    4. Heater according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that discrete conducting track portions (6) are arranged uniformly over the length of a resistive track (5).
    5. Process for manufacturing a heater according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it includes the following steps:
      a) screen printing of a heating resistive track (5) on a substrate (1);
      b) screen printing of at least one conducting track portion (6), of lower resistivity than the resistivity of the heating track, on a region (A) of the heating track (5); and
      c) fastening of a thermostat (3) in the said region (A) of the heating track (5).
    6. Process according to Claim 5, characterized in that, in step b), electrical connection pads (7) for connecting the heating track (5) are also screen-printed.
    7. Heating base, especially for an electric kettle, characterized in that it includes a heater according to one of Claims 1 to 4.
