Description

The invention relates to a folder with two over one on his Outside and its inside by a profile rail reinforced covers and connected covers with one attached to the inside of the back of the portfolio Ring binder mechanism.

AS 1 259 291 is designed as a ring binder Wallet of the above type known, in which the folder cover interconnecting portfolio backs outside and inside due to different radii of curvature before they are attached having profile rails made of elastically deformable plastic is reinforced, with the outer profile rail provided with integral retaining pins for the ring binder mechanism is. The known portfolio is unable for several reasons to fully satisfy. A first reason is that the Profile rails from only slightly curved plastic strips are formed, the stiffness of which is poor leaves. The limited stiffness proves to be disadvantageous especially if the strips are longer than that Ring binder mechanics are. In the latter case, namely with a Spread the plastic strips at the top and bottom End of the portfolio spine. Is problematic also the fact that the strips before joining have different radii of curvature. This leads to, that when assembling the rails and the ring binder mechanism in the area of the system of the longitudinal edges in the initial state more curved outer profile rail against the Portfolio spine is notched on this, which carries the risk of cracking. The disadvantage is finally, that the integral retaining pin on the outer Profile rail their manufacture as an extruded profile rail make impossible and that the strength of the plastic retaining pin also leaves something to be desired.

The invention has for its object a folder in Considered type to create that over a portfolio which is characterized by great stability. The object is achieved in that the Profile rails to increase the rigidity of the portfolio back have serving side webs and in the region of their ends are connected to each other by a cover cap. The portfolio according to the invention is characterized by a portfolio back great rigidity. Because the rails on their Ends are connected to each other by cover caps they are, as it were, a unit over their entire length that Portfolio spine not only reinforced, but also its top and protects the lower ends from damage.

In Fig. 1 is formed as a table flip chart folder in displayed state. The folder has two Lids 1 and 2, which are connected to each other via a portfolio back 3 are connected. With the outer edge facing away from the portfolio back 3 4 of the lid 2 is a flap via a film hinge 5 6 connected, the distance from the film hinge 5 with a Support and holding stop 7 is provided, which is an abutment for the outer edge 8 of the cover facing away from the portfolio back 3 1 forms. With 9 are parallel to the film hinge 5 and to stop 7 extending grooves designated, which also usable as an abutment for the outer edge 8 of the cover 1 are. Lids 1 and 2, folder back 3 and flap 6 consist of two sections of film on their edges and in the area of film hinge 5 and two others the portfolio back 3 film hinges connecting lids 1 and 2 10 and 11 are welded together. The lids 1 and 2 and the end 12 of the flap 6 are by not shown Cardboard inserts reinforced. In the area of the portfolio back 3 can be dispensed with a cardboard insert, because the Stability of the portfolio back achieved by other means becomes.

A ring binder mechanism 13 is connected to the portfolio back 3, whose rings 14 through slots 15 one made of elastic Plastic existing cover 16 with an arcuate Protruding cross section. The cover 16 and one between the Ring binder mechanism 13 and the portfolio back 3 arranged profile rail 17 form parts of a housing 18 for the ring binder mechanism 13. As best seen in FIGS. 2 and 5, is the profile rail forming the lower part of the housing 18 17 with hollow side webs 19, 20 and more arranged on its underside, to increase the rigidity serving longitudinal ribs 21.

In order to increase the length L o of the slots 15 to a dimension L 1 , which is sufficient to be able to insert the rings 14 through the slots 15, the cover 16 is transferred into the shape shown in FIG. 4 and then onto the lower part of the Unclipped housing 18. In the production of the folder, however, the cover 16 is only attached after the profile rail 17 and the ring binder mechanism 13 have been connected to the folder back 3 together with a profile rail 22 by means of rivets 23. When the folder is closed, the profile rail 22 forms the main part of the visible folder back and, not least because of its oblique flanks 24, 25, can be used as a grip strip. In the open state of the folder shown in FIG. 1, the sloping flanks 24, 25 of the support profile rail 22, which are matched to the normal spreading angle of the covers 1, 2 in the flipchart position, fulfill an additional function, which consists in that they end up resting against them Support covers 1 and 2 and thereby noticeably increase the stability of the flipchart. The profiled rail 22 formed by a section of an extruded hollow profile likewise has hollow lateral webs 26 and 27 which form locking grooves 28, 29 for receiving a viewing strip 30 with inwardly curved edges 31, 32, into which a labeling strip 33 can be inserted.

The hollow webs 19, 20 of the profile rail 17 and the hollow ones Crosspieces 26, 27 of the profiled rail 22 can be fastened use of cover caps 34, with the help of which the open End walls of the housing 18 and the open ends of the rails 17 and 22 can be closed. The cover caps 34 are provided with retaining pins 35 and 36 for this purpose, their cross section to the cross section of the clear interior the hollow webs 19.20; 26.27 adapted in a way are that the retaining pins 35,36 the cover caps 34 non-positively hold in the docks. In addition to their covering function the cover caps 34 perform an additional function, which consists in the end-to-end cohesion of the Promote rails 17 and 22. To increase strength the connection between the cover caps 34 and the profile rails 17,22 serves one at the free end of a boom 37 arranged locking lug 38, which in an associated in the Drawing not shown hole in the bottom area of the profile rail 22 can snap into place.
