Description

The present invention relates to a corkscrew and more precisely an automatic type corkscrew.

Automatic type corkscrews are devices that allow, by action on one or more control bodies, to perform the different successive operations of inserting a screw extraction inside the cap, extraction of this last of the bottle neck and expulsion of the extract cap.

Most automatic corkscrews the prior art and in particular that according to patent EP-A-0.818.414 are essentially made up of a body, or frame, comprising means of guiding a moving head, whose movement is ensured by control members, and which is provided with a screw extraction mounted free in rotation and fixed in translation on this head. These corkscrews include also a nut, itself mounted movable in translation on the body in which the extraction screw is screwed. In such devices, during the introduction phase of the extraction screw in the cap, it is secured the frame nut and the head is moved relative to this, which has the effect of causing the rotation of the extraction screw in the nut and its penetration at inside the cap. In the next phase, which is the extraction phase, we ensure that the head of the nut using locking means and then performs a translational movement of the nut and the on the one hand, which prevents any rotation of the extraction screw and on the other hand to drive the cap out of the neck of the bottle. We then moves, in a third step, the head and the nut down the body and finally in a fourth time, and after immobilizing the nut and having separated it of the head by acting using levers on the means the head is moved away from the latter, which has the effect of rotating the extraction screw and extract it from the cap thus ensuring the release of the latter.

We know different types of corkscrews implementing such an operating principle. These corkscrews, which are used, for example, communities, are mostly devices bulky items intended to be fixed on a work surface.

We also proposed corkscrews automatic operating on the same principle and which are for the use of individuals. These models as well as that according to patent EP-A-0.818.414 use corkscrew tightening mechanisms on the neck of the bottle by means of lever arms. It follows that the user is thus forced to make efforts not having a single direction, that is, it is forced on the one hand to tighten the neck of the bottle by means of the levers and secondly to exercise an effort perpendicular to it from bottom to top and conversely during the implementation cycle of this corkscrew.

Furthermore, due to the presence of the levers holding the corkscrew on the neck of the bottles, this type of device is mostly a relatively large size since its volume essentially extends along two dimensions.

The object of the present invention is to provide a automatic type corkscrew, compact extending essentially in one direction preferential, and a reduced cost price.

The present invention thus relates to a corkscrew automatic type comprising a tubular body the internal surface of which forms a guide for a mounted drawer movable in translation along the longitudinal axis of said body between a high position and a low position, this drawer consisting of at least two parts, namely a head and a nut, the head being integral with means of gripping and comprising at its base an extraction screw freely mounted in rotation and fixed in translation by report to the head, the nut, receiving the extraction screw, so that during a relative movement of the head relative to the nut the extraction screw performs a rotational movement, in which one of the two said parts of the drawer is provided with locking means able to cooperate with reception means complementary arranged on the other part, so that ensure, when activated, the joining of two said parts, characterized in that this corkscrew further comprises unlocking means acting in the position of rest of the corkscrew, on the locking means so to release the two parts of the drawer, and means for disconnecting means for unlocking allowing, when activated, securing the head and the nut.

The body of the corkscrew will preferably be formed of two tubular half-shells and will include at least a longitudinal groove, and each of the elements of the drawer will have at least one nipple able to move in this groove.

In one embodiment of the corkscrew according to the invention, the nut is formed from two parts, namely,
  • a sleeve comprising, at its upper part, latching means capable of cooperating in a determined angular position, with stop means arranged at the base of the nut and which ensure, in this position, their connection in longitudinal translation and , in another angular position, their freedom in translation,
  • a nut element which is rotatably mounted at the base of the socket.

Preferably the base of each groove longitudinal opens on a transverse groove, suitable for receive the nipple of the socket, under the effect of means of elastic stress, when the sleeve is in low position in the body.

Furthermore, the stop means made on the head may consist of a share of at least one radial stop extending outward from the base of a cylindrical portion and on the other hand of a zone free of abutment, the latching means comprising at minus a radial stop extending inwards and suitable, when the stud integral with the socket is in longitudinal alignment with the stud attached to the nut element, to cooperate with the stop of the head of so as to secure the connection in translation longitudinal of these two elements.

In one embodiment of the invention the free stop area is arranged so that, when the stud attached to the socket is applied to the bottom of the transverse groove by elastic means, the radial stop is in longitudinal alignment with the free zone, thus allowing the separation in longitudinal translation of the head and the nut. The disconnection control means means of unlocking can be mobile in translation longitudinal between a lowered position and a position raised, and have at least one inclined face, relative to to the longitudinal axis of the corkscrew, which is suitable, when in the raised position, to make contact with the nipple of the socket in order to bring it into alignment longitudinal with the nipple of the nut element. Preferably these disconnection control means will be kept at rest, in the low position, by elastic means and will be able to be brought in high position by pressing these means on the neck of a bottle.

La figure 13 est une vue en coupe transversale d'un autre élément représenté suivant la ligne XIII-XIII de la figure 11.Figure 13 is a cross-sectional view of another element represented along line XIII-XIII in Figure 11.

La figure 14 est une vue en perspective éclatée de l'exemple de mise en oeuvre d'un tire-bouchon suivant l'invention représenté sur les figures 10 à 13.Figure 14 is an exploded perspective view of the following example of implementation of a corkscrew the invention shown in Figures 10 to 13.

In a first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 7 the corkscrew according to the invention consists of a tubular body 1 formed of two shells 2. These are linked in translation by nipples 6 which take place in holes correspondents of these. The two shells 2 once assemblies are threaded into a sheath 4 which ensures the maintenance of the whole.

The two shells 2 are hollowed out with a groove longitudinal 8 of rectangular cross section which is intended to provide translational guidance for a drawer parallelepiped 10 formed of two parts, namely a head 12 and a nut 14. The nut 14 is shaped substantially cubic and extends upward by two tabs 16 which are intended to come to take place in respective recesses 18 of corresponding shape hollowed out in the head 12. The tongues 16 are drilled at their upper part of respective holes 19 intended for receive opposite lugs 20 which are mounted telescopic on the head 12, under the action of a spring compression 21 disposed therebetween. We assure thus the joining of the two parts constituting the drawer 10 namely the head 12 and the nut 14.

The upper part of the head 12 is connected to gripping means 7, and its lower part is hollowed out with an orifice 13 intended to receive means for suspension and holding of an extraction screw 22. These suspension means consist of a socket 15 and a nut 25 which allow both free rotation of the screw 22 relative to the head 12 and its maintenance in the longitudinal direction. The lower part of the screw 22 longitudinally passes through the nut 14 which, for this purpose, is drilled with a hole suitable for the shape helical screw 22, so as to form a nut. However, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, the nut is preferably formed by a central hole and longitudinal 26 with a diameter close to the diameter end of screw 22 by two cylindrical pins and parallels 24 whose axes are perpendicular to the axis longitudinal yy 'of the corkscrew and are offset one of each other both vertically and vertically transverse.

The bottom of the top of each groove 8 is hollowed out by a recess 28 in which is fixed, by its upper part, an elastic blade 30 whose base has a nipple 32 with a diameter and a length such that they allow it to take place inside the hole 19 of the tongue 16. The blade 30 will be such that it has sufficient stiffness to move the nipple 32 towards the yy 'axis of the corkscrew with force of higher application than that of spring 21 so that, in the device's rest position, the pins 32 push the lugs 20 against the spring 21 and take place in the hole 19 of the tongue 16, thus ensuring on the one hand the immobilization of the nut 14 relative to the body 1 of the corkscrew, and on the other hand the unlocking it from the head 12, as well as shown on the left side of Figure 4.

Each of the two shells 2 is hollowed out at its lower part of a longitudinal internal groove 33, these two internal grooves being intended to receive two respective slides 34 which are arranged at the part upper part of a tubular element 36 intended to receive the neck 3 of the bottle from which we wish to extract the cap 5 with that of the body 1 of the corkscrew.

The two slides 34 have, on their face external, a stop 37 intended to limit their travel to inside the groove 33 and which move in recesses 38 provided in the shells 2.

A compression spring 35 is disposed between the base of body 1 and the top of the element tubular 36, this compression spring having the effect move the tubular element 36 away from the body 1.

The lower part of the blades 30 and the part external upper opposite the slides 34 are bevelled so that when we move the slides 34 upwards against the action of the compression spring 35, the bevelled part of each slide comes into contact with the corresponding part beveled tongue 30 with the effect, as well as represented on the right half of figure 4, of push it outwards which allows pins 20 to resume their place inside the holes respective 19 of the tabs 16, which has the effect of secure the two parts of the drawer 10, namely the head 12 and nut 14.

In order to ensure the centering of bottlenecks bottles 3 of different diameters, the tubular element 36 is provided with a deformable clamp 40. This clamp is consisting of a first part, or base 40a, of form cylindrical which is fixed on the internal face of the element tubular 36 and a second upper part 40b of frustoconical shape, which is split longitudinally of a plurality of grooves 41, so as to form therebetween deformable and elastic tabs 39. When one places the neck 3 of a bottle in the clamp 40, as shown in Figure 6b, it comes in support on the tabs 39 with the effect of deform, so that by reaction these ensure a automatic centering of the neck 3.

Dans ces conditions, le fonctionnement du tire-bouchon automatique suivant l'invention s'établit ainsi que décrit ci-après, et représenté sur les dessins schématiques des figures la à le et les dessins de détail des figures 2 à 6.Under these conditions, the operation of the corkscrew automatic according to the invention is thus established as described below, and shown in the drawings schematics of figures la to the and detail drawings Figures 2 to 6.

Indeed in this position, the spring of compression 35 moves the tubular element 36 away from the base of the body 1 and the slides 34 are pushed back in low position, (left half of figure 4) so that the nipples 32 push inward the lugs 20 which has the effect of preventing the securing of the head 12 with the nut 14 and other part of securing the nut 14 of the body 1.

As shown in FIGS. 1b and 6b, the neck 3 of the bottle containing the stopper 5 to be extracted is then introduced inside the clamp 40 and a vertical force F 1 is exerted on the body 1 , so as to compress the spring 35 as much as possible, which has the effect of applying the bevelled upper parts of the slides 34 against the bevelled lower parts of the elastic blades 30, thus pushing the pins 32 outwards as shown on the right side of the Figure 4. Is exerted simultaneously, in the same direction, a force F ' 1 of the same direction on the gripping member 7, which has the effect of moving down the head 12 while printing the extraction screw 22 a rotation, due to its passage through the nut 14, which allows it, as shown in FIGS. 1b and 6b, to penetrate inside the plug 5.

It will be noted that once the head 12 has reached the end stroke, the lugs 20 are opposite the holes 19 of the tabs 16 which are released so that they can enter the latter thus ensuring the securing of the head 12 with the nut 14.

During the second implementation phase of the corkscrew according to the invention, or extraction phase, shown in FIGS. 1c and 6c, a force F ′ 2 is exerted on the gripping element 7. direction opposite to the force F ' 1 above , which has the effect of driving upward not only the head 12 but also the nut 14 which is now secured to it. During this movement, since there is no relative movement of these two parts, the extraction screw 22 is not subjected to a rotational movement, and the stopper 5 is extracted from the neck 3.

During the third phase of implementation of the corkscrew according to the invention, or descent phase, shown in FIGS. 1d and 6d, the gripping element 7 is pushed back in the direction of the arrow F ′ 1 , which has the effect of bringing the head 12 and the nut 14 at the end of the lower stroke.

During the fourth phase of implementation of the device according to the invention, or expulsion phase, as shown in Figures Le and 6e, exerting on the gripping element 7 a force F ' 2 directed towards the high. During the resulting movement, it can be seen that the spring 35 pushes down the tubular element 36, which has the effect of moving the bevelled parts of the slides 34 away from the corresponding parts of the tongues 30, as shown in FIG. left part of Figure 4, so that the pins 32 take place in the holes 19 of the tabs 16, which has the effect of one hand to secure the nut 14 to the body 1 and to separate the head 12 from the nut 14, since the pins 20 are pushed back. During this movement, the head 12 is therefore raised, which has the effect of rotating the extraction screw 22 relative to the plug 5 and therefore unscrewing it from the latter.

We can of course, according to the invention replace the grip element consisting of a handle simple 7 in direct engagement with the head 12, by means of duplication of effort, such as for example a system with levers of the type commonly used in the field of corkscrews, of the type shown in particular for example in figure 7.

We can of course, according to the invention perform both the locking means and unlocking as the means of disconnecting the means of unlocking using devices other than those described with reference to Figures 1 to 7.

Thus, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, we can lock head 12 with nut 14 by the cooperation of two elastic strips 44 integral with head 12 and which terminate at their anterior ends by hooks 43 which, in normal position, that is to say when they do not undergo no constraint, come to take place in notches 45 provided in the front part of the nut 14, and thus ensure the joining of the head 12 and of the nut 14.

The device comprises unlocking means which are constituted by longitudinal elements 47 which are mounted movable along the longitudinal axis yy 'of the corkscrew and which are urged by elastic means 49 in the direction of the arrow F 3 , so coming to bear on the base of the hooks 43. The elastic means 49 are such that they are able to deform the tongues 44 outwards, so as to extract the hooks 43 from the notches 45, thus freeing the head 12 from the nut 14.

The device also includes means for disconnection of the unlocking elements 47, shown schematically by a traction element transverse 50 and which allows, by rotating the elements 47 to disengage them from the base of the hooks 43. The hooks 43 thus released take again place, as shown in Figure 9, in the notches 45 thus ensuring the joining of the head 12 and nut 14.

On peut bien entendu, dans le cadre de l'invention mettre en oeuvre tout autre moyen permettant d'assurer la déconnexion des moyens de déverrouillage de façon à assurer la solidarisation de la tête 12 et de l'écrou 14.One can of course, within the framework of the invention implement any other means to ensure the disconnection of the unlocking means so as to securing the head 12 and the nut 14.

There is thus shown in FIGS. 10 and following such an implementation variant of the invention.

This corkscrew is thus essentially consisting of a tubular body formed by two shells 2 ' identical, which are linked in translation by nipples 6 'which take place in corresponding holes of these shells. The two 2 'shells, once assembled, are threaded in a sheath 9 'in three parts 9'a, 9'b and 9'c, which maintains the assembly.

La rainure longitudinale 8' est destinée à assurer le guidage à l'intérieur des coquilles d'un tiroir mobile 10'.The two shells 2 'are hollowed out with a groove central and longitudinal 8 'narrow width which ends at its base with a transverse groove 8'a. The longitudinal groove 8 'is intended to provide guidance inside the shells of a movable drawer 10 '.

This drawer 10 'is essentially made up of three elements of overall cylindrical shape, namely a upper head 12 ', a central sleeve 13 and a nut lower 14 '.

The head 12 'is formed by an upper part cylindrical with the same diameter as the inside of the 2 'shells on which are arranged two nipples of diametrically opposed radial guides 60, intended to be move respectively in the longitudinal grooves 8 'of the shells 2'. This part extends downwards by a cylindrical portion 62 of smaller diameter, is ending with a shoulder separated into four stops radial 64 diametrically opposed by four grooves longitudinal 63. As shown in FIG. 13, the portion 62 is hollowed out with an axial cylindrical cavity in which is embedded a ball bearing 66 which maintains the rotation of an axis 65 which is secured to the wick 22 'of the corkscrew.

The middle sleeve 13 consists of an element cylindrical tubular which ends at its part lower by a circular boss 67. The latter is provided with two diametrically opposed radial nipples 68 intended to move in the respective grooves 8 'and 8 'has 2' shells. The upper part of the socket 13 is provided with four internal radial stops 69 arranged at 90 degrees whose width is slightly lower than that of the longitudinal grooves 63. These stops are arranged so that their two axes diametral uu 'form an angle α, close to 45 °, with the diametrical axis of the nipples 68, as shown in the figure 12. The upper part of the socket 13 is provided with four longitudinal grooves 72 which extend substantially over half the height of the socket 13 and which are intended to give this part upper part of the socket, and in particular to that comprising the stops 69, a certain elasticity. This elasticity is intended to allow the stops 64 arranged at the base from the head 12 'to penetrate inside the socket 13 pushing back the stops 69 so as to ensure the securing in translation of the head 12 ′ and of the socket 13 while allowing freedom in rotation of these two parts, as will be explained below.

The nut 14 'includes an upper part cylindrical 74, a base 76 of larger diameter, and two diametrically opposed nipples 78, intended to be move, during the operation of the corkscrew, in groove 8 '. The inside of the nut 14 ', which is not shown or described below, is identical to the nut used in the previous embodiment and is intended to receive the wick 22 'and to ensure the rotation of this when a relative longitudinal displacement occurs product between head 12 'and nut 14'. The 14 'nut is intended to take place in the base of the socket 13. A this effect it has a double groove namely a transverse groove 80 and a longitudinal groove 82 intended to allow access from the stud 78 to the groove transverse 80. Elastic means consisting of a torsion spring 79, as well as shown in Figure 10, to separate the stud 68 from the nipple 78. This is why as soon as the nut 14 'is put in place in the socket 13 the nipples will have the positioning relative angular shown in figure 10.

As well as in the mode of implementation previous, this device includes a command 34 'to inhibit the means of unlocking existing between the head 12 'and the nut 14'. This control member 34 'consists of a washer 84 which is provided with longitudinal legs 86 which extend upwards and ending at the top by an inclined face 88 of about 45 ° relative to the axis longitudinal yy 'of the corkscrew. Between the shells 2 ' and the control member 34 ', is arranged a spring of compression 90 which, in the rest position, moves it away nipples 68. Means for guiding this member of 34 'controls are provided, which allow it when moves up, against the force of the spring 90, to come into contact, by its inclined faces 88, with the nipples 68 and push them back angularly for them bring along the axis yy 'of the corkscrew.

As in the previous embodiment, the base of the present device includes guide means 40 'intended to ensure the centering of the assembly on the neck 3 of a bottle.

Under these conditions, the functioning of the present corkscrew is established as described below.

Une telle action correspond à la phase d'actionnement représentée sur la figure schématique 1a.In the rest position, i.e. when no stress is exerted on the corkscrew, the 12 'head is in place in the socket 13 and the entire drawer 10 'is in the low position, so that the drill bit 22' protrudes under the drawer 10 '. Nipples 78 of the nut 14 'are in place in their vertical grooves respective 8 '. The torsion spring 79 exerting a relative torque between the 14 'nut and the socket 13 tending to separate the nipples 78 and 68, the latter are respectively found in the background of transverse grooves 8'a. Under these conditions, as well as can be seen in Figure 10, the stops 69 are are superimposed, on the same longitudinal axis, on the grooves 63, so that an upward pull by the gripping element 7 'on the head 12' will have for effect of detaching it from the socket 13 and thus to reassemble the latter in the upper part of the corkscrew. Such an action corresponds to the phase actuation shown in schematic figure 1a.

Then apply the base of the corkscrew to the neck 3 of the bottle, so that the control member 34 'moves upwards, against the force of compression opposed by the spring 90, and that its sides inclined 88 angularly push the nipple 68 towards the longitudinal axis yy 'of the corkscrew, which has effect of rotating the socket 13 and bringing its stops 69 facing the stops 64 of the head 12 '. We push back then down the head 12 'with a force F'1, as well as shown in Figure 1b, and, during this downward movement of the head 12 ', the drill bit 22' is screws into nut 14 which gives it a rotational movement which has the effect of pushing it into the plug 5. At the bottom of the stroke, the stops 64 of the head 12 'and the stops 69 of the sleeve 13 come in contact with each other and if we continue to exert a downward force, the sleeve deforms into because of the elasticity conferred on it by vertical grooves 72 and, a snap is caused, causing a recognizable click indicating to user that the race to the bottom is over.

In this position, the element 34 'continues to exert on the nipple 68 an effort tending to maintain it along the yy 'axis of the corkscrew, so that the stops 64 of the head and the stops 64 of the socket remain in taken, so that the head 12 'and the socket 13 remain united in translation.

We then exercise, as shown in the schematic figure 1c, an upward vertical force F'2 on the head 12 'which, due to the connection of the head 12 'and socket 13, has the effect of lifting the entire drawer 10 so that the wick 22 'remains motionless and that, under these conditions, the cap 5 of the neck of the bottle 3.

Once the cork 5 has been removed, the corkscrew is removed from the neck of the bottle, so that in these conditions, the control member 34 'returns to its position lower where it is inoperative. We then exercise on the head 12 'a vertical effort from top to bottom, as well as shown in Figure 1d, which has the effect of lower the entire drawer 10 and, when it arrives at the bottom, element 34 'being inoperative, the torsion spring 79 then urges the nipples 68 to bring them back to the bottom of the grooves respective transverse 8'a, which causes a rotation of the socket 13 approximately 45 degrees. it returns to its angular position shown on the Figure 10 and, under these conditions, the stops 69 are face grooves 63, so that any action upwards exerted on the head 12 ′ has the effect of detach it from the socket 13. During this movement, as shown in Figure 1e, the passage of the drill bit 22 'in the nut 14' has the effect to apply a rotational movement to it causing its separation from the plug 5. It then suffices to bring the 12 'head down so that the corkscrew is again in the starting position.

Such an implementation is partially interesting in that it allows a construction with simple parts obtained almost entirely by molding, this which makes them particularly interesting in terms of cost price.
