Description

The present invention relates to a system for attaching a shoe to a sporting article, in particular a sliding sport such as cross-country skiing, ski hiking (touring), telemark, ice skating or roller skating.

In traditional fastening systems used in cross-country skiing from the shoe to the sporting article is usually done at the front of it by means of a hinge-type connection allowing the shoe to be deflected by compared to the sporting article, that is to say, raising the heel.

He is also known in ice skating or on wheels to have an articulated connection of the shoe on the sports article, which allows to extend the stride and to increase the speed.

Such linkage systems have proved their worth. However, they present the disadvantage that the sole of the shoe must be both rigid in the direction of torsionally and torsionally yet flexible enough to allow, in the possible, a natural development of the foot.

These requirements being contradictory and difficult to reconcile on the same element, the control and guidance of the ski are not always ensured optimally.

On the other hand, the shoes of such systems generally comprise an axis transverse placed at the front end of the sole that can interfere when walking to foot.

Similar problems arise in other areas, including the skating.

By WO 96/23558, on which the preamble of claim 1 is based, it has been proposed to bind the front part of the shoe, up to the so-called metatarsophalangeal joint area, via an element elastic anchored at one end to the binding and which clings by its free end in the sole of the shoe, at the rear of said zone. This elastic element provides the shoe with the characteristics of transverse and torsional stiffness desired and at the same time exerts a constant booster effort of said shoe to the sport article. This results in improved control and guidance of the article of sport.

However, this elastic element is subjected to considerable fatigue and wear because of repeated flexing of the foot during the practice of the sport, so that the characteristics of rigidity and elastic return mentioned above evolve in the weather.

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to propose an improved fixing device, reconciling the problems of heel lift footwear, torsional control and fatigue of materials.

This goal is achieved in a fastening device attached to a sports article for attaching a shoe comprising a sole, the device comprising abutment means for to cooperate with the front end of the shoe, comprising means elastic hooking devices intended to cooperate with hooking means associated soleplate disposed rearward of the front end of the soleplate, and wherein said resilient attachment means is for exercising on said sole a tensile force towards said abutment means, in that the elastic coupling means are anchored on the fixing device by articulated anchoring means arranged behind the stop means.

By this construction, the flexural stress of the means is greatly reduced. which are therefore less subject to fatigue wear, and on the other hand exert efforts of traction and elastic return more constant.

The fact that the anchoring of elastic attachment means is constituted by a joint allows to totally exonerate any energy related to bending.

According to a preferred embodiment, the means for anchoring the means snap hooks are movable in the longitudinal direction against elastic means. By this construction it is ensured that the elasticity of return during bending of the shoe will be provided preferably by the compression of elastic means rather than by the flexing of the attachment means. The elasticity of reminder will therefore be better controllable.

In any case, the invention will be better understood and other characteristics thereof will be highlighted with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the attached diagrammatic drawings, showing, by way of nonlimiting example, several preferred embodiments and wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a fixing device according to the invention during operation,
  • FIG. 2 is a partial longitudinal sectional view of the fastening device of FIG. 1 in the stowed position,
  • FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2 in the closed position, in the rest state of the boot,
  • FIG. 4 is a view similar to FIG. 3 in the raised state of the shoe,
  • FIG. 5 is a partial sectional view of the lower part of the shoe,
  • Figure 6 is a schematic view of another embodiment during closure of the fastener.

La figure 1 montre l'application du système de liaison selon l'invention à la liaison à un ski 1 d'une chaussure de ski de fond 10, cette liaison s'effectuant par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif de fixation 20 et d'une nervure de guidage 70.FIG. 1 shows the application of the connection system according to the invention to the connection to a ski 1 of a cross-country ski boot 10, this connection being made by via a fixing device 20 and a guide rib 70.

As shown in FIG. 5, the boot 10 comprises a sole 11, provided with the front end of a wide peripheral rim 12 defining, at its junction with the stem of the shoe, a throat 13, and having the entire length of its face lower a middle longitudinal groove 14. At its front end, the sole 11 back in rounded with a slight curvature 11a in the manner of the shoes of mountain classics. The curvature 11a is intended to facilitate the unfolding of the shoe as we will see later.

An insert 15 is also fixed, for example by screws 16 or by overmoulding, at the bottom of the groove 14, in an area substantially corresponding to the metatarsophalangeal joint area. This insert 15 defines a hook 17 oriented rearward.

All these elements of the shoe are intended to cooperate with the device of fixation 20 as will be seen later.

As shown in FIG. 2, the fixing device 20 consists of a base 21 fixed on the ski 1 by screws 22 and on which is articulated a locking lever 30, via an axis 31. The locking lever 30 is also connected to the base 21 by two lateral links 32, articulated on the one hand, 33 on said lever 30, and secondly, by a transverse axis 34 sliding in lights 23 side of the base.

The lever assembly 30-links 32 form a toggle system whose line of Neutral is defined by the axes 31 and 34.

Thus, when the lever 30 is lowered into the closed position shown in FIG. 3 and 4, the hinge pins 33 of the links 32 to the lever pass below said neutral line and the equilibrium position is stable. The toggle system requires some effort to pass the axes 33 on either side of the line of neutral and ensures that the lever will not open unexpectedly.

Ce coulisseau 35 reçoit un ressort de compression 38.On the transverse axis 34 is also mounted a slider 35 substantially in clevis shape and having two longitudinal walls 36 and a bottom wall 37. This slider 35 receives a compression spring 38.

The spring 38 is held between the bottom 37 of the slider, which has a protrusion 37a for this purpose, and the front end 41 of a carriage 40. The carriage 40 is mounted sliding in the base 20 which comprises for this purpose a guide rail 25 opening laterally on the sides of the base 20. On the rear end 42 of the trolley 40 is hinged an elastic attachment thread 50 intended to cooperate with the hook 17 of the shoe.

The elastic attachment thread 50 has substantially the shape of a U and comprises a transverse branch 52 intended to cooperate with the hook 17 and two branches lateral 51 whose curved ends 53 are articulated on the carriage 40.

The fixing device also comprises front stop means constituted in this case by a stirrup 60 having a horizontal branch 61 in arcuate shape matching the shape of the throat 13 of the sole of the shoe and intended to receive the latter and two lateral branches 62, substantially vertical and articulated by their ends 63, on the base 20. The stirrup 60 is disposed at the front of the elastic attachment thread 50 and can therefore pivot around its ends 63.

Of course, other forms can be envisaged for the stirrup according to the shape of the sole.

It can also be expected that the stirrup does not cooperate with a groove 13 of the sole but simply with the upper surface of the peripheral flange 12.

Finally, the fixing device comprises a guide rib 70 whose section cross-section corresponds to that of the groove 14 of the boot and whose end before 71 adjusts to the rear portion of the base 20 which also forms a rib guidance.

The operation of the fastening system according to the invention is as follows. The shoe 10 is put in place in the fastening device by introduction of the front end of its sole in the stirrup 60 until the groove 13 comes into stop with the horizontal arm 61 of the stirrup (see Figure 2).

The locking of the shoe is then effected by lowering the lever 30 which has the effect of pulling forward the carriage 40 and thus the attachment thread 50 until that its branch 52 is housed in the bottom of the hook 17 (see Figure 3).

This closing movement is assisted by the spring 38 which tends to repel the trolley 40 forward. The spring 38 compensates also the wedges of possible snow forming in the sole of the shoe.

When skiing, the shoe whose heel remains free can flex in driving in its stroke the attachment wire 50 which both slides in the base 20 towards the rear by compressing the spring 38 via the carriage 40 and pivots upwards around its ends 53 (see Figure 4).

The spring 38 then provides the return energy of the shoe to the surface ski since it tends to relax and therefore bring back the hanging wire 50 forward.

The return energy is therefore not provided by an elastic deformation of the wire 50 who gets older so much better.

Moreover, this recall energy is completely defined since given by the compression of a compression spring 38 and is better controlled and controllable that if it was provided by bending a wire as in the prior art.

Moreover, the displacement, towards the rear with respect to the means of front stop 60, the anchor 53 of the spring wire provides a triangulation allowing a better maintaining the boot especially in transverse direction.

This triangulation and in particular the articulated anchoring of the attachment thread 50 by its ends 53, also allows greater deflection in bending of the shoe, which is sought for use cross-country skiing.

It will be noted that the articulated anchorage of the stirrup 60 on the base 20, combined with the shape rounded 11a of the front of the sole, allowing a slight pivoting thereof towards the front during a pivoting of the shoe, and thus allows to accompany the movement of the shoe at the end of the stride and therefore increase still the amplitude of the stride. In practice, an increase of the order of 10 to 15 ° of movement of the shoe at the end of the stride can be obtained thanks to the shape rounded 11a of the sole thereof at the front, which is particularly interesting.

Finally, the presence along the entire length of the shoe sole of the rib 70, which extends from the rear portion of the base 21 to the end front of the shoe, to control the progress of the shoe to the end of the movement, providing support and a stop in the direction cross.

As shown in particular in FIG. 1, the guide rib 70 is interrupted in the area of the metatarsals for the passage of the attachment wire 50 and the associated hook of the shoe.

The shapes of the guide edge are also designed to optimize the guiding the shoe.

In fact, this fastening system has the same locking elements, know front caliper 160 hinged 163, 150 hanging wire connected to a trolley 140, which is slidably mounted, is urged forward by a spring 138 and whose displacement in the longitudinal direction is controlled by a lever 130.

The essential difference lies in fact in the position of joints 131 and 134 lever 130 and links 132 which are located at the rear of the spring 138. The operation is otherwise identical.
