  4. A steam iron according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the entry point of the steam line (13) into the housing (3) and the exit point of the connection line (7) are arranged on opposite sides of the housing (3).
  5. A steam iron according to Claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the entry point of the electrical cable (17) and the exit point of the electrical connection (4) are arranged on the side of the housing (3) opposite the exit point of the connection line (7).
  6. A steam iron according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the electrical cable (17), the control line (20) and the steam line (13) lead into the housing (3) in a common cord (2).
