-stranded copper conductors up to 2.5mm 2 with wire end ferrules. 1 and 4, the insertion tracks 5a are provided with sharp side edges 18 which ensure good contact of the inserted cable end 15 with the housing 1 when pressed by the spring leg 12a. The strip conductor 14 can be easily inserted from above and brought into contact clamping. The new connection terminal is therefore also suitable for contacting strip conductors.
