Abstract

Bei einer Elektrokettensäge mit einem in einem Maschinengehäuse (10) aufgenommenen Elektromotor (33) zum Antreiben einer Sägekette, mit zwei am Maschinengehäuse angeordneten Handgriffen (11,13), mit mindestens einer an einem der Handgriffe (11,13) festgelegten Schalttaste (17,20) zum Schalten eines im Stromkreis des Elektromotors (33) angeordneten elektrischen Schalters (18), mit einer Kettenbremse zum schnellen, mechanischen Festbremsen der Sägekette und mit einem vor dem vorderen Handgriff (13) am Maschinengehäuse (10) schwenkbar gelagerten Handschutz (14), der die Kettenbremse in seiner einen Schwenkposition (B) aktiviert und in seiner anderen Schwenkposition (A) löst, ist zum Zwecke des sofortigen Abschaltens des Elektromotors (33) beim Aktivieren der Kettenbremse ohne zusätzlichen Schalter im Stromkreis des Elektromotors (33) aus der Schwenkbewegung des Handschutzes (14) von seiner einen die Kettenbremse lösenden Schwenkposition (A) in die andere Schwenkposition (B) eine von der Stellung der mindestens einen Schalttaste (17,20) unabhängige Betätigung des elektrischen Schalters (18) zum Öffnen des Stromkreises abgeleitet.
