Definitions
- the invention relates to a golf course device with at least one target field and a replacement field spaced from it.
- a tee is turned from a tee to a ball assigned to the distant target hole.
- the ball lands the first shot, not in the target hole, but in the immediate vicinity, the target field.
- the player then goes to the target field to get the ball with one or more hits to the target hole.
- a The golf course complex contains a number of such courses. Because golf balls with big Stunner must be struck if multiple tracks from different Players should be able to play at the same time, the tracks should be sufficiently spacious be separated from each other, so that the player is endangered by flying Golf balls can be largely excluded. Such a golf course claims hence a large area.
- the creation of a replacement field to a target field makes walking the fairway dispensable.
- the ball can be punched in on the target field essential characteristics of the replicated field are laid and the different tracks can be close together or overlap.
- the replacement field is preferably close to the tee field.
- game essentials Properties of the target field and the simulated replacement field are, in particular, the type of soil and, in the case of non-level target fields, their topography. Further simulated properties can in particular shape and size of the target field.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a golf course facility, which is such a reliable reproduction of the relative ball position enabled with reasonable effort.
- a scanning image recording device instead of a video camera, a scanning image recording device, the target field in one or two coordinate directions scanned in the manner of a scanner.
- the image capture device can also have multiple cameras or scanners for different Contain partial areas of a larger target field.
- a simple evaluation is made on the basis of the target field to the tee or image transferred from the target field situation to the replacement field and purely visual reproduction of the ball position on the replacement field or partially visual by deriving relative position coordinates from the displayed image, for example by means of a marker which can be moved in the image area and Reuse of such position coordinates.
- the image evaluation is preferably carried out to determine the relative ball position but automatically, without the user having to do anything.
- automatic Image evaluation devices are in themselves from other technical areas as known for example from traffic surveillance and therefore here in Detail not described.
- the image evaluation devices provided in the present situation can be comparatively simple because the Target field situation shows only a slight complexity regarding the evaluation.
- the predominant image content reflects the target field as such and is essentially constant and the relevant image changes consist in the addition of a new ball. It is therefore advantageous in the evaluation a comparison in time of the image obtained by the recording device consecutive pictures made and just a change of the image content is considered as a new ball.
- Another Check whether the image change is a ball or another Object, for example a leaf or a bird, can advantageously be an analysis of the movement behavior of the image change and / or include an evaluation of the color information. especially the Color information provides a simple criterion for distinguishing between different ones Objects.
- the distinctive character can be strengthened by the Ball material at least superficially one with natural or coordinated artificial Illumination particularly significant spectral reflectance or absorption capacity shows. Another criterion for distinguishing a new the ball that hits the target field can also be related to time a discount to this target field.
- the receiving device is preferably at a height of more than 4 m Target field arranged, which on the one hand increases the probability of one Ball to be hit is reduced and on the other hand too large position measurement errors because the observation angle is too flat against the target field surface or part of it can be avoided.
- the pennant pole in the target hole can have two or more image acquisition elements (camera, scanner) on separate Positions can be provided that differentiate the target field Record directions and their main viewing directions (middle viewing directions) cross over the field. If the image fields of two image recording elements can overlap or essentially completely cover also the relative ones derived separately from two separate image acquisition elements Ball position to be compared for agreement. If they do not match can, for example, a misalignment of one or both image recording elements are present and a readjustment or preferably a recalibration to be necessary.
- Reference markings on the target field in the monitoring area of the monitoring devices be provided.
- An obvious marker can be given through the target hole.
- additional further reference markings which are, for example, by color and / or shape and / or reflectivity etc. sufficiently clear from Differentiate background and other objects, be provided.
- the determination the relative ball position is then preferably not related the center of the picture or a main line of sight or the like, but only with respect the reference marks, whose position in the target field changes in the event of a misalignment of an image pickup element does not change.
- the exact reproduction of the relative ball position on the replacement field will made according to the invention by a projection device on the replacement field, which projects a light mark on the replacement field, the position the light mark on the replacement field by controlling the projection device is adjustable.
- the analog or digital control values for controlling the Projection device can, for example, by keyboard input Moving a marking which can be moved in an image area, the Image area preferably contains a representation of the current target field situation, or specified by other operating devices.
- the control values are based on the position information of an automatic Image evaluation of the target field situation derived and directly or after confirmation fed by a user to the projection device. The user all you need to do is place a ball at the point indicated by the light mark, to be able to continue the game in a precise reproduction of the target field situation.
- the light source of the projection device is preferably one above the Substitute field, in particular with a light source arranged at a height of more than 4 m narrow beam concentration and adjustable beam alignment.
- the light source can, for example, an incandescent lamp with a highly focused reflector or a Laser that expands to harmless power density for eye safety should be include.
- the projection device can in turn have a plurality of spaced light sources contain, the illuminable areas of different sections of the replacement field can cover to positioning errors due to too flat beam incidence against the surface of the replacement field.
- the through the two or more areas that can be illuminated by light sources can also overlap or cover up, thereby avoiding shadowing or, at the same time Marking by two light sources, adjustment errors in the case of non-coinciding ones Markings can be recognized and corrected.
- For calibrating a projection device can provide reference points in or at the replacement field be, by specifying appropriate reference control values by the Light mark can be illuminated.
- the reference points allow both the verification a correct adjustment of the projection device as well as the correction misalignment and regular calibration, for example by setting the light mark to a reference point and then the current one Control values are adopted as reference control values.
- a reference point the target hole can be in the replacement field. Preferably are additional or instead there are other reference points on the replacement field.
- transmission devices can known type, especially data lines or wireless Facilities such as radio or infrared transceivers are provided his.
- data exchange can also be done via a central point, where then common image evaluations for all railways can be carried out.
- monitoring devices and the display devices can, for example, masts, bridges or the like. be provided.
- the required mechanical and electrical means are known to the person skilled in the art.
- the figure shows the sections essential for the explanation of the invention a course of a golf course with tee field (AF), target field (ZF) and Substitute field (EF).
- Tee-off field (AF) and replacement field (EF) are in the immediate vicinity arranged so that the player can play the game without major interruption can perform.
- a ball hit by the teeing ground (AF) arrives at a ball position (BP) in the target field (ZF) to rest.
- the target field on one spanning bridge construction (K) lighting fixtures (LQ) are attached, which allow the game to operate even at dusk or in the dark.
- At the Bridge construction is also a video camera at a height of 6 m, for example (BA), whose image area (BB) encloses the entire target field.
- Central (Z) transmits, which according to predefinable criteria, for example Color, movement behavior, size, time connection with discount etc. an image change checks whether these are added to a new one Ball is due. If this is considered correct, the relative ball position (BP) determined within the image.
- the ball position can in the case of a pixel grid of the image area divided into rows and columns, for example in the form of a pair of numbers from the row number and column number can be specified.
- Position errors when the camera orientation is adjusted To avoid the ball position on the image position of one or several reference markings (RM) and / or the image position of the target hole (H) related determined and given as relative ball position.
- the reference marks can be inside or outside the target field (ZF), but must be covered by the image area (BB) of the camera.
- the evaluation devices that are provided in the example in the control center (Z) but also arranged in the target field, the tee box or the replacement field can determine a relative ball position and transmit this to one Control unit (BE) and a projection device (PV) in the replacement field (EF).
- BE Control unit
- PV projection device
- EF replacement field
- the relative ball position in the form of a Coordinate value pairs are displayed. But it can also do that Target field with a ball position marker, the current target field image, etc. on one Screen to be displayed.
- Using a keyboard on the operating device (BE) various functions of the system can be called up if necessary.
- One on another bridge construction for example again in one Projection device (PV) attached at a height of 6 m above the replacement field with a tightly bundled light beam (LS) a light mark (LM) on the replacement field (EF) according to that of the evaluation devices in the central office (Z) or control values specified via the operating device (BE).
- the alignment of the light beam (LS) can be changed via the control values, which is caused by the arrow cross is indicated in the illustration, so that every position within of the replacement field can be reached by the light marker.
- the exact adjustment and Control of the positioning device can be checked and the control can be calibrated by placing the light mark (LM) on a reference position like that Target hole (EH) of the replacement field or one of several reference points (RP) in the or is judged at the replacement field.
- LM light mark
- EH Target hole
- RP reference points
- the tee box and the replacement field can also be used to carry out the Play operations at dusk or in the dark with lighting equipment be provided.
