- a load change that is, one Delay or advance of the photo paper relative to the drive device strong forces act on the photographic material so that it can be damaged or can even tear.
- Particularly strong load changes occur when transporting photo material through photo processing machines especially in the wet area, also due to the comparatively long transport route of the photo material.
- it is in the photo material around photo paper, but generally relates to the present invention not only the transport of photo paper, but also the transport of others Photographic materials such as Films (positive or negative films), e.g. for film processing, -development or film screening.
- the transported photo material lies in particular in the form of a tape and is also referred to herein as a photo material tape.
- Photo paper is passed through a series of rollers in a photo developing machine a path that leads the photo paper through a wet area and a dryer leads.
- a demand drive is usually realized by a resilient roller body, which consists of a inner and an outer roller body, between which a spring element is provided. This spring element makes contact between the inner and outer roller body and exerts a spring force between the two bodies, if they are rotated relative to each other, what with a delay or a Leading the photo paper is the case that is in sticking contact with the outer reel body is.
- the spring-loaded double roller bodies are driven by a shaft that with a so-called leader band is in a fixed drive connection.
- This leader band is used to thread the photo paper tape into the photo developing machine and gives the transport speed of the photo material or photo material tape.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a photographic material drive device according to the Preamble of claim 1, a photographic material transport device with the invention Drive device and a photo developing machine with the invention Photographic material transport device.
Conventional drive devices for photographic material typically engage in one Perforation of the photo material to drive or make a contact connection between a role and the photographic material based on the principle of static friction is based in order to drive the photo material. In the event of a load change, that is, one Delay or advance of the photo paper relative to the drive device strong forces act on the photographic material so that it can be damaged or can even tear.
Particularly strong load changes occur when transporting photo material through photo processing machines especially in the wet area, also due to the comparatively long transport route of the photo material. In this case it is in the photo material around photo paper, but generally relates to the present invention not only the transport of photo paper, but also the transport of others Photographic materials such as Films (positive or negative films), e.g. for film processing, -development or film screening. The transported photo material lies in particular in the form of a tape and is also referred to herein as a photo material tape.
Photo paper is passed through a series of rollers in a photo developing machine a path that leads the photo paper through a wet area and a dryer leads.
If you see a conveyor as the only drive at the outlet of the photo processing machine, such as a pulling device or a winding device in front of the photographic material pulling through the photo developing machine, so enormous forces are Funding required, which then provoke tearing of the photo material. For this The reason is the roles over which the photo material through the photo developing machine is carried out not only as passive idler roles, but as active drive rollers. But also occur between the individual drive rollers State of the art leading and retarding the photo paper relative to the Drive rollers on, causing tearing of the photographic material or damage to the photographic material can result.
For the reasons mentioned above, so-called "demand" drives were used in the prior art or drive rollers are provided which drive when the photographic material is too is slow and, if it is too fast, delay the fluctuations in speed counteracting when transporting the photo paper. A demand drive is usually realized by a resilient roller body, which consists of a inner and an outer roller body, between which a spring element is provided. This spring element makes contact between the inner and outer roller body and exerts a spring force between the two bodies, if they are rotated relative to each other, what with a delay or a Leading the photo paper is the case that is in sticking contact with the outer reel body is.
The spring-loaded double roller bodies are driven by a shaft that with a so-called leader band is in a fixed drive connection. This leader band is used to thread the photo paper tape into the photo developing machine and gives the transport speed of the photo material or photo material tape. By the fixed drive connection of the spring-loaded double roller body with the leader belt and the static friction contact between the outer roller body and the photo material tape apart from speed fluctuations, the photo material conveyed at the specified transport speed.
Delays the photo material tape compared to the outer reel body, so it will Spring element brought out of its rest position (stretched or compressed) and one Increased driving force acts on the photo material band until it is the specified one again Has reached transport speed. Hurries the photo material tape of the transport speed ahead, the outer roller body decelerates via the effect of the spring element the photo material tape.
The object of the invention is to provide a new drive device that is wear-free works, counteracts the development of speed fluctuations and protects the transported photo material. A corresponding photographic material transport device is also intended and a photo developing machine with such Drive device are created.
Vorteilhafte
Weiterbildungen gehen aus den Unteransprüchen hervor. The object is solved by the subjects of
The drive device according to the invention is used to transport photo material, that is especially photo paper or films along a transport path that is particularly can be in a photo developing machine. A transport path can e.g. several drive rollers, idler rollers and / or guides for photo material include. The transport path can e.g. through wet and / or dry areas Lead photo developing machine. The drive device has for driving the photographic material a rotationally symmetrical body that rotates around its axis and is called drive rotor in the following. The rotating surface (also "drive surface" or "contact area") contacts the photographic material to pass through the contact to transfer a driving force to the photographic material and the transport speed maintain the photographic material or keep it constant.
According to the invention, the contact is such that the relative speed between the photographic material and the surface of the drive rotor is not equal to zero. The contact between the photo material and the drive rotor e.g. magnetic, electrostatic or mechanical in nature. The drive device becomes in a photo developing machine used, the contact is preferably mechanical in nature. If the contact is of a mechanical nature, sliding friction forces act between them the surface of the drive rotor and the photographic material, the driving force of the Transfer the rotor to the photo material. Due to the higher speed of the Surface of the drive rotor compared to the transport speed of the photographic material therefore no static friction forces.
Preferably, the peripheral speed of the rotating surface of the drive rotor constantly or at least predominantly constantly above the transport speed of the photographic material held to an adhesive contact between the Prevent photo material and the rotating surface.
The applicant has found in experiments that the speed is somewhat higher the rotating surface is sufficient (e.g. 1% faster), the drive device but also works when the speed is much higher. Will be beneficial thus a circumferential speed for the drive rotors predetermined, which over the practically used transport speeds, so that when the transport speed changes no adjustment of the within the practically used range Peripheral speed of the drive rotors is required. Will the peripheral speed of the drive rotor or the drive rotors to the transport speed aligned so that the paper sticks to the roll, e.g. through static friction provoked, the photo material may tear.
In contrast to the prior art (resilient double roller body), if desired, the individual drive rotors driven by their own separate drives be so that the peripheral speed in each case above the transport speed lies. If several drive rotors are provided, all of them should only run faster than the transport speed, but the speed of all drive rotors does not have to be the same as each other. This eliminates the need for complex mechanics, which couples all the drive rotors to one another at the same drive speed to ensure. In contrast, all double roller bodies in the State of the art coupled by the leader band so as to have the same rotational speed to secure. This can also be the case with the device according to the invention be the case, in contrast to the prior art, this is not necessarily the case required.
In practice, it has been shown that the photo material runs much more smoothly takes place along the transport path and much lower speed fluctuations occur than in the prior art. Therefore and due to the completely new drive principle According to the invention, double roller bodies with a spring element can be dispensed with. The peripheral speed of the rotating is thus advantageous according to the invention Surface at least kept essentially constant, even if Fluctuations in the transport speed of the photo material tape occur should. A compensating effect due to fluctuating peripheral speed as with the double roller bodies is not required according to the invention. This simplifies the Construction of the drive rotor, in particular it can be essentially rigid and / or made Solid material are formed and can therefore have a significantly longer life reach than the double roller body.
In the prior art, the drive rollers were given a spherical shape or they were provided with a centrally located, rotationally symmetrical bulge, to thereby center the material. According to the invention such a spherical shape is not required. The drive surface that is in contact with the photographic material can be of various shapes, e.g. crowned or outward conically thickening or tapering, but preferably it is cylindrical. The log in has found that in the cylindrical configuration according to the invention Form centering forces that hold the photo material tape at a predetermined point. In order to ensure this centering, the cylindrical drive surface is preferred wider than the photo material band, so that even with an inclination or Offset of the photo material tape in relation to the drive rotor, e.g. in the event of a malfunction of the photo material run, also a contact between the photo material tape and the drive rotor is given until finally through the contact and the deal training forces moved the photo material band back into the starting position.
In order to reduce the risk of an adhesive contact or to reduce the proportion of an adhesive contact compared to the sliding or slipping contact as small as possible hold, the drive contact area is preferably made as small as possible. As possible Small means significantly smaller than the potential contact surface with which a photo material tape can hang up on the drive rotor during transport, preferably smaller than 50% of the potential contact area and particularly preferably less than 10%.
In order to reduce the drive contact area, contact areas are created using elevations or recesses are provided on the surface of the drive rotor, so that only the elevations form the contact surface or no drive contact in the recesses takes place. The recesses can e.g. be circular or rectangular and form a perforated pattern, but basically any design is possible. In particular, the elevations can be arranged at predetermined intervals his.
The contact areas are preferably designed in the form of a ring or a web, wherein particularly preferably the webs are rotationally symmetrical about the axis of the drive rotor run. The contact areas, e.g. the webs in predetermined Intervals may be provided. Also, the webs do not necessarily have to be one be provided throughout, but preferably run continuously. Finally, the contact areas can also be arranged so that they are the photo material tape only touched at certain points, e.g. only in the edge area, or so be formed that the contact areas certain areas on the photographic material do not touch, e.g. the image area. In the case of a film transport, the contact areas e.g. only outside the film frame, e.g. in the area of the perforation to protect the film image.
The contact areas are preferably designed to be smooth in order to ensure adhesion or static friction to prevent as far as possible. Experiments with photo paper have shown that that a material is preferred that is smoother than rubber or a coefficient of friction provides, such as polypropylene or PVC.
In addition to the above-mentioned drive rotors, the drive device according to the invention has preferably also guide rollers that are transported with the Turn the photo material along and preferably do not have your own drive. The Guide rollers have a contact surface, which has an adhesive contact or Establishes static friction contact with the photo paper. The width of the contact area is preferably narrower than the photo material tape. A preferred width range is for a photo paper tape to be transported with a width of more than 87 mm at 30mm to 80 mm. The applicant has found that in this way and A way of guiding the photo material tape is achieved, that is, the photo material tape adjusts itself so that it protrudes on both sides beyond the contact surface. The guide rollers are preferably cylindrical, but they can also e.g. of spherical, tapered or flared shape his.
Of course, the drive device can be electronic control devices to control the rotational speed of the drive rotors and / or to monitor (with sensors). The transport speed can also be adjusted a control device can be controlled, regulated and / or (with sensors) monitored. The control device can also control the transport speed with the peripheral speed compare the contact area of the drive rotors and so for that ensure that the individual drive rotors faster than the transport speed to run.
According to the invention, the drive device according to the invention is advantageous for one Photographic material transport device used. This transport device has one Conveyor device that specifies the transport speed for the photo paper. For this purpose, the photo paper with the transport speed of the drive device is preferred fed and / or led out of this. With this photo material transport device photo material is delivered in particular from a photo material source and then transported by the drive device and finally the transported Photographic material taken through a photographic material sink. The photographic material will advantageously by means of a photo material delivery device or a photo material threading device, which serve as a conveyor with the specified transport speed fed to the drive device and / or at the outlet of the transport path is the photo material at the specified transport speed by a The outlet transport device (e.g. Pacer), which serves as a conveyor, is transported further or pulled out to convey it to a photographic material sink. A For example, photographic material sources can a photo material spool or an outlet of a further photo material transport path. A photo material sink can also be a Be a spool that winds up photo material or e.g. a subsequent additional photo material transport path.
The conveyor specifies the transport speed against which the Circumferential speed of the drive rotors is increased according to the invention.
The photo material delivery device brings with a predetermined transport speed the photographic material in contact with a first drive rotor of the drive device, so that the photo material then through guides, further drive rotors or Guide rollers along the transport path at the specified transport speed is promoted. With a threading device, the photo material is moved along an initial transport path section or the entire transport path the threading device is pulled at the specified transport speed, where, of course, the peripheral speed of the drive rotors is higher.
In the prior art, a so-called leader tape path is used for threading. Here is a belt that runs along the transport path. For threading the front end of the photo material tape is clamped with the leader tape so that the leader tape pulls the photo material tape through the transport path and leads. This pulling is supported according to the invention by the drive rotors to prevent tearing of the photo material tape. According to the invention is in particular the leader belt drive is decoupled from the drive for the drive rotors in order to to ensure desired different speed. According to the invention especially in contrast to the prior art on a further circulation of the Leader band paths can be omitted after threading. The circulation of the leader tape can thus be stopped and switched off. The invention can also Leader band can be made shorter. So it is enough for the leader band to make contact with the first drive rotor (also called drive roller herein) or some of the produces the first, and then runs back again. By the drive rotors and The photo material strip is then guided further, in particular to further drive rotors promoted. A completely different threading device can also be provided e.g. the front end due to air currents, negative and / or positive pressure of the photo material tape to the transport thread and in contact with the first Drive rotor or with the first drive rotors (e.g. by blowing and / or Suction).
A so-called pacer is usually provided as the outlet transport device Winding spool is upstream and the photo material tape with the predetermined Transport speed along the transport path. After threading the photo material tape advantageous to the outlet transport device or the pacer Hand on further transport.
According to the invention, the transport speed of the conveyor device can e.g. simply by changing the photo material delivery speed or threading speed or the transport speed of the outlet transport device is changed be, however, it must be ensured that the peripheral speed of the Drive rotors remain higher than the transport speed.
According to the invention, the photographic material transport device is preferably in one Photo developing machine used that develops photo paper. It is preferred the guide rollers with the front or picture side of the photo paper in Contacted, whereas the drive rotors with the back of the photo paper be brought into contact in order to protect the image side of the photo paper as much as possible. Alternatively or additionally, however, as already noted above, the Contact areas on the drive rotors can be selected so that they face the front touch the photo paper, but not the image area.
The drive device according to the invention has a long service life and is in the In contrast to the prior art, it is not very susceptible to faults. Therefore, preferably Drive device in contrast to the prior art in the entire photo processing machine and not only used in wet areas. This can cover the entire Paper developing machine before the transport of the photo material be taken.
