Description
A suction head of the construction described is for example known from EP-A-0 125 994. The carrier plate is with Bristle strips equipped in the working direction in front and are arranged behind the suction mouth. The bristle strips are rigid and stop when vacuuming smooth floors the suction mouth in a structurally accurate predetermined, defined distance from the ground to a To prevent scratching the suction mouth edges on the floor surface to keep the pushing forces low and the The narrow working gap between the To ensure suction mouth edges and the surface. Next their function as supporting elements are also sealing elements, the area under the nozzle, especially the Isolate the suction mouth area against uncontrolled air access and make sure that it is in the area of the suction mouth can set a sufficient suction vacuum and a high, effective suction on the working edges of the suction mouth Air speed is generated.
It is also known to be vertically adjustable Carrier plate a front bristle bar and a rear arrange flexible rubber lip. When vacuuming smooth floors is the suction head on the front bristle bar and one supported rear roller. The rubber lip slides on the floor and seals the area behind the suction mouth against uncontrolled air access.
A suction head of the construction described at the beginning enables good dust absorption both on smooth floor coverings and also with textile floor coverings. Nevertheless acts smooth high-gloss floor often a little after vacuum cleaning dull. Furthermore, the bristle strips and / or rubber lips leave stripes on sensitive floors.
The invention has for its object a suction head to further develop the structure described at the beginning, that a better cleaning result on smooth, shiny floors is achievable.
To achieve this object, the invention teaches that Bottom of the support and sealing element as a wide polishing surface is trained and a soft, textile covering having, the supporting and sealing element in Working direction arranged behind the suction mouth and has a polishing surface that Is larger than the area of the suction mouth. A covering on felt is particularly suitable, Plush fabric or a compressed nonwoven.
The arranged according to the invention on the underside of the carrier plate Element fulfills several functions. It takes the normal force on the during the suction process User as well as by the suction vacuum on the upper part of the housing is exercised and keeps the suction mouth in one given distance to the ground. It also acts as a sealing element an uncontrolled air supply in particular prevented from behind and thus the necessary suction vacuum maintains. After all, it's designed as a polishing element which refreshes the shine of high-gloss floors and banding, e.g. due to rubber abrasion. In the functional position "support and sealing element retracted" the element has no ground contact, so that the Pushing force of the suction head when vacuuming on textile floors not changed and also the suction properties of the suction head remain unchanged on textile floor.
In the functional position "support and sealing element extended" the polishing surface lies flat on the surface to be cleaned Floor on. At the front end in the working direction of the suction head, the upper housing part is also expedient supported. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention the carrier plate has both a bristle strip also a support and sealing element with a wide polishing surface on, the bristle strip in the working direction before Suction mouth and the carrying and trained as a polishing element Sealing element arranged behind the suction mouth in the working direction is. Instead of a support on one Bristle bar is also a support on one front roll possible.
