Definitions

  • the invention relates to a Dispensdüse for applying a viscous adhesive to a substrate according to claim 1.
  • the viscous bonding adhesive For metering the viscous bonding adhesive, it is conveyed from a storage container into a more or less cylindrical receiving region of a so-called dispensing nozzle. On a discharge side of the nozzle at least one outlet opening is present, through which the Adhesive metered dispensed. It is also often provided that a plurality of outlet openings arranged in a specific pattern are present, so that a predetermined adhesive pattern can be applied. In order to dose a certain amount of the adhesive, a certain pressure pulse is applied to the adhesive, for example in the reservoir. Since there is a dependence between the required size and duration of the pressure pulse and the viscosity of the liquid, the cross-sectional area of the outlet opening and other parameters, the required pressure pulse can be substantially predetermined. In this regard, reference is made to the publication "Dispensing Technology, The Key to High-quality / High Speed Bonding, ESEC Process Information", the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
  • the slot die contains a, for example, trapezoidal or triangular widening distribution chamber and a plurality of storage channels.
  • the invention is therefore the object of developing a Dispensdüse so that the Nachropf supplements the nozzles and the predictability of the parameters of the required pressure pulses are improved.
  • a means for positive guidance of the viscous adhesive is provided in the feed, through which a front of the adhesive receives a predetermined flow direction when filling the nozzle, so that the adhesive substantially all located in the feed Air in the direction of the at least one outlet opening supplies.
  • a "viscous" liquid is to be understood as meaning a liquid whose viscosity at room temperature is at least 1 Pas.
  • the forced operation can be designed differently.
  • the positive guide has a baffle arranged in the feed channel with respect to the nozzle plate.
  • chicane is meant a flow guide element with which the usable for the flow of the adhesive cross-sectional area of the feed channel is reduced.
  • the liquid front initially strikes the nozzle plate in the regions which are at the greatest distance from a longitudinal axis of the nozzle plate.
  • the positive guide directs the adhesive to a central longitudinal axis or the center of the nozzle plate. In this way, it is possible to enclose the air which is still present on the nozzle plate as a whole in the feed channel by the adhesive and to guide it to at least one of the outlet openings when the adhesive strikes the adhesive.
  • the adhesive can thereby obtain a flow direction which has a component orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle plate.
  • Fig. 1 is a section of a Die Bonder 1 shown, can be used in the dispensing nozzles according to the invention.
  • the dispensing nozzle 2 "shown on the die bonder is a nozzle known per se with a single outlet opening, and an adhesive is introduced from a storage container 3 into the dispensing nozzle 2".
  • a pressure required for this purpose is exerted on the adhesive by a compressed-air impact in the storage container 3 which is predetermined in time and in its amplitude.
  • the amount of air required for this purpose is supplied via a line 4.
  • an in Fig. 2 illustrated Dispensdüse 2 ', in which from a reservoir, not shown, an adhesive 5' is introduced.
  • the Dispensdüse has a cross-sectionally circular and to a nozzle plate 6 'towards expanding supply channel 7', which is formed by a substantially conical wall surface 8 'of an insert 9' of Dispensdüse 2 '.
  • the feed channel 7 ' ends on the discharge side of the nozzle plate 6'.
  • a total of seventeen outlet openings 10' are introduced, of which in the illustration of Fig. 2 seven are visible.
  • the outlet openings 10 ' a dispensing tube 11' is arranged in each case.
  • the front 12 'of the adhesive has already hit the center of the nozzle plate 6', ie the circular area of the nozzle plate 6 'provided with outlet openings 10'.
  • the front 12 ' since the portion of the front 12 ', which is located between the outlet openings 10' and the wall surface 8 ', has not yet fully hit, the front has 12' already enclosed between the outlet openings 10 'and the wall surface 8' air 15 '. Even when the front 12 'continues to flow, this air 15' can no longer escape and remains trapped in the region between the edge 16 'formed by the nozzle plate 6' and the wall surface 8 'and the outlet openings 10'. As will be readily apparent, these air pockets will be all the greater as the spacing of the exit openings 10 'from the edge 16' increases.
  • an insert 9 is arranged in a substantially cylindrical housing 17 of a Dispensdüse 2, in which a feed channel 7 is formed. Above the feed channel 7 is a filled with an adhesive 5 reservoir 3.
  • a pressure piston 18 is arranged, which is actuated by a controller not shown in detail and by a corresponding mechanism of the Die Bonders 1.
  • the feed channel 7 of the dispensing nozzle 2 has a substantially circular cross-section.
  • a plurality of outlet openings 10 are introduced, which are arranged in an approximately symmetrical pattern to each other (see also Fig. 5 ).
  • the outlet openings 10 are each a cylindrical dispensing tube 11.
  • Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 clarify that the feed channel 7 immediately before the outlet openings 10 a Cross-sectional area which is far greater than a cross-sectional area of each one outlet opening.
  • a chicane 21 is arranged along its longitudinal and symmetrical axis 20.
  • the baffle 21 is formed substantially as a concentric cone in the feed channel 7, which widened towards the nozzle plate 6 back.
  • the baffle with three struts 22 is mounted on the nozzle plate 6.
  • a forced guidance for the adhesive is formed between the baffle 21 and the wall surface 8 of the feed channel 7 on the one hand and the baffle 21 and the nozzle plate 6 on the other hand.
  • This forced guidance of the dispensing nozzle 2 has a substantially annular closed first portion 23, which results from the distance between the wall surfaces 8 of the feed channel 7 and the lateral surface of the chicane 21.
  • a second section 24 of the positive guidance results from the distance of the nozzle plate 6 to the base 25 of the chicane 21.
  • a width B of the first and second sections 23, 24 of the forced operation is substantially constant and equal.
  • an annularly closed flow front which bears against both the nozzle plate 6 and the base 25 of the chicane 21, is formed in the second section 24 of the positive guide.
  • This front flows at all points substantially uniformly from outside to inside on the longitudinal axis 20 of the nozzle plate 6.
  • the flow direction of the front 12 extends orthogonally or radially with respect to the longitudinal axes of the outlet openings 10. In this case, the front 12 pushes the remaining air still present in the nozzle 2 15 to the outlet openings 10.
  • the forced operation should be designed so that the annular front 12 directly above, but at least in the region of one of the outlet openings 10, closes.
  • the front closes over the outlet opening 10 a, which extends along the longitudinal axis 20 of the nozzle 2.
  • "closing" means that both an upper side of the nozzle plate 6 and the base surface 25 are substantially completely wetted.
  • the configuration of the chicane may deviate from the embodiment shown above, for example due to a different distribution of the outlet openings on the nozzle plate or to achieve certain flow conditions.
  • Fig. 6 another possible variant according to the invention shown.
  • the chicane 21 is formed in the form of a disc. Since here are all outlet openings 10 outside the center of the nozzle plate 6, the positive guidance in the chicane 21 along the longitudinal axis 20 also has an additional central third section 26. This is formed in the form of a continuous recess through which the adhesive also passes to the nozzle plate. Thus, when filling this dispensing nozzle, two flow fronts 12 form as soon as the adhesive strikes the chicane 21.
  • the one flow front passes through the here also present first section 23 between the wall surface 8 of the feed channel and the chicane 21 in the second section 24 in which it flows in an annular closed toward the center of the nozzle plate 6.
  • the second flow front passes through the third section 26 onto the nozzle plate 6 and then flows in the second section 24, starting from the center of the nozzle plate, radially outward toward the other flow front.
  • the housing 17 consists of an upper housing part 17a and the nozzle plate 6.
  • the housing part 17a includes the shape-determining function of the insert 9 with a.
  • the housing part 17a has four recesses 30, in the cam 31 of the chicane 21 engage.
  • a sealing ring 32 with a radius of 14 ( Fig. 4 ) corresponding concave surface 33 is provided.
  • the sealing ring 32 is made of rubber, for example.
  • a closure piece 34 is preferably provided with a bayonet closure, so that after inserting the chicane 21, the sealing ring 32 and the nozzle plate 6 in the housing part 17a, the closure piece 34 are secured by means of a rotation on the housing part 17a can.
  • the baffle 21 has four pins 35 against which the nozzle plate 6 presses in the mounted state.
