Abstract

Couteau-pince multifonctionnel (1) comportant deux côtes latérales (10, 11) servant de poignée pour l'outil, une pluralité d'outils rangés dans un espacement intérieur entre lesdites côtes, ainsi qu'une pince incluant une première mâchoire (18) fixée solidairement auxdites côtes latérales et une seconde mâchoire (14) apte à pivoter par rapport à ladite première mâchoire autour d'un axe transversal (40) à l'extrémité avant de l'outil. Des moyens de blocage (4) de ladite pince en position fermée comprennent au moins un élément de blocage (4) disposé près de cette extrémité avant et apte à être déplacé dans un plan parallèle auxdites côtes (10, 11) entre une position de blocage de la pince en position fermée et une position permettant l'ouverture de la pince.
Avantage : l'élément de blocage peut être manipulé aisément avec le pouce de la main qui tient le couteau-pince. Construction solide.

Description

La présente invention concerne un outil de poche multifonctionnel comportant une pince, selon le préambule de la revendication1. Par outil de poche multifonctionnel, on entend dans le présent document par exemple des couteaux de poche multifonctions, type couteau suisse, canif polyvalent, ou couteau fermant. L'application s'applique cependant aussi à des couteaux à lame coulissante, tels que couteaux à cran d'arrêt, ou à des outils de poche multifonctions dépourvus de couteau. L'invention s'applique en particulier à des couteaux-pinces polyvalents et à des pinces de poches multifonctions.
La demande de brevet EP782903 au nom de la demanderesse, et dont tout le contenu est repris ici par référence, décrit un couteau-pince comportant deux côtes latérales ainsi qu'une pluralité d'ustensiles aptes à coulisser ou à pivoter entre ces deux côtes, l'un des ustensiles étant constitué par une pince universelle. L'une des mâchoires de la pince est fixe tandis que l'autre peut être actionnée par un manche de pince pivotant autour d'un axe reliant les deux côtes. Aucun élément dans le couteau-pince décrit ne permet cependant de maintenir les deux mâchoires en position fermée, en sorte que cette pince peut s'ouvrir de manière impromptue et être alors par exemple difficile à extraire de la poche d'un vêtement.
La figure 1 annexée montre un couteau-pince décrit dans la demande de brevet EP98810028.5 au nom de la demanderesse, dont tout le contenu est repris ici par référence. Le couteau-pince 1 décrit dans ce document comprend une pince universelle dont l'une des mâchoires est fixe et l'autre peut être actionnée par un manche de pince 14. D'autres ustensiles, dans cet exempte une lame de grand couteau 13, un ouvre-boites 15 et un décapsuleur 16 sont également disposés dans un espacement intérieur 12 entre les côtes du couteau-pince et peuvent en être extraits en les faisant pivoter autour d'un axe transversal non représenté, comme dans les canifs pliants ordinaires. L'espacement intérieur 12 est au moins partiellement fermé dans le dos du couteau par des lames ressort élastiques de type connu agissant sur les ustensiles 13 à 16. Une rallonge d'embout 19 et des brucelles non représentées sont en outre logées dans ou contre les côtes 10, 11 du couteau-pince 1. Le couteau-pince de la figure 1 comprend en outre une ouverture à l'extrémité longitudinale du couteau permettant de recevoir divers ustensiles amovibles 3 auxquels l'utilisateur peut accéder en soulevant un couvercle de magasin 2 par-dessus l'espacement intérieur 12 entre les côtes de l'outil. Les ustensiles amovibles sont maintenus par des logements de forme correspondante dans le couvercle 2. Le couvercle 2 peut être désolidarisé du corps du couteau 1 en désengageant les moyens d'encliquetage élastiques 27 des ouvertures correspondantes 17 dans le couteau-pince. Les moyens 27 sont constitués par une charnière synthétique ou en acier, ou par des moyens à ressort ou à clip permettant de libérer et d'accrocher le couvercle 2 au couteau 1 sans outils supplémentaires.
Le couteau-pince décrit dans ce document comprend un crochet 140 fixé à l'arrière du corps du couteau et permettant de bloquer le manche 14 de la pince en position fermée. Dans cette position, le soulèvement du couvercle de magasin 2 est impossible. Le crochet 140 permet donc simultanément de verrouiller le couvercle de magasin 2.
Le crochet 140 constitue un élément relativement fragile, qui avec une force peu importante pourrait être déformé ou même arraché du couteau. Il doit par ailleurs être manipulé de préférence entre le pouce et l'index, qui tiennent la pince généralement près de l'autre extrémité à l'avant de l'outil: il est donc nécessaire de reprendre le couteau-pince en main pour libérer ou bloquer le crochet 140, en sorte qu'une manipulation avec une seule main est très difficile. En outre, ce crochet reste pivotant dans le prolongement du couteau lorsque le manche 14 est décroché, gênant la manipulation de la pince et des autres ustensiles dans l'outil. Enfin, sa largeur est nécessairement supérieure à celle du magasin 2, en sorte qu'il occupe des espacements qui pourraient être utilisés par d'autres lames ou ustensiles et gêne par ailleurs l'extraction de ces ustensiles.
Un but de la présente invention est donc de proposer un outil de poche multifonctionnel comportant une pince amélioré par rapport aux outils de l'art antérieur. En particulier, un but de la présente invention est de proposer un outil dans lequel le problème du blocage de la pince en position fermée est résolu en évitant les inconvénients des dispositifs de l'art antérieur.
Selon l'invention, ces buts sont atteints au moyen d'un dispositif présentant les caractéristiques de la revendication indépendante, des variantes préférentielles étant en outre suggérées qui comportent également les caractéristiques des revendications dépendantes.
L'invention sera mieux comprise à l'aide de la description donnée à titre d'exemple et illustrée par les figures annexées qui montrent:

    • Bien que l'exemple décrit se rapporte plus particulièrement à un couteau-pince muni d'un magasin pour embouts amovibles, il est important de comprendre que l'invention peut également s'appliquer à d'autres types d'outils multifonctionnels pouvant recevoir n'importe quel type d'ustensile amovible, par exemple à des couteaux multifonctionnels de type couteau-pince, à des couteaux munis d'une extension de type clé à mollette ou à des couteaux polyvalents munis d'un sécateur notamment.
    Le couteau-pince 1 comprend dans l'exemple représenté sur la figure 2 une pince universelle dont l'une des mâchoires 18 est fixe et l'autre peut être actionnée par un manche de pince 14. D'autres ustensiles non représentés, par exemple une lame de grand couteau, un ouvre-boítes, un décapsuleur, etc. peuvent également être disposés dans un espacement intérieur entre les côtes du couteau-pince et peuvent en être extraits en les faisant pivoter autour d'un axe transversal non représenté, comme dans les canifs pliants ordinaires. L'espacement intérieur est de préférence au moins partiellement fermé dans le dos du couteau par des lames ressort élastiques de type connu agissant sur ces ustensiles.
    Les côtes 10, 11 du couteau sont de préférence en métal éventuellement recouvert de matière synthétique moulée ou injectée. Elles peuvent cependant aussi être en n'importe quelle autre matière, par exemple en corne, en bois, etc, selon l'aspect esthétique que l'on souhaite donner au couteau. De manière générale, les deux côtes 10, 11 comportent des faces internes parallèles définissant un espacement intérieur dans lequel différents ustensiles sont rangés parallèlement, et des faces externes adaptées ergonomiquement à la main de l'utilisateur, par exemple symétriques.
    L'outil de l'invention comprend de préférence un magasin d'outil 2 muni d'un couvercle permettant de loger plusieurs ustensiles tels qu'embouts ou petits outils par exemple. Les ustensiles peuvent être fixés par exemple dans des logements prévus dans le couvercle 2 et/ou dans le fond ou les faces de l'espacement intérieur 2, ou éventuellement être disposés en vrac dans cet espacement. Le couvercle 2 peut être désolidarisé du corps du couteau 1 en désengageant des moyens d'encliquetage élastiques d'ouvertures correspondantes dans le couteau-pince. Les moyens d'encliquetage sont par exemple constitués par une charnière synthétique ou en acier, comme représenté sur la figure 1; d'autres modes de réalisation, par exemple des moyens à ressort ou à clip, peuvent facilement être imaginés par l'homme du métier pour libérer et accrocher le couvercle 2 au couteau 1 sans outils supplémentaires. Dans une variante non illustrée, le couvercle 2 n'est pas complètement amovible, mais reste solidaire du couteau 1 par exemple par une charnière sur une des extrémités longitudinales du couvercle. Dans cette variante, seule l'autre extrémité du couvercle de magasin peut être soulevée pour accéder aux ustensiles. Cette variante présente l'avantage de diminuer le risque de perte du couvercle, au prix toutefois d'un dégagement plus malaisé des ustensiles.
    Le couteau-pince de l'invention comporte un élément de blocage 4 de la pince constitué dans cet exemple de réalisation par deux plaques solidaires sur les deux faces du couteau. Dans la position représentée sur les figures 2 et 3, ces moyens d'encliquetage sont complètement repoussés vers l'extrémité du couteau, en position de blocage; l'ouverture de la pince est dans cette position bloquée par l'engagement d'un tenon en saillie sur chaque côté de la poignée 14 dans une coulisse 42 sur chaque plaque de l'élément de blocage 4, empêchant le pivotement de la poignée autour de l'axe 40. La pince ne peut donc pas être ouverte lorsque l'élément 4 est dans cette position. La poignée 14 en position repliée bloque elle-même l'ouverture du magasin d'outils 2. Une variante pourrait cependant également facilement être imaginée en cas de besoin qui permettrait à l'utilisateur d'accéder aux outils dans le magasin 2 même lorsque la poignée de la pince est bloquée.
    Pour libérer la pince, l'utilisateur déplace l'élément de blocage 4 en le tirant par exemple avec le pouce agissant sur une zone 44 contre l'arrière du couteau, dans la position indiquée sur la figure 4. La zone 44 est de préférence rainurée ou du moins rendue antidérapante. Le déplacement de l'élément de blocage 4 est guidé sur chaque face du couteau par une saillie 19 du couteau engagé dans une coulisse 41 de l'élément 4, ainsi que par l'axe de pivotement de la pince 40 engagé lui-même dans une coulisse 43. Ces éléments permettent un déplacement simultané des deux plaques de l'élément de blocage 4 dans leur propre plan et dans selon la direction longitudinale du couteau. On constatera à cet égard que l'élément de blocage 4 peut aisément être manipulé avec le pouce de la main qui tient le couteau-pince 1, en sorte qu'une manipulation avec une seule main est aisément possible. En reculant de cotte manière l'élément de blocage 4, il est possible de dégager sur chaque face la saillie 140 de la coulisse correspondante 42, et ainsi de libérer le pivotement de la mâchoire 14.
    Un ressort de compression non représenté est de préférence disposé de manière à repousser la poignée 14 et à provoquer ainsi l'ouverture partielle de la pince dès la libération du blocage, en une position intermédiaire permettant déjà de saisir ou de sectionner des objets de faible diamètre tout en gardant le couteau-pince 1 et la poignée 14 dans une seule main. Dans une variante, l'ouverture partielle de la pince peut être actionnée par les lamesressort déjà évoquées, mais non représentées, du couteau-pince 1.
    Pour obtenir une ouverture plus complète de la pince, comme représenté sur la figure 5, il est nécessaire d'écarter manuellement la poignée 14 du corps du couteau, le frottement des deux mâchoires l'une contre l'autre permettant de maintenir cette position plus ouverte. Pour refermer la pince, la poignée 14 est rabaissée contre le corps du couteau, en agissant contre l'action du ressort de compression, respectivement des lames ressort, pour fermer complètement les mâchoires.
    L'homme du métier comprendra qu'il est également possible d'utiliser un élément de blocage de la pince différent de l'élément 4 représenté, tout en restant dans le cadre de cette invention. Par exemple, il serait possible d'utiliser un élément de blocage comprenant une seule plaque d'un seul côté de l'outil. En outre, il serait possible d'utiliser un élément de blocage qui serait déplacé par un mouvement de rotation, par exemple autour de l'axe 40, plutôt que par un mouvement de translation, simplement en adaptant la forme des coulisses 41, 42 et 43. Le nombre et la forme des coulisses de guidage et des saillies correspondantes 19, 40, 140 peuvent par ailleurs être modifiés assez librement, un guidage optimal étant toutefois assuré par au moins deux coulisses sur chaque face de l'élément 4. Il serait en outre également possible d'inverser la position des saillies et des coulisses sur le corps de l'outil et sur l'élément de blocage 4.
    L'homme du métier comprendra que les caractéristiques supplémentaires décrites notamment dans les documents susmentionnés EP782903 et EP98810028.5 peuvent être ajoutées ou combinées aux caractéristiques de l'outil décrit. En particulier, il est possible de prévoir dans les faces latérales de l'outil de l'invention une ouverture pour des embouts telle que suggérée dans EP782903, ou de configurer le magasin 2 selon l'enseignement de EP98810028.5 et de la figure 1. Le lecteur est donc expressément prié de se référer à ces deux documents pour en combiner les caractéristiques avec celle de l'invention. Par ailleurs, l'homme du métier n'aura pas de difficulté non plus à adapter d'autres caractéristiques ou ustensiles de couteaux de poches connus au couteau de l'invention.

    Claims (10)

    1. Outil de poche multifonctionnel comportant deux côtes latérales (10, 11) servant de poignée pour l'outil, une pluralité d'outils rangés entre lesdites côtes, une pince incluant une première mâchoire (18) fixée solidairement auxdites côtes latérales et une seconde mâchoire (14) apte à pivoter par rapport à ladite première mâchoire autour d'un axe transversal (40) à l'extrémité avant de l'outil, ainsi que des moyens de blocage (4) de ladite pince en position fermée,
      caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de blocage de la pince comprennent au moins un élément de blocage (4) disposé à ladite extrémité avant et apte à être déplacé dans un plan parallèle auxdites côtes (10, 11) entre une position de blocage de la pince en position fermée et une position permettant l'ouverture de la pince.
    2. Outil de poche selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce que ledit élément de blocage (4) comprend au moins une plaque apte à être coulissée dans son propre plan parallèlement auxdites côtes.
    3. Outil de poche selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce que ledit élément de blocage (4) comprend deux plaques mutuellement reliées et disposées de chaque côté dudit outil à l'extérieur desdites côtes.
    4. Outil de poche selon l'une des revendications 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce que le coulissement de ladite au moins une plaque est guidé par au moins un élément de guidage (19) solidaire desdites côtes.
    5. Outil de poche selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce que le coulissement de ladite plaque est guidé par un élément de guidage sur chaque face dudit élément de blocage (4).
    6. Outil de poche selon l'une des revendications 3 à 5, caractérisé en ce que le coulissement de ladite plaque est guidé par au moins un élément de guidage (40) solidaire dudit axe transversal.
    7. Outil de poche selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que en ce que le blocage de la pince en position fermée est effectué par au moins une portion (140) de la poignée (14) de la pince apte à être engagée ou dégagée dudit élément de blocage (4) lorsque ce dernier est déplacé.
    8. Outil de poche selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que en ce que ledit élément de guidage (4) peut être manipulé au moyen d'une portion de saisie (44).
    9. Outil de poche selon la revendication précédente, caractérisé en ce que ladite portion de saisie (44) se trouve sur la face dudit outil opposée à celle comportant la poignée de la pince (14), de façon à permettre la manipulation de l'élément de blocage avec le pouce.
    10. Outil de poche selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que au moins une partie de ladite pluralité d'outils (3) est disposée dans un magasin d'outils (2) recouvert par un couvercle,
      et en ce que ledit couvercle (2) ne peut pas être ouvert lorsque ledit élément de blocage (4) est placé dans ladite position de blocage.
