  1. A method for loading a storage container (1), in particular an intermediate storage container, with spent fuel elements from nuclear power plants,
    wherein storage sleeves (6, 7) are respectively filled with at least one spent fuel element and the storage sleeves (6, 7) are respectively closed with a primary cover (9),
    wherein a series of storage sleeves (6, 7) are placed into the storage container (1) and the storage container (1) is closed with a storage container cover (5) that contains at least one manipulating aperture (12, 14),
    wherein the respective storage sleeves (6, 7) are successively raised in such a way that they extend through the manipulating aperture (12, 14) with their storage sleeve heads (13), and wherein a secondary cover (15) is respectively attached to the storage sleeve heads (13) that extend through the manipulating aperture.
  2. The method according to Claim 1, wherein the storage container cover (5) is incrementally turned by a respective angle α in the storage container opening such that the manipulating aperture (12) is respectively arranged above a storage sleeve (6), and wherein the respective storage sleeve (6) is subsequently guided through the manipulating aperture (12) with its storage sleeve head (13).
  3. The method according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the secondary cover (15) is welded to the storage sleeve head (13).
  4. The method according to one of Claims 1 - 3, wherein the manipulating aperture (12, 14) is closed with at least one shielding plug (18, 19) after attaching the secondary cover (15).
  5. A storage container, in particular intermediate storage container, for implementing the method according to one of Claims 1 - 4, comprising
    an outer storage container wall (2), a storage container interior (3), a storage container bottom (4) and a storage container cover (5),
    wherein the storage container interior (3) is designed for accommodating storage sleeves (6, 7) containing spent fuel elements,
    wherein the storage container cover (5) contains at least one manipulating aperture (12), the diameter of which is designed for guiding through the storage sleeve head (13) of a storage sleeve (6),
    wherein the storage container cover (5) is rotatably arranged on the outer storage container wall (2) and the manipulating aperture (12) can be respectively aligned above a storage sleeve head (13) by turning the storage container cover (5),
    and wherein the manipulating aperture (12) can be closed with at least one shielding plug (19).
  6. The storage container according to Claim 5, wherein the storage container cover (5) is rotatably arranged on the outer storage container wall (2) by means of a thread.
  7. The storage container according to Claim 5 or 6, wherein a storage container shielding plate is provided above the storage container cover (5).
