Definitions
- the invention relates to a dual vehicle control school.
- the invention relates more particularly to a double school vehicle control comprising a main pedal unit, arranged in place of the driver of the vehicle, and a pedal auxiliary, arranged in place of the school vehicle monitor, including at least one pedal, which extends towards the rear of the vehicle, which is integral in its movements with a pedal of the main pedal, and which is formed of a rod of which one free end carries a substantially turned upper shoe upwards, the monitor being likely to act on the skate upper to bring the pedal to an active position.
- the monitor is called upon to exert actions on the pedals the auxiliary pedal against those exercised by the driver on main pedals.
- the monitor introduces the tip of his foot under on the pad of one of the pedals of the auxiliary pedals, to raise it.
- This maneuver may fail because the skid of the pedal is generally not intended for such use, the monitor stand may for example slip under the pad, with the consequence that the monitor may not manage to correct a student's misconduct.
- auxiliary pedal leads to premature wear of the upper of the shoes monitor, which is less resistant than the soles.
- the invention proposes a double command on which the monitor can act in both ways.
- the invention proposes a double control of the type described above, characterized in that the pedal of the auxiliary pedals have a lower shoe which is attached to the free end of its stem, which is turned downward, at the back of upper skate, to allow instructor to bring back the pedal to a rest position against an action the driver on the corresponding pedal main.
- auxiliary pedal 10 is coupled to a main pedal (not shown) of the vehicle, in order to allow the instructor to control the student's maneuvers driver of the vehicle.
- the auxiliary pedal 10 includes at least one pedal 12, intended for example to control the operation of vehicle components such as an accelerator, a clutch, or vehicle brakes, and the movements are likely to command movements analogs of an associated pedal of the main pedal (not shown).
- the pedal 12 is articulated in rotation about an axis A which is carried by a body structure element of the vehicle, for example a vehicle apron.
- Pedal 12 is likely to be brought by the school vehicle instructor towards an active position in which it controls the operation of the aforementioned vehicle components, when he pushes it with the sole of his shoe.
- the pedal 12 comprises a rod 14 which extends vertically downward from the axis of of articulation A and which comprises at its free end 16 a upper shoe 18, which is turned upward to provide bearing surface, formed by its upper face 20, at the sole of the monitor shoe.
- the pedal 12 comprises also at the free end 16 of its rod 14 a lower shoe 22 which is turned down on the back of the upper shoe 18, to allow the monitor to recall pedal 12 against student driver action on the pedal corresponding to the main pedal (not shown).
- the lower shoe 22 has a lower face 24 on which the school vehicle monitor is likely to take support, raising it with the top of its shoe, to remind pedal 12 upwards.
- the pedal 12 therefore allows the instructor to exercise a pedal recall action corresponding to the main pedal without risk that its shoe slides on contact with pedal 12 and its maneuver fails.
- the pedal 12 also makes it possible to avoid premature wear of the end of the shoe monitor, the lower pad 22 providing a smooth bearing surface 12, which does not degrade the shoes, the uppers thereof being conventionally less resistant than their soles.
- pedal 12 prevents the monitor from injures the back of the upper shoe 18, the latter being obscured by the lower shoe 22.
- FIG. 2 illustrates the detail of realization of a pedal 12 according to the invention.
- the rod 14 is a bar which, in the views of Figures 2 and 3, has a substantially rectangular section and is made for example by forging a drawn bar initially right.
- the rod 14 can also be produced under the shape of a cut and folded sheet.
- Rod 14 of a pedal is slightly curved transversely so that the pedals 12 are located at a determined distance from each other others to prevent the monitor stand from pressing on two pedals 12 at a time.
- the free end 16 of the rod 14 is bent towards the high to allow the fixing of a lower face 26 of the upper shoe 18 to a fixing surface 27 of the bar 14.
- the lower shoe 22 is arranged under the rod 14 so that its upper face 29 is in contact with the lower longitudinal edge 28 of the bar 14.
- the upper 18 and lower 22 pads are produced by cutting of a single sheet which is folded in the middle with respect to the longitudinal direction of bar 14 along an edge transverse 30, and which is fixed to the bar 14.
- the underside 26 of the upper shoe 18 is fixed for example by welding or gluing on the surface of fixing 27 of the bar 14, while the upper face 29 of the lower shoe 22 is simply supported on the edge lower longitudinal 28 of bar 14.
- the upper face 29 of lower shoe 22 could also be welded or glued to the lower longitudinal edge 28 of the bar 14, in order to provide additional stiffening of the pedal 12.
- the transverse edge 30 is part of a tongue 32 which is shown folded in the views of Figures 2 and 3 and which joins the two rectangular pads 18 and 22.
- the tongue 32 is of a width significantly less than that of the pads 18 and 22.
- the upper shoe 18 has extensions 34 which extend vertically downward from one end lower 33 of upper skid 18, respectively transversely on either side of the tongue 32, up to plane P of the lower shoe 22.
- extensions 34 of the upper shoe 18 allow to provide the sole of the monitor shoe a substantially continuous bearing surface which does not have no asperities prejudicial to the passage of the foot under the pedal 12, and in particular the passage of the laces of the shoe that can not hang on the pedal 12.
- the upper shoe 18 and the lower shoe 22 each have on their periphery respective folds 36 and 38 which extend respectively at their back down and up for allow the attachment of a bead (not shown) of a non-slip material lining 40 which allows advantageously avoid slipping the monitor stand when the latter acts on the pedal 12.
- the invention therefore makes it possible to have a double control easily manipulated by the monitor of the school vehicle, and which, in terms of mass production series, is an easy and inexpensive realization.

Abstract
