Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for loading a Storage container, in particular an intermediate storage container, with spent fuel elements from nuclear power plants.
- the invention further relates to a storage container for implementation of the procedure.
- - Spent fuel elements Nuclear power plants and their fuel rods must comply with regulations temporarily stored in appropriately shielded storage containers become.
- the burned down Fuel elements first transferred to intermediate storage containers and stored in an interim storage facility. Then be the fuel elements for final storage in a usually underground repository.
- the intermediate storage container is usually with a double lid arrangement equipped, the elaborate sealing devices having.
- the fuel elements are usually from the interim storage container reloaded into repository.
- complex shielding measures required. - If in As part of the known measures in the intermediate storage container set bearing bushes with additional sealing measures or sealing devices to be, these bearing bushes have to be complex Way be removed from the intermediate storage container, wherein complex shielding measures are also required are.
- the invention is the technical problem based on specifying a procedure in which simple Way the bearing bushes set in a storage container with fuel elements with a sealing closure can be without complex shielding measures required are.
- the invention also lies the technical problem underlying a storage container To indicate implementation of the procedure.
- the invention teaches a method for loading a storage container, in particular an intermediate storage container, with spent fuel elements from nuclear power plants, bearing bushes are each filled with at least one spent fuel element (as a whole or in the form of its fuel rods) and the bearing bushes are each closed with a primary cover, wherein a plurality of the bearing bushes is placed in the storage container and the storage container is closed with a storage container cover having at least one manipulation opening, wherein the bearing bushes are each raised one after the other in such a way that they grip through the manipulation opening with their bearing bush head, and in each case a secondary cover is fastened to the bearing bush head penetrating through the manipulation opening.
- an inner sleeve is set, which is convenient with the fuel elements or fuel rods are filled tightly.
- a plurality of such are preferably sealed with fuel rods filled inner sleeves placed in a bearing sleeve.
- the spent fuel is each bearing bush closed with a primary cover, which primary cover is preferably screwed into the bearing bush.
- between the primary cover and bearing sleeve casing at least one sealing element is arranged.
- the primary lid neutron moderating and / or radiation absorbing Components The primary cover takes over until the secondary cover is attached in particular a temporary sealing function and ensures also the mechanical retention of the content of the Bearing bush and preferably also the shielding from Gamma and neutron radiation.
- the Bearing bushes in the storage container preferably intermediate storage container, set.
- the storage container already be provided with a storage container lid and the Bearing bushes are inserted through the manipulation opening in the Storage containers introduced.
- the manipulation opening is at this embodiment simultaneously as a loading opening used.
- One or more circular Arrangements of bearing bushes can be provided. To close each bearing sleeve is preferably lifted individually, so that they only with their bearing head Manipulation opening in the storage container lid reaches through.
- the bearing bush head protrudes from the manipulation opening out and the secondary cover on the outstanding bearing head attached or preferably welded.
- the bearing bush head is in the manipulation opening without protruding through the manipulation opening the secondary cover as it were in the manipulation opening attached to the bearing bush head or preferably on the Bearing head welded on.
- the manipulation opening has other expediently the same cross section as one Bearing bush or a bearing bush head. If the bearing bushes cylindrical with a circular cross-section are preferably also the manipulation opening circular cross section. The opening diameter the manipulation opening is larger than that Diameter of the bearing bushes, but preferably only a little greater.
- the scope of the invention the storage container cover becomes particularly important in the storage container opening step by step rotated an angle ⁇ and becomes the manipulation opening each arranged over a bearing bush and is then the respective bearing bush with its bearing head passed through the manipulation opening.
- Conveniently has the storage container lid for rotation a thread, which is preferably designed as a trapezoidal thread is.
- the storage container jacket preferably has Internal thread and expediently has the storage container cover a corresponding external thread and the Storage container lid is preferably through this threaded connection both to align the manipulation opening rotatable as well as for tightening the storage container lid the storage container jacket rotatable.
- the rotation of the storage container roof conveniently takes place remotely instead of.
- a Corresponding drive motor which has a Gearbox with the storage container lid or with one on the Storage container lid connected component connectable is.
- at least one manipulation opening in the edge region of the storage container cover arranged.
- This manipulation opening is preferably eccentrically in the storage container lid arranged.
- the manipulation opening on simple Arranged way over a bearing sleeve be circular or cylindrical jacket-shaped with other bearing bushes is set in the storage container.
- the manipulation opening is expediently in relation to the respective bearing bushing centered so that the bearing bushing preferably centrally in relation to the manipulation opening is arranged.
- the storage container cover has a further manipulation opening, which is preferably arranged centrally in the storage container lid is.
- This further manipulation opening is at least a bearing bush placed in the middle of the storage container assigned which bearing sleeve is preferred by others Bearing bushes surrounded in a circular or cylinder jacket shape becomes.
- the secondary cover After lifting a bearing bush, the secondary cover attached to the bearing sleeve head.
- the secondary cover with the bearing bush head welded.
- the welding takes place preferably after Narrow gap welding process instead. Thanks to the welding technology Closure of the bearing bush becomes a tight and permanent Barrier for both temporary storage and for ensures the final storage of the bearing bush.
- the bearing bush welded to the secondary cover after the intermediate storage preferably the Repository can be fed without further elaborate Transhipment measures would be required.
- the fact that with the an effective secondary lid designed as a welding lid Sealing the bearing bush is special elaborate sealing measures on the intermediate storage container not mandatory.
- the intermediate storage container is required in contrast to the known intermediate storage containers no double lid arrangement with complex Sealing devices.
- the secondary cover are the bearing bushes tightly closed, that it is sufficient, the intermediate storage container only to be equipped with a single cover. Long-term monitoring can continue during the intermediate storage the tightness of the intermediate storage container to be largely dispensed with.
- the invention is based on the finding that a simple Manipulation of the in the storage container or intermediate storage container set bearing bushes and in particular a simple and reliable locking of the bearing bushes with a secondary cover is possible without elaborate shielding measures are required. This is due to the combination of the method features according to the invention reached.
- Manipulation of the bearing bushes means within the scope of the invention primarily the attachment of the Secondary cover.
- the Bearing head passed through the manipulation opening and then the secondary cover on the bearing bush head attached or preferably welded. Thereby is the rest or the lower part of the bearing bush in the Storage container or intermediate storage container arranged and is thus sufficient due to the storage container walls shielded.
- the Secondary lid in a simple manner in the manipulation opening engaging or preferably at the manipulation opening through bearing bush head attached or be welded on.
- the storage container or the storage container cover serves when welding the secondary cover as a welding aid.
- a welding facility can be particularly reliable on the storage container lid be supported.
- the at least one manipulation opening after attaching the Secondary cover closed with at least one shielding plug.
- the invention furthermore a storage container, in particular an intermediate storage container, - with storage container casing, Storage container interior, storage container bottom and storage container cover, where the storage container interior for receiving of bearing bushes with spent fuel elements is, the storage container lid at least one Has manipulation opening, the opening diameter for performing a bushing head of a bushing is designed, the storage container lid rotatable on the Storage container jacket is arranged and the manipulation opening by rotating the storage container cover over each a bearing bush head can be aligned and the manipulation opening closable with at least one shielding plug is.
