Claims (16)

  1. System for making an optical glass from a blank, of the type comprising a device (2) for laying an adapter (11) on the blank (1) with a view to its transfer and its mounting in a device (3) for cutting the blank, controlled with the aid of cutting information, so as to make the optical glass, the said system comprising:
    - means of acquisition (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) of the characteristics of the glass to be made,
    - means of support (10; 20) of the blank (1), in the device (2) for laying the adapter, which means are associated with means (2a) for laying the adapter on the blank,
    - means (14, 15) for emitting/receiving radiation for analysing the blank, which means are disposed in the device (2) for laying the adapter on the blank,
    - means of acquisition (4, 16) of the characteristics of the blank, by analysis of the signals delivered by the means of emission/reception (14, 15) of the analysis radiation, the said characteristics of the blank comprising data relating to the optical characterization thereof, and
    - means (4) for determining cutting information in a coordinate system centred on the axis of the cutting device (3), for controlling this device so as to make the glass from the blank,
    the said system being characterized in that the characteristics of the blank furthermore comprise data regarding the shape thereof.
  2. System according to Claim 1, characterized in that the means (14, 15) of emission/reception of the analysis radiation are disposed on either side of the means of support (10; 20) of the blank and in that they are transparent to this radiation.
  3. System according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the characteristics of the glass to be made furthermore comprise data relating to the shape thereof and data relating to the optical characterization thereof.
  4. System according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means (21, 22, 25) of relative displacement of the means of support (20) of the blank (1) and of the adapter (11) so as to lay this adapter (11) at a predetermined location of the blank (1).
  5. System according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises an information processing unit (4) for determining the cutting information, and linked:
    1) to means (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) of input of the characteristics of the glass to be made, so as to acquire these characteristics,
    2) to means (16) for processing the output signals from the means of emission/reception (14, 15) of the analysis radiation, so as to acquire the characteristics of the blank, and
    3) to means (17) forming an interface for controlling the cutting device (3) so as to drive the operation thereof on the basis of the cutting information.
  6. System according to Claim 5, characterized in that the information processing unit (4) is adapted so as to monitor the registering of the glass to be made in the blank (1) and the registering of the adapter (11) in the glass to be made therein.
  7. System according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the means of input of the characteristics of the glass to be made comprise means (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) of input of information relating to the frame in which the glass is to be disposed and to the patient for whom the glass is intended.
  8. System according to Claim 7, characterized in that the means of input of information relating to the frame comprise means of storage (6) of a frame database.
  9. System according to Claim 7, characterized in that the means of input of information relating to the frame comprise means of gauging of the frame or of a corresponding template, wherein the glass is to be disposed.
  10. System according to Claim 7, 8 or 9, characterized in that the means of input of the information relating to the patient for whom the glass is intended comprise a man/machine interface (7, 8, 9).
  11. System according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the means (14, 15) of emission/reception of the analysis radiation comprise an automatic focometer.
  12. System according to any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the means of emission/reception of the analysis radiation comprise a camera associated with a light source.
  13. System according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means (18) of activation of the means (2a) of laying the adapter on the blank, so as to automatically lay this adapter on this blank.
  14. System according to any one of Claims 4 to 13, characterized in that the means of relative displacement of the means of support of the blank (1) and of the adapter (11) comprise an X-Y traversing table (20) for supporting the blank, the displacements of which- are controlled by activation members (21, 22) driven by the information processing unit (4).
  15. System according to Claim 14, characterized in that the means of relative displacement comprise a member (25) for the angular orientation of the adapter (11), driven by the information processing unit (4).
  16. System according to Claim 14 or 15, characterized in that the members (21, 22) for activating the traversing table and the member (25) for orienting the adapter comprise electric motors.
