Abstract

In einer Waschmaschine wird bekanntermaßen am Meßort eines optischen Trübungssensors 5, 6 die Trübung einer Spülflüssigkeit 7 gemessen und der weitere Spülprozeß anhand des gemessenen Trübungswertes von einer Programmsteuereinrichtung festgelegt. Zur verbesserten Überwachung und Steuerung des Spülprozesses wird der Trübungssensor 5, 6 außerdem zur Schaumerkennung verwendet, wenn sich keine Spülflüssigkeit 7 an seinem Meßort befindet. Wenn Schaum 8 am Meßort des Trübungssensors 5, 6 erkannt wird, können beispielsweise weitere Spülgange vorgesehen werden. In einem solchen Fall kann auch der Spülprozeß intensiviert oder können die Schaumbildung fördernde Einflüsse ausgeschaltet oder verringert werden.
