Abstract
Description
Dans le cadre de la pratique industrielle des procédés de refroidissement du type HOWAQ, on a cependant relevé deux éléments qui en limitent les possibilités d'application industrielle.
Claims (12)
- Procédé de refroidissement en continu d'une tôle (1) en acier en défilement continu dont la température est comprise entre 680 °C et 850 °C, caractérisé en ce qu'on refroidit la tôle (1) en la faisant passer dans une cuve (4) contenant un bain d'eau (5) maintenu à une température supérieure à 95 % de sa température d'ébullition exprimée en °C, en ce qu'on applique à la tôle (1) une seconde opération de refroidissement distincte de la première et qui prend place dans la phase finale de la première, en ce qu'on utilise pour cette seconde opération de refroidissement un dispositif de refroidissement distinct (9), appelé ci-après boíte de refroidissement, en ce qu'on fait passer la tôle (1) dans la boíte de refroidissement (9), en ce qu'on construit ladite boíte de refroidissement (9) et en ce qu'on la dispose dans la cuve (4) de telle sorte que la tôle (1) entre dans ladite boíte de refroidissement (9) en un point situé sous le niveau (10) de l'eau (5) dans la cuve (4) et en ce qu'on projette un fluide vers la tôle (1) lors de son passage à l'intérieur de ladite boíte de refroidissement (9).
- Procédé de refroidissement suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'on déplace verticalement la boíte de refroidissement (9) de manière à réduire à une valeur minimale la différence entre les niveaux de liquide de refroidissement respectivement (10) dans la cuve (4) et (11) dans la boíte de refroidissement (9).
- Procédé de refroidissement suivant les revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce qu'on projette dans la boíte de refroidissement (9) vers la tôle (1) un fluide dont la température est comprise entre 20 et 100 °C.
- Procédé suivant l'une ou l'autre des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce qu'on utilise de l'eau comme fluide projeté dans la boíte de refroidissement (9).
- Procédé suivant une ou plusieurs des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce qu'on fait varier la température de la tôle (1) en acier à l'entrée de la boíte de refroidissement (9) en modifiant le temps d'immersion de ladite tôle (1) dans l'eau (5) de la cuve (4) avant qu'elle ne pénètre dans la boíte de refroidissement (9).
- Procédé suivant la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce qu'on module le temps d'immersion de la tôle (1) dans l'eau (5) de la cuve (4) au cours du premier refroidissement en déplaçant verticalement le berceau (7) supportant les rouleaux (6) de renvoi de fond pour modifier la longueur du chemin parcouru par ladite tôle (1) dans la cuve (4).
- Dispositif de refroidissement pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé de refroidissement en continu d'une tôle (1) en acier en défilement continu suivant une ou plusieurs des revendications 1 à 6, comprenant une cuve (4) remplie d'eau (5) à une température supérieure à 95 % de sa température d'ébullition exprimée en °C dans laquelle la tôle (1) plonge puis remonte après passage sur des rouleaux (6) de renvoi de fond, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un moyen de refroidissement (9), appelé boíte de refroidissement, disposé sur le chemin suivi par la tôle (1) de telle sorte que celle-ci entre dans la boíte de refroidissement (9) en-dessous de la surface libre (10) de l'eau (5) dans la cuve (4).
- Dispositif suivant la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que la boíte de refroidissement (9) est un caisson alimenté en fluide sous pression et pourvu d'éléments pour projeter un fluide vers la tôle (1).
- Dispositif suivant la revendication 8, caractérisé en ce que la boíte de refroidissement (9) comporte des éléments pour projeter un fluide en une densité comprise entre 400 et 2.000 éléments par m2 de surface active en projection.
- Dispositif suivant une ou plusieurs des revendications 7 à 9, caractérisé en ce que la boíte de refroidissement (9) est pourvue de moyens (12) et (13) destinés tant à limiter la fuite vers la cuve (4) du fluide projeté vers la tôle (1) à l'intérieur de la boíte de refroidissement (9) que d'empêcher l'entrée de l'eau de la cuve (4) dans la boíte de refroidissement (9).
- Dispositif suivant une ou plusieurs des revendications 7 à 10, caractérisé en ce que le circuit alimentant la boíte de refroidissement (9) comporte des systèmes aptes à réguler les conditions de travail du fluide projeté.
- Dispositif suivant une ou plusieurs des revendications 7 à 11, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un berceau (7) qui supporte les rouleaux (6) de renvoi de fond et qui est déplaçable verticalement, en ce que des sas (3) et (8) sont disposés respectivement à l'entrée et à la sortie de la tôle (1) en acier respectivement dans et hors de l'enceinte comprenant la cuve (4) afin d'isoler l'enceinte contenant la cuve (4) par rapport aux atmosphères régnant dans les enceintes respectivement (2) dont est originaire la tôle (1) et (14) vers laquelle elle se dirige après refroidissement.
