Description

The invention relates to a headlight for vehicles with an intermediate a cup-shaped diaphragm arranged on a reflector and a lens, which are both used to shield directly from a light source Light rays as well as covering the light source and its bottom is a lid connected to its peripheral side wall, and with at least one support element, which the cup-shaped panel with the Reflector connects.

Such a headlight for vehicles is known from DE 195 14 085 A1. The headlight has a pot-shaped housing made of plastic on, which is closed on its front by a lens. Inside the housing is a bowl-shaped plastic Arranged reflector. There is an opening in the apex area of the reflector introduced to accommodate a light bulb. The light bulb dips with hers Glass flask into a cup-shaped cover. As the bottom of the cup-shaped A cover serves as a cover, which is integral with the peripheral side wall of the panel is connected. The lid borders its outer edge section to the outer facing the lens Edge of the side wall. The cover is made of sheet metal and consists of practice mostly made of sheet steel, so that the aperture of the high Withstands heat from the light bulb. The cup-shaped aperture is connected to the reflector via three arm-shaped support elements. The Side wall of the panel is punched out of sheet metal and into a hollow body rolled and has a seam through blunt edges is formed. The disadvantage here is that with an optics-free lens Interior of the headlamp due to the cover made of sheet steel appears inhomogeneous. With a cover made of sheet steel and on the outside is chrome-plated, the chrome plating runs at a high Colored heat load.

In those known from DE 197 53 973 A1 and DE 196 54 225 A1 The headlights can be made of a different material than the headlights Sidewall of the panel can be made, however, is the outer edge portion the circumferential side wall of the cup-shaped screen from the outside disturbing visible.

The object of the invention is that in the preamble of claim 1 described headlights to improve so that the entire Outside of the cup-shaped bezel from a bare surface having and easily deformable sheet metal is intended for the cup-shaped panel given a high heat load and dimensional stability is. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cup-shaped aperture all the way to its outer free edge has extending double-walled side wall and her as the bottom serving cover and the outer wall part of the side wall from the same Made of sheet metal. This can cover the entire outside of the bezel from one Be formed sheet, which after its shaping a smooth outside has to contribute to the dimensional stability of the cup-shaped aperture and with the persistent tarnish on the smooth outside of the panel occur at temperatures that are higher than with chrome Sheet steel. A particularly suitable sheet for the panel Light metal sheet with a silver colored shiny surface, which as Outside serves for the bezel. The light metal sheet is made advantageously made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, the silver-colored shiny surface is protected by a film. The shiny surface forms the outside of the cup-shaped cover. To the shaping of the outer wall part and the bottom of the panel is only the Slide removed. As a result, the outside of the panel cannot be molded to be damaged.

A very deep design of the cup-shaped cover is possible if the outer and inner circumferential wall part of the side wall each have a seam has, which from the outer edge facing the reflector up to runs the outer edge facing the lens. Here the outer wall part is not deep-drawn, but can be rolled. At the Deep drawing is created on the outside of the outer wall part undesirable matt surface. By rolling, the smooth surface remains of the outer wall part even if the circumferential side wall the cup-shaped aperture is almost cylindrical. The aperture builds on one cylindrical shape very small. This allows the optically effective Reflection area of the reflector in the area of its apex as large as possible fail. The form stability of the panel is particularly great when the inner and outer wall part is frustoconical. The aperture points from the outside a homogeneous appearance when the inner and outer Wall part has a common edge. Only the inner wall part of the side wall for shading directly from the light source emerging light rays. In this context, it is advantageous if the inner wall part is made of sheet steel and a matt inner surface having. The matt inner surface can be formed by a black paint his. This ensures high light absorption and therefore none disturbing light rays arise from reflection within the aperture. For The cover is given a high level of shape stability, since it is made of sheet steel is made. When using a lamp whose glass bulb is exposed End has a blackened cap, the bottom of the panel does not have to be double-walled because the cap comes directly from the light source shields emerging light rays from the ground.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if the support element of the panel is double-walled is executed and each part of the support element to one of the seam bounding edges of the inner wall part is integrally connected, wherein the support member through a slot of the outer wall part passes through and the slot is only open to the side of the reflector. The outer wall part is with sections of its outer edges by small Impressions firmly connected to the inner wall part.
