Diese Exzentrizität hat zur Folge, daß jeweils ein Spurkranz während der Fahrt selbst auf geraden Strecken ständig an der Schienenkopf-Flanke schleift. Hinzu kommt, daß die zylindrischen Laufflächen der Räder die Kurvenfahrt nicht erleichtern, wie das bei den bekannten symmetrischen Eisenbahn-Radsätzen mit konischen Laufflächen der Räder der Fall ist. Dieses ermöglicht bei Radlaufflächen mit nach außen abnehmenden Durchmessern in geraden Strecken den bekannten abgehackten Sinuslauf und es bewirkt wegen der ungleichen Laulkreisdurchmesser beim Anlauf an das äußere Führungselement auch eine Erleichterung der Kurvenfahrt und verringert die Entgleisungsgefahr. Der exzentrische Kraftangriff des Zugseiles bewirkt dabei in bekannter Weise beim zweiachsigen Fahrzeug eine seitliche Verschiebung zur Gegenseite hin, beim Drehgestellfahrzeug hingegen eine gegenläufige Verdrehung der beiden Drehgestelle im Gleis. Die ungleich groß ausgeführten Nenndurchmesser der beiden Räder kompensieren aber einen Teil des exzentrischen Kraftangriffes des Zugseiles.
