Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for monitoring the weft release and Stopping process on pre-winding devices, in particular with air jet looms in Active connection.
- the main nozzle of the air jet loom and the prewinder are electrically controlled such that the thread stopper of the prewinder releases the weft length in synchronism with the electrical control of the electromagnetic control valve of the main nozzle and the thread stopper blocks the weft release at the end of the weft insertion process.
- This necessary or defined weft thread length is achieved in that the drum of the prewinder is adjustable in diameter and thus picks up and releases an integer number of turns which corresponds to the weft thread insertion length.
- prewinder devices have at least one thread stopper which can be moved radially to the drum diameter and thereby releases or stops the weft thread.
- the at least one stop device is actuated electromagnetically directly or also indirectly in connection with the switching of an electromagnetically actuated valve of the main nozzle.
- the synchronous operation of the electromagnetic stopper device of the prewinder and the solenoid valve of the main nozzle of an air jet weaving machine requires, as is apparent from EP 0 544 730 B1, that both the times for releasing and stopping the weft thread and the operating times of the main nozzle are in agreement or are the same move within reasonable limits.
- the state of the art does not monitor whether the necessary conditions for synchronous operation continue to exist during web operation.
- the weft between the pre-winder and the main nozzle is subjected to a relatively high thread tension.
- this thread tensile force can lead to a so-called weft thread breakage directly during the aforementioned relatively short period of time or as the weft thread insertion process continues.
- the times at which the stopper has to release and stop the weft thread and the functional time of the main blowing nozzle i.e. the time at which the weft thread is inserted, the cause of a weft break can be recognized directly not possible. Stopping the weft thread at a point in time that is later than the stopping point specified by the control system also leads to production disruptions, because a further whole-number thread winding is emitted from the drum of the prewinder, which is not initially required for the weft thread insertion.
- the production disruption here can be the formation of weft loops, which can also be the cause of weft breaks.
- DE 196 02 513 C1 discloses a method for monitoring the functionality of electrically controllable solenoid valves in weaving machines.
- the background of the invention is that a possible failure of the pneumatically operated and electrically controllable auxiliary units used in weaving machines can be recognized at an early stage.
- all electromagnetic systems including electrically controlled solenoid valves, have a characteristic curve of the control current (I) over time (t).
- the special characteristic of the control current (I) over time (t) is shown in the rising part of a curve as a brief current drop. This current drop occurs regularly when the magnetic circuit in an electromagnetic system is closed.
- the object is achieved by using the known process steps. solved the invention according to DE 196 02 513 C1. Thereafter, the characteristic current profile of a device consisting of a coil, a spring-loaded stopper and a first and second position signal transmitter for the stopper is now also detected when the electromagnetic stopper device of a pre-winding device is electrically actuated. It is essential to the invention that the brief drop in the control current, which occurs regularly when the magnetic circuit in an electromagnetically operated system is closed, is measured over time in the ascending part of a curve and is shown in a diagram.
- this transient current slump at the time of actuation is with a t ⁇ t 1 defined as a target value and with a determined actual value ⁇ t 1 'compared.
- the determined actual value .DELTA.t 1 ' lies outside the predetermined point in time .DELTA.t 1 (setpoint) or a predetermined time window (soli value range)
- an error message is generated in the control of the weaving machine, which leads to the interruption of the weaving process. If the same deviation from the specified setpoint or setpoint range occurs several times in succession, the actuation time of the stopper device can be moved according to the invention in the sense of an advance or delay.
- the weft thread is released electromagnetically by the stopper device spring-loaded stopper, so in an embodiment of the invention to control the Stop function generates a path or position signal.
- a path or position signal for this come e.g. as a means Photoelectric sensors, initiators, Hall sensors and the like in question.
- the characteristic feature of the brief drop in the control current (I) occurs both when the thread stopper releases and when the weft thread is stopped.

- the occurrence of the characteristic feature 2 'at a time ⁇ t 1' , its deviation in time and size compared to a characteristic feature 2 at a time ⁇ t 1 or the absence of characteristic feature 2 is an indicator of the functionality of the above-mentioned devices of a prewinding device or an indicator of harmful asynchrony in the interaction between the weft insertion system of the weaving machine and the prewinding device 3rd
- the characteristic feature 2 at ⁇ t 1 of curve 1 according to FIG. 1 is monitored, for example, by a peak value detection.
- the detection signal is forwarded to a measuring circuit 10 known per se, see also FIG. 2.
- the characteristic feature 2 at ⁇ t 1 is represented when each stopper device or each thread brake is activated (switched on) by means of a weaving machine control not specified here.
- the relevant control device of the weaving machine receives a signal which either indicates the absence of the characteristic feature 2 in the control stream 1 of the stopper device or the thread braking device and / or triggers an interruption of the weaving process.
- a measured actual value ⁇ t 1 ' for the occurrence of the characteristic feature 2' is shown as an example on the abscissa according to FIG.

- ⁇ t 1 and ⁇ t 1 ' does not exceed or fall below a predetermined tolerance range. If, for example, the tolerance range is determined to be exceeded in the course of the operating time of the prewinding device 1, this is indicated by a signal relating to this, which can be associated with the interruption of the weaving process.
- the prewinder 3 shown schematically in Figure 3 has a drum 3a, on which a weft thread 5 drawn off from a thread bobbin, not shown, is wound up.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for monitoring the weft release and Stopping process on pre-winding devices, in particular with air jet looms in Active connection.
in vertretbaren Grenzen bewegen.
It is known that modern, fast-running air jet looms are connected to so-called prewinding devices, by means of which the weft threads are released in predetermined lengths in accordance with the weft thread insertion performance of the loom.
In terms of control technology, the release of a defined weft thread length is followed by the stopping of the released weft thread length.
The weft thread wound on a drum of the prewinding device is held on the take-off side of the drum by a so-called thread stopper in the sense of a clamp.
In the weft insertion process, the main nozzle of the air jet loom and the prewinder are electrically controlled such that the thread stopper of the prewinder releases the weft length in synchronism with the electrical control of the electromagnetic control valve of the main nozzle and the thread stopper blocks the weft release at the end of the weft insertion process. This ensures that only the weft thread length is released from the prewinder that corresponds to the necessary weft thread insertion length. This necessary or defined weft thread length is achieved in that the drum of the prewinder is adjustable in diameter and thus picks up and releases an integer number of turns which corresponds to the weft thread insertion length.
Known designs of prewinder devices have at least one thread stopper which can be moved radially to the drum diameter and thereby releases or stops the weft thread.
According to EP 0 544 730 B1, the at least one stop device is actuated electromagnetically directly or also indirectly in connection with the switching of an electromagnetically actuated valve of the main nozzle.
The synchronous operation of the electromagnetic stopper device of the prewinder and the solenoid valve of the main nozzle of an air jet weaving machine requires, as is apparent from EP 0 544 730 B1, that both the times for releasing and stopping the weft thread and the operating times of the main nozzle are in agreement or are the same move within reasonable limits. The state of the art does not monitor whether the necessary conditions for synchronous operation continue to exist during web operation.
For example, in the event that the stopper of the pre-winder releases the weft at a point in time which is a few milliseconds after the point in time for the weft insertion of the main nozzle, the weft between the pre-winder and the main nozzle is subjected to a relatively high thread tension. Depending on the yarn parameters, such as tensile strength, this thread tensile force can lead to a so-called weft thread breakage directly during the aforementioned relatively short period of time or as the weft thread insertion process continues.
Without a comparative monitoring of the functional times of the stopper device of the prewinder, i.e. the times at which the stopper has to release and stop the weft thread and the functional time of the main blowing nozzle, i.e. the time at which the weft thread is inserted, the cause of a weft break can be recognized directly not possible.
Stopping the weft thread at a point in time that is later than the stopping point specified by the control system also leads to production disruptions, because a further whole-number thread winding is emitted from the drum of the prewinder, which is not initially required for the weft thread insertion.
The production disruption here can be the formation of weft loops, which can also be the cause of weft breaks.
elektrisch ansteuerbarer Magnetventile in Webmaschinen bekannt.
Elektromagnetsystem geschlossen wird.DE 196 02 513 C1 discloses a method for monitoring the functionality of electrically controllable solenoid valves in weaving machines.
The background of the invention is that a possible failure of the pneumatically operated and electrically controllable auxiliary units used in weaving machines can be recognized at an early stage.
When solving the problem, it is assumed that all electromagnetic systems, including electrically controlled solenoid valves, have a characteristic curve of the control current (I) over time (t).
The special characteristic of the control current (I) over time (t) is shown in the rising part of a curve as a brief current drop.
This current drop occurs regularly when the magnetic circuit in an electromagnetic system is closed.
Against this background, it is an object of the invention to determine the actual switching times of the Stopper device of a pre-winder operatively connected to a weaving machine in the Monitor with regard to impermissible deviations from target switching times.
According to the invention the object is achieved by using the known process steps. solved the invention according to DE 196 02 513 C1.
The occurrence of this transient current slump at the time of actuation is with a t Δ t 1 defined as a target value and with a determined actual value Δ t 1 'compared. In the event that the determined actual value .DELTA.t 1 ' lies outside the predetermined point in time .DELTA.t 1 (setpoint) or a predetermined time window (soli value range), an error message is generated in the control of the weaving machine, which leads to the interruption of the weaving process.
If the same deviation from the specified setpoint or setpoint range occurs several times in succession, the actuation time of the stopper device can be moved according to the invention in the sense of an advance or delay.
The weft thread is released electromagnetically by the stopper device spring-loaded stopper, so in an embodiment of the invention to control the Stop function generates a path or position signal. For this come e.g. as a means Photoelectric sensors, initiators, Hall sensors and the like in question.
When using a reversing lifting magnet, for example, the characteristic feature of the brief drop in the control current (I) occurs both when the thread stopper releases and when the weft thread is stopped.
According to the invention, in a further embodiment of the invention, the first or second characteristic feature can optionally be used for monitoring the switching time of the stopper device.
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.
