Definitions
- the invention relates to a flush opening device toilet water according to the preamble of claim 1, which is known from US 2,219,367.
- the invention relates more particularly to a device toilet flush opening type of a water tank supplied by a tap connected to a network of water distribution, and which is likely to be open for fill the tank when the water level falls below a determined lower limit, and type which has a lower discharge opening and a valve evacuation associated with this orifice, which is likely occupy a closed position to retain water inside the tank or an open position to drain water to a toilet bowl,
- the exhaust valve opens when the opening element is actuated and only closes when the water level in the tank has reached a lower limit.
- the valve closes and a float, which is lowered at the same time the water level in the tank activates a filling valve so that the tank fills for a new use.
- the invention proposes a device that uses the principle of Archimedes' push to actuate the tank opening element, the control of this device can then easily be ensured by an electromagnet operating at low voltage and autonomous.
- the invention provides a device toilet flush opening such as described in claim 1.
- the device 10 comprises a tank 12 supplied by a tap (not shown) connected to a water distribution network.
- the tap (not shown) is likely to open depending on the level of water contained in the reservoir 12 to cause the filling of the water reservoir.
- the reservoir 12 is of substantially parallelepiped shape and is likely to be closed at the top by a cover (not shown).
- an evacuation orifice 14 which is capable of ensuring the evacuation of the water contained in the reservoir 12 in direction of a toilet bowl.
- a transmission mechanism 16 is arranged in the reservoir 12 and ensures the obturation of the orifice discharge 14 as shown in Figure 1.
- the transmission mechanism 16 is arranged in the reservoir 12 by means of a transverse plate 18, produced in the form of a horizontal plate which extends between two opposite inner side faces 20 of the reservoir 12.
- the plate 18 can be produced in a plastic material and be nested in notches (not shown) carried by the inner side faces 20 of the tank 12.
- two holes 22 and 24 which allow respectively the passage of a push arm 26 and a valve opening element 28.
- the push arm 26 consists of a rod capable of sliding vertically in the hole 22 and a float 30 arranged at the lower end of the arm of advantage 26.
- the float is produced by means of a hollow sphere of plastic material, or of a ball of expanded polystyrene strung on a rod 32 of the arm of thrust 26.
- the opening element 28 of the valve comprises, in its upper part, a rod 34 which is slidably received vertical in the bore 24 of the plate 18, and a body 36 which contains a valve 38, described later with reference to the Figure 2, which is likely to block the discharge port 14 of the tank 12.
- the opening element 28 controls only the opening of the valve 38 to cause the evacuation of water contained in the reservoir 12, the closure of the valve 38 being independent of the movements of the opening element 28 of so that the valve 38 only closes when the water level contained in the tank has reached a lower limit determined, for example when the tank is empty.
- the rods 32 of the push arm 26, and 34 of the element opening 28, are both connected to a bar actuator 40 which extends transversely in the same direction as the plate 18 and which is articulated to one of its ends 42 on the plate 18 via a pivot 44, integral with the plate 18, and with a horizontal axis perpendicular to the transverse direction of the bar 40.
- the vertical rod 32 of the push arm 26 is articulated on the actuating bar 40 by means of a pivot 46, with an axis parallel to the pivot 44, and which is produced by means an axis 48 which passes through the actuating bar 40 and a head 50 arranged at the upper end of the rod 32 of the arm of thrust 26.
- the rod 34 of the opening element 28 is linked to the actuating bar 40 by means of a sliding pivot 52 which is produced by means of an axis 54 parallel to the pivot 44 passing through a head 56 arranged at the upper end of the rod 34 of the opening element 28, the axis 54 being guided in translation in a light 58 of the actuating bar 40 which extends in the general transverse direction of the bar actuation 40.
- the upper face of the plate 18 comprises an opening mechanism 59.
- the opening mechanism 59 includes a support 60 which is advantageously welded on the plate 18 or come from material with the plate 18.
- the support 60 has substantially the shape of a square with an elbow opposite to the actuating bar 40, and one branch 62 of which, generally horizontal and adjacent to the actuation bar 40, carries a cam 64 which is capable of pivoting around a direction axis 66 perpendicular to the direction transverse of the plate 18 and parallel to the pivot 44.
- the cam 64 also has the shape of a square whose the concavity is turned towards the concavity of the square formed by support 60, including a first branch overall horizontal 68 is articulated around axis 66, and one of which second generally horizontal branch 70 crosses a light 72 of the support 60 to form a counterweight of the cam 64.
- the light 72 is arranged in one face of the vertical branch 74 of the support 60.
- a first notch 76 On branch 70, near the elbow joining the two branches 68 and 70 of the cam 64, is arranged a first notch 76 which, in the initial rest position of the cam 64, is oriented upwards and is capable of receive a locking finger 78 from a cylindrical electromagnet 80, of substantially vertical axis and fixed to the support 60. As as will be seen later, the substantially vertical position of the axis of the electromagnet 80 ensures the descent of the locking pin 78 by gravity.
- the branch 68 of the cam 64 has a second notch 82 oriented towards the end free 84 of the actuating bar 40 and which is capable of cooperate with this end 84 to immobilize the bar actuation 40 in rotation relative to pivot 44 in order to block the transmission mechanism 16.
- the push arm 26 is free to slide vertically from its low position towards its high position and the opening element 28 is actuated upwards by the actuating bar 40 in occupying a valve opening setpoint position evacuation 38.
- the opening of the valve 38 being caused by actuation of the opening element 28, the valve 38 opens and the tank 12 begins to empty through the discharge port 14.
- the cam 64 has tilted under the action of the end 84 of the actuating bar 40 and it remains tilted under the effect of the counterweight formed by its branch 70, so that the notch 76 of the cam 64 disappears in the light 72 of the support 60, and so that the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80 is retained in abutment in a position intermediate against an upper face 86 of the cam 64.
- the water in the tank 12 drops to a level for which the float 30 is no longer submerged but floats on the surface of the water.
- the push arm 26 goes down and drives the bar actuation 40 which gradually descends into the notch 82 of the cam 64 to tilt it again in the initial position.
- the opening element 28 directly controls the opening and closing of the orifice evacuation 14.
- the shutter valve 38 integral with the opening element 28 in this embodiment, does not close plus the discharge port 14.
- the discharge valve 38 closes the discharge opening 14 to close the reservoir 12.
- the cam 64 has substantially the shape a right triangle, the hypotenuse of which has the notch 82 of immobilization of the end 84 of the bar actuator 40 previously described, and the height of which, set back transversely with respect to the support 60, delimits (in the initial rest position of the cam 64) a gap 88 intended to receive the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80 when it is not retracted. Furthermore, the cam 64 has an inclined face 90 facing the bar actuation 40 and corresponding to the hypotenuse of the cam 64 in the shape of a right triangle.
- This inclined face 90 is arranged above the notch 82 of the cam 64 so as, as will be described in with reference to Figures 5 and 6, provide a support plan for the end 84 of the actuating bar 40.
- cam 64 differs significantly from cam 64 described with reference to Figures 1 and 2 because it has no second branch and, therefore, no counterweight.
- end 84 of the actuating bar 40 has a bevel shape intended to cooperate with the inclined face 90 of the cam 64.
- the reservoir 12 is full and the notch 82 of the cam 64 immobilizes the actuating bar 40 by opposing the Archimedes' push exerted by the push arm 26, in order to hold the opening element 28 of the valve in the closing setpoint position, so that the valve 38 is closed and the discharge orifice 14 is closed.
- the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80 occupies a blocking position in the gap 88 located between the cam 64 and the support 60 while maintaining the cam 64 in immobilization position of the actuating bar 40.
- the cam 64 returns to its own position by its own weight, allowing the finger to blocking 78 of the electromagnet 80 to reinsert into the gap 88 delimited by the cam 64 and the support 60.
- end 84 of the bar actuator 40 falls on the surface 90 of the cam 64 and the water level continues to drop in the reservoir 12 without the actuating bar 40 continuing to go down.
- the evacuation of water within the tank 12 is therefore independent of the bar position actuation 40.
- a second electrical pulse delivered to electromagnet 80 allows the locking finger 78 to be retracted again and release the cam 64.
- cam 64 is pushed back in tilting in the trigonometric direction to allow the 84 end of the actuation bar 40 to reinsert into the notch 82 of cam 64, under the action of its own weight and the weights of the push arm 26 and the opening element 28.
- the assembly constituted by the actuating bar 40, the arm of thrust 26 and the opening element 28 falls back into its initial configuration for closing the valve 38 and closing it the discharge port 14. Therefore, the tap (not shown) is likely to refill the tank 12.
- this second embodiment eliminates the need to use an opening valve 38 complex, the opening element 28 being able to ensure directly closing or releasing the orifice 14. This allows a significant lowering of the manufacturing costs of such a device 10 for opening flush.
- the risks of dysfunction in the opening mechanism 59 are considerably reduced insofar as, the cam 64 not comprising any arm 70 similar to that described with reference to FIG. 1, the risk of jamming in relation to the light 72 of the support 60 previously described, which are always possible in humid atmosphere, are reduced here.
- the third embodiment of the invention shown in Figures 7 to 11 illustrates a mechanism for transmission 16 representing the preferred embodiment of the invention.
- the water tank 12 has the lower opening 14 discharge, a valve opening element 28, substantially vertical and comprising a discharge valve (not shown), and the upper rod 34 of which is articulated, via a sliding pivot 55, on the bar actuator 40, linked to an opening mechanism 61 of the device 10.
- the push arm 26 carries the float 30 and is linked to the opening mechanism 61.
- the opening mechanism 61 of this third mode of construction differs significantly from the opening mechanism 59 described with reference to Figures 1 to 6. Indeed, in this mode embodiment, the push arm 26 is not linked to the bar actuator 40 but directly to the opening mechanism 61.
- the opening mechanism 61 comprises a first and a second coaxial knocker 92 and 94, located in two parallel vertical planes, pivotally mounted on an axis 95 perpendicular to the transverse direction, and which are respectively linked to the push arm 26 and to the bar actuation 40.
- the first and second check wheels 92 and 94 have a first toc 96 and a second toc respectively 98 of which contact surfaces 100 and 102 are intended for cooperate by contact with each other so that the first wheel to knock 92 is likely to cause, when the first contact surface 100 comes into contact with the second contact surface 102, the second knock wheel 94 in clockwise rotation. Training is not possible, as we will see later, that in this sense and the second counter wheel 94 cannot drive the first counter wheel 92.
- the first lash wheel 92 comprises, in an area close to its periphery, a finger 104 which extends perpendicular to the plane of the first toc wheel 92, and which is received in a lumen 106 of a pivoting lever 108 of the opening mechanism 61, so as to cause it to tilting when the first lash wheel 92 turns, the lever tilting 108 being also articulated in rotation around a axis 110 also perpendicular to the transverse direction.
- the rocking lever 108 In the initial position of the opening device 10 described with reference to FIG. 7, the rocking lever 108 is substantially vertical and an abutment face 112 of the lever 108, facing the side of the opening mechanism 61 in which the rocking lever 108 is caused to move, is at contact of the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80.
- the electromagnet 80 is, as in the previous modes of realization of the invention, cylindrical, of vertical orientation, and fixed to a support 114 integral with the reservoir 12.
- the lever 108 is articulated around the axis 110 so as to reduce substantially the force applied by the abutment face 112 on the locking finger 78 when the opening device occupies its open position.
- the lever 108 presents the form of a square whose branch length ratio is such that the force exerted by the abutment face 112 on the finger blocking 78 is about ten times lower than that exerted by the axis 104 in the light 106.
- the device 10 for opening the flush of water is in a configuration described with reference to diagram of figure 8, similar to the view of figure 7, in which the water level H corresponds to the maximum of filling the reservoir 12.
- the float 30 of the thrust arm 26 is then submerged and exerts an action, due to the thrust Archimedes, vertically from bottom to top on the arm of thrust 26, which is linked to the first toc wheel 92, and which tends to cause it to rotate clockwise.
- the first toc wheel 92 is locked in rotation by through the contact of the stop face 112 of the lever 108 on the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80.
- the push arm 26 is held in the low position and the float 30 is kept submerged, the second toc wheel 94, the actuating bar 40 and the opening element 28 being also, and by their own weight, kept in a position in which the discharge valve is kept closed.
- the discharge valve is a valve whose closure is independent of the opening element 28, so that when the opening element 28 determines a position for opening the discharge valve (not shown), the exhaust valve opens, the valve outlet closing by itself when the water level in tank 12 reaches the lower limit B, i.e. when the tank 12 is empty.
- the locking finger 78 When an electrical pulse is supplied to the electromagnet 80, the locking finger 78 is retracted and authorizes the clockwise rotation of lever 108, and therefore of the first toc wheel 92, which allows the arm to thrust 26 to rise under the action of the float 30 initially submerged.
- the first knock 96 cooperates with the second toc 98, through the contact between the respective surfaces 100 and 102 of the tocs 96 and 98, and causes the second toc wheel 94 to rotate in the direction hourly, which allows the bar to be raised actuation 40, which results in a movement of vertical sliding upwards, the opening element 28 which determines (not shown) a setpoint position opening the valve, which opens.
- the tank 12 begins to empty, the float 30 gradually rising from a submerged low position to a high position in which it floats on the water contained in the tank 12.
- the reverse rotation movement of the first wheel at toc 92 causes the rotation in the counterclockwise direction of the lever 108, of which a retracting surface 116 forces the finger blocking 78 of the electromagnet 80 to retract in passing.
- the hunting opening device 10 is then found in a position of the opening mechanism 61 similar to the initial position, as illustrated with reference to FIG. 11, the water level being at the lower limit of level B.
- the second wheel 94 knocked back against the first wheel to toc 92 via contact between surfaces 102 and 100 respectively of knockout 98 of second knockout wheel 94 and toc 96 of the first toc wheel 92.
- the reservoir 12 is therefore likely to be refilled by the tap (no shown) for a new use.
- the architecture of the third embodiment of the opening device of flush 10 can be used with an exhaust valve integral in its movements with the opening element 28.
- the mechanism 61 differs from the previous one in that the lever 108 does not has no retraction surface 116 similar to that described with reference to FIG. 10, and cannot retract the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80, so that the bar actuator 40, descending with the opening element 28, cannot bring back the second wheel 94 to its position initial as long as the locking finger 78 of the electromagnet 80 was not retracted a second time.
- the opening element 28 then remains in an opening setpoint position, the flap remaining open, and only a second impulse electric on the electromagnet 80 releases the lever 108 to close the exhaust valve.
- the architecture of the third and fourth embodiment of the invention allows make a device 10 for simple hunting opening assemble since it can be assembled in a single block in a tank 12, unlike the first two modes of realization in which requires a part mounting by part in tank 12.
- this device 10 also allows to associate with the rotation of the first and second toc wheels 92 and 94 a control system for opening subsequent tap to fill the tank 12.
- FIG. 12 illustrates a block diagram of a control electronics intended to cause retraction blocking finger 78 by sending an electrical pulse in the electromagnet 80.
- batteries 118 allow the supply of a cascade of modules, comprising an electronic detection module 120 which transmits information, relating to the presence or absence of a user P, to an amplification module 122, which transmits this information to a central unit 124 which determines the presence time of the user and, when the presence of the user P is no longer detected after a certain time, triggers the sending of a pulse to an electromagnet control module 126, which provides an electrical impulse to the electromagnet 80 to that it acts on the opening mechanism 16 of the flush.
- this device 10 for opening flush is particularly advantageous because it allows use only elements supplied with low voltage supplied by 118 batteries, the Archimedes thrust constituting the main source of energy for all of the efforts that consume a lot of energy. So, when the installation of such toilets, it is possible to dispense a power supply from the sector.
