Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for applying glue to an endless web, especially on wave tips of a corrugated side of an endless web in the Corrugated cardboard production and one suitable for carrying out the process Gluing unit.
- gluing units for corrugated cardboard systems such as those from DE 39 24 273 C2 are known
- the wave crests or wave peaks are glued a corrugated side of a material web, for example a one-sided Corrugated cardboard in such a way that by means of a metering roller and a glue application roller an exactly defined gap is formed, on one side of which in a Glue tub located glue is provided.
- the metering roller and the glue application roller are driven in opposite directions so that a layer of glue on the surface of the glue application roller after the gap predetermined thickness arises.
- the material web to be glued is in contact with brought to the glue-coated surface of the glue application roller.
- Such known gluing units have the disadvantage that the gap between Metering roller and glue application roller must be adhered to with high precision. This requires extremely precise in terms of eccentricity and concentricity Training of the rollers. Especially when using glue with high The solids content must be the one to be set between the metering roller and the glue application roller Gap to very small values on the order of a few tenths Millimeters can be reduced. This gap width must also be the highest Precision, for example with a tolerance of ⁇ 0.02 mm.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of a method for applying Glue on the shaft tips of a corrugated side of a material web for production of corrugated cardboard, as well as a suitable gluing unit, whereby less Glue layer thicknesses are achievable or smaller amounts of glue to the glue to be glued Continuous web can be applied.
- the gluing unit should be simple be built and inexpensive to manufacture.
- the invention is based on the knowledge that the requirements for a reduced thickness of the glue layer on the glue application roller or after a smaller one amount of glue applied to the paper web to be glued with the conventional system consisting of metering roller and glue application roller hardly more can be taken into account since the manufacturing tolerances for the rollers for glue plants currently in use so low and the demands on the accuracy of the storage and the drive of the rollers are already so high that the feasibility limit seems to have been reached.
- the invention therefore goes the completely new way, the glue by means of a Endless screen with a structured surface on the surface to be glued or to be applied to the surface of a glue application element.
- the glue application element can also be used be dispensed with, so that the direct application of the glue from the surface of the endless screen onto the surface of the material web to be glued a much simpler construction of the glue unit results.
- one glue tray is provided, which is in at least the width of the material web to be glued corresponding width extends transversely to the endless screen and wherein the endless screen with a surface for glue absorption in contact with that in the glue tub located glue.
- the glue pan is provided and formed that the front wall of the glue tub in the conveying direction on the inner or outer surface of the endless screen is substantially tight.
- glue passes through the sieve and so on a glue layer on the surface of the endless screen facing away from the glue tub predetermined thickness can be generated.
- the thickness of the glue layer depends on several parameters, including of the permeability of the sieve, of the pressure, with which the glue lies against the relevant surface of the endless screen, from which Viscosity of the glue and the speed at which the endless sieve is moved relative to the amount of glue in the glue tub.
- the passage of the glue can either by the dynamic pressure and / or static Pressure of the glue in the glue pan against the surface of the endless sieve or by "artificially creating" pressure in the glue pan, for example be made possible by means of a controllable pump. In the latter case the glue unit must of course face the surface of the endless screen be essentially sealed.
- control of the pump can be dependent from the pressure in the glue pan or depending on the thickness of the glue unit Controlled surface of the endless screen generated glue layer controlled or be regulated.
- Fig. 1 shows a gluing unit 1 according to the invention within a plant or a Plant part of a corrugated cardboard machine for the production of a double-sided corrugated cardboard web 3, the system or the system part a one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5 is supplied, which is initially provided with glue by means of the gluing unit 1 and then merged with a smooth cover sheet 7 to double-sided corrugated cardboard 3 becomes.
- the gluing unit 1 has an endless belt 9 which is arranged around three deflecting rollers 11a, 11b, 11c is performed.
- the width of the endless belt 9 is chosen to be larger than the largest Width of the double-sided corrugated cardboard web 3 or the individual to be produced Partial webs 5, 7.
- At least one of the deflection rollers 11a, 11b, 11c of the gluing unit 1 is by means of a predetermined, adjustable speed can be driven.
- a glue tray 13 is provided below the system consisting of the deflection rollers 11a, 11b, 11c and therefore guided endless belt 9, a glue tray 13 is provided, the position the glue pan 13 is selected so that the endless belt 9 in the area below the deflecting roller 11c is immersed in the glue 15 located in the glue tub 13.
- the glue pan 13 may have side walls, not shown, which Seal the glue tray to the side of the endless belt 9.
- the side walls can also be displaced in the direction of the axes of the deflecting rollers 11a, 11b, 11c be formed to the width of the glue application on the outer surface 9a adjust to the width of the corrugated cardboard web 3 to be produced.
- the width of the Glue layer on the surface 9a must of course be selected so that the partial web 5 to be glued, in the example shown the one-sided Corrugated cardboard web 5 is glued in its entire width.
- the endless belt is by means of the deflection rollers 11a, 11b, 11c driven clockwise, so that the strand of the endless belt between the deflection rollers 11c and 11a due to the immersion of the endless belt in the glue 15 is coated with glue in the selected width.
- the glue layer is however still irregular and for gluing the peaks or mountains the corrugated surface of the one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5 is still too thick.
- a scraper 17 is therefore provided which extends over essentially the entire area Width of the endless belt 9 extends and at least with an edge on the surface 9a of the endless belt 9 abuts.
- the surface of the endless belt 9 is provided with a surface structure that is suitable to receive a predetermined amount of glue in the recesses.
- the scraper 17 thus makes the surface structure above the depressions the glue located on the surface 9a of the endless belt 9 is removed. The removed glue gets into the glue bath 15 within the glue tub 13th
- the upper edge can of course also be used of the front wall 19 so that they are on the surface 9a of the Endless belt 9 is present and takes over the function of the scraper.
- a corresponding scraper may be arranged.
- the surface 9a in which the defined amount of glue is applied Contact with the wave crests of the one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5 to be glued brought.
- the corrugated cardboard web is in contact with the one between the deflection rollers 11a and 11b located strand of the endless belt 9 brought.
- the lower one Run essentially parallel to the run of the endless belt 9 between the deflection rollers 11a and 11b is guided. That led around at least two deflection rollers Endless belt 21 can be driven at the same speed as the endless belt 9 of the gluing unit 1.
- a pressure device can be provided for the strand of the endless belt 21. This can, as shown in Fig. 1, be designed as a pressure hood.
- the endless belt can also transfer the amount of glue transferred by changing the length of the area (in the direction of transport of the web) can be set independently whether it runs in a straight line or curved, as shown in FIG. 1, as in the following embodiments. Setting the area length can e.g. by means of deflection rollers for the web to be glued or through the gluing unit is moved.
- the metering of the amount of glue transferred to the web 5 can also (or additionally) in such a way that the mechanical deformation of the Structure of the endless belt 9 changes the amount of glue absorbed in the pores becomes.
- the tension of the endless belt in a manner not shown be controllable or regulatable by means of an adjustable tensioning roller.
- This type of glue metering can of course also be used when using a Endless sieve are used, the mechanical deformation of the Endless sieve the pore size and thus the transmission properties of the sieve for the glue are changeable.
- doctoring can occur of the glue above the pores of the sieve, so the dosage is exclusive is done by changing the pore volume.
- gluing the wave crests of the one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5 this brought together with the smooth cover sheet 7 by means of a further deflection roller 23 and glued to it.
- the pressure device can again be designed as a pressure hood.
- a plate 25 serves as a repository.
- an endless screen can also be provided. In this case becomes a certain by immersing the endless screen in the glue bath 15 Amount of glue pressed through the sieve to the inner surface. this applies at least when the sieve enters the glue bath 15 by a sufficient amount dips.
- the through the endless screen the amount of glue pushed through the inner surface essentially through the Length of the glue-wetted run between the surface of the glue bath 15 and the Line of contact and the mesh size of the sieve and the viscosity of the glue and determines the speed of the endless screen.
- the scraper 17 When using an endless screen, the scraper 17 will be arranged in such a way that this decreases the excess amount of glue at one position before the endless screen is brought into contact with the deflecting roller 11a.
- the amount of glue located on the inside of the endless screen by pressing the endless screen against the deflection roller 11a through the screen pressed outside As a result, a layer of glue forms on the outside of the sieve with a predetermined thickness.
- a sufficiently low viscosity of the glue results from the use of a structured endless belt the advantage that there is essentially one on the outside of the endless screen forms a closed layer of glue.
- This effect can be improved if between the area of pushing the glue outwards from the inside of the Endless sieve on the outside and bringing the glue layer into contact with the Corrugated cardboard web to be glued has a sufficient time for the "running" of the Glue passes away.
- a further deflection roller can be provided so that the glue is pressed outwards much earlier can, as is the case with the device according to FIG. 1.
- an endless screen 30 by only two deflecting rollers 33a, 33b. At least one of the deflection rollers the 32a, 32b is again with a predetermined, exactly adjustable Speed drivable.
- a glue pan 34 is provided below the lower run of the endless screen 30 , the front and rear walls as well the two side walls, not shown, the interior of the glue tub 34 seal against the outside 30a of the endless screen 30.
- the two not shown Side walls can again be in a direction transverse to the endless screen 30 be movable.
- the entire interior of the glue tub 34 is filled with glue.
- a preferably controllable pump 35 is fed to the glue tub 34 glue, so that a predetermined pressure is generated in the glue tub 34, which is sufficient to to push a predetermined amount of glue through the endless screen 30.
- a layer of glue is formed on the inside 30b of the endless screen 30 predetermined width and predetermined thickness.
- the glue application to the one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5 only by contacting the one-sided corrugated cardboard web with a predetermined wrap angle on the deflecting roller 32b takes place, that which is pressed through the endless screen 30 by means of the deflecting roller 32a remains Glue amount a relatively large amount of time until they actually make contact is brought with the one-sided corrugated cardboard web 5. During this time the Glue layer, as described above, even.
- the front Transverse wall is designed as a corresponding scraper.
- the glue collected in the auxiliary glue pan 38 can be fed to a glue reservoir 40 from which by means of the pump 35 the glue with a predetermined Pressure of the glue pan 34 is supplied.
- the glue reservoir 40 can of course other glue is added continuously or intermittently to the Quantity of the emitted to the corrugated cardboard web to be glued Glue quantity to replace.
- the inward facing Wall areas of the deflection rollers 32a, 32b further auxiliary glue trays 42 and 44 be provided, which in connection with appropriate scrapers glue residues remove from the guide rollers.
- the embodiment of the invention shown in Fig. 3 corresponds to the arrangement of the deflection rollers 32a, 32b and the endless screen 30 and the auxiliary glue pan 38 essentially according to the embodiment Fig. 2.
- a glue pan 36 used in the inner region of the endless screen 30 is provided on the lower run of the endless screen 30.
- the one in the glue tub The glue present exerts a static and / or dynamic pressure on the inside 30b of the endless screen 30, so that again depending on the viscosity of the glue, the mesh size of the endless screen and the speed of the endless screen 30 a predetermined amount of glue is pushed through the screen. So that results there is a quasi-homogeneous layer of glue on the outside 30a of the endless screen 30, at least when the glue has a sufficiently low viscosity.
- Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the invention, in which the gluing unit 1 with respect of the system consisting of the deflection rollers and the one guided around them Endless belt or endless screen largely similar to that shown in Fig. 3
- the embodiment is, but only two deflection rollers 32a, 32b are used are.
- use is again possible of an endless belt 9 with a structured outer surface 9a, since the amount of glue on the surface 9a by immersing it in a glue bath 15 of a glue tub 13 and the subsequent stripping unnecessary glue is generated.
- the on the outer surface 9a of the endless belt 9 in the recesses of the Structured surface contained glue is used in the embodiment 4 on a glue application element 46 in the form of a glue application roller transfer.
- the glue application roller 46 can do this at a lower speed are driven so that at the point of contact or in the line of contact between the circumference of the glue application roller 46 and the endless belt 9 a Relative speed exists. As a result, the glue can be dosed become. Possibly. a corresponding regulation or control of the relative speed respectively.
- Fig. 5 shows a schematic diagram for understanding the present Invention essential components of a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine 100, with a glue unit 1 according to the invention, which essentially corresponds to the embodiment in Fig. 1 is identical with endless screen.
- a glue unit 1 according to the invention, which essentially corresponds to the embodiment in Fig. 1 is identical with endless screen.
- the corrugated cardboard machine 100 comprises a feed-side deflecting roller 102 for the Feeding of the partial web 5 to be glued, which is initially two in the usual way cooperating corrugated rollers 104, 106 is supplied. Feeding and Pressing the partial web 7 to be glued to the glued partial web 5 takes place by means of a feed device 108 which has an endless screen guided around three rollers having. A strand 110a of the endless screen 110 acts upon a predetermined one Wrap angle the upper corrugating roller 106, being in this area the partial webs 5 and 7 against each other with a predetermined contact pressure and pressed against the upper corrugating roller 106.
- the glue unit 1 is provided within a pressure chamber 112, which under other, in a manner known per se, the pressing of the around the upper corrugating roller current (now corrugated) to be glued partial web 5 guaranteed.
- the Glue unit 1 which with the endless screen with a predetermined wrap angle the upper corrugating roller 106 or the endless web 5 guided around it acted upon, can be moved in the direction of arrow I away from the corrugated roller or towards it. In this way, the wrap angle can be set on the one hand and on the other hand, in the event of the machine being stopped, the softening of the partial web 5 to be glued can be prevented. In the latter case, the endless screen can of the glue unit 1 also continue to run and so the glue dries on the Tape to be avoided.
- gluing is not only essentially on a linear Touch occurs, but via a in the direction of transport gluing web 5 longer extended area. In the illustrated embodiment this is done by providing a predetermined wrap angle. However, as shown in Fig. 1, it is also possible to touch between the glue-transmitting element in the form of the endless screen and the to provide gluing sub-web 5 over a rectilinear area.
- the wrap angle (and thus the area in which the web 5 is pressed against the corrugating roller 106 and in which the web 5 is in contact with the screen transferring the glue) and the contact pressure can also be changed independently.
- the wrap angle can be adjusted by adjusting the horizontal position of the Glue unit in the direction of arrow I and the contact pressure by providing one Tension pulley (not shown) which acts on the sieve are changed.
