Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Anzeigeröhre (30) für Anzeigezwecke, insbesondere zum Einsatz in Lichtwerbeanlagen mit folgenden Schritten: In einem ersten Schritt wird ein mit einem Leuchtstoff beschlämmmtes Glasrohr manuell in eine beliebige Form (32) gebogen. In einem zweiten Schritt werden Wendelelektroden an den Enden (34) des verformten Glasrohrs eingschmolzen, wobei eine Wendelelektrode mit einem Pumpstutzen versehen ist. In einem dritten Schritt wird das Glasrohr durch externe Energiezuführung zur Oxidation störender Bestandteile der Anzeigeröhre und zur Unterstützung der Formierung der Wendelelektroden abwechselnd erhitzt und über den Pumpstutzen mit Spülgasen gespült. In einem nächsten Schritt wird das Glasrohr mit zumindest einem Gas oder einem Gasgemisch gefüllt, anschließend der Pumpstutzen vom Glasrohr abgeschmolzen und schließlich das Glasrohr eingebrannt. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine nach diesem Verfahren hergestellte Anzeigeröhre sowie ein System aus einem Vorschaltgerät und einer derartigen Anzeigeröhre. Sie umfaßt weiterhin ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer derartigen Anzeigeröhre (30).

The invention relates to a method for producing a display tube (30) for display purposes, in particular for use in illuminated advertising systems, comprising the following steps: In a first step, a glass tube coated with a phosphor is manually bent into any shape (32). In a second step, helix electrodes are melted at the ends (34) of the deformed glass tube, a helix electrode being provided with a pump nozzle. In a third step, the glass tube is alternately heated by external energy supply to oxidize disruptive components of the display tube and to support the formation of the spiral electrodes and is flushed with purge gases via the pump nozzle. In a next step, the glass tube is filled with at least one gas or a gas mixture, then the pump connector is melted off the glass tube and finally the glass tube is baked. The invention further relates to a display tube produced by this method and to a system comprising a ballast and such a display tube. It further comprises a method for operating such a display tube (30).
