Suction roll according to Claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the suction roll cover (1) is at least partly enclosed from the outside by a pressure or vacuum box (15), in order to apply pressure to the space between the suction roll cover (1) and the supporting body (2), including the radial bores provided in the suction roll cover (1).
  14. Suction roll according to one of Claims 11 to 13, characterized in that the space between the suction roll cover (1) and the supporting body (2) is subdivided, in the radial direction, by at least one stationary dividing wall (5) which extends in the direction of the roll axis and is sealed off with respect to the inner circumference of the suction roll cover (1), into at least two axial chambers (A, B), of which at least one is connected to a pressure source via a connection at at least one roll end.
  15. Suction roll according to one of Claims 11 to 14, characterized in that the supporting body (2), over its entire axial length, does not contribute to subdividing the relevant space into at least two axial chambers (A, B).
  16. Suction roll according to one of Claims 11 to 14, characterized in that the supporting body (2), over its axial length, contributes to subdividing the relevant space into at least two axial chambers (A; B, C) and, preferably by means of resilient sealing elements, interacts with at least one dividing wall (5).
  17. Suction roll according to one of Claims 11 to 16, characterized in that the supporting body (2) and the suction roll cover (1) can be displaced radially relative to each other, in particular in the bearing areas at the roll ends, seals permitting such a relative movement being provided in the area of these roll ends, and in that the direction of the relevant relative lifting movement preferably coincides with the direction of action of the resulting loading and of the at least one inner supporting element (4) arranged between the yoke (3) and the supporting body (2).
  18. Suction roll according to Claim 17, characterized in that separate means are provided in order firstly to set and/or to press the suction roll cover (1) against an opposing surface preferably formed by an opposing roll (6, 7) and secondly to set and/or to press the supporting body (2) against the inner circumference of the suction roll cover (1).
  19. Suction roll according to Claim 18, characterized in that the means for setting and/or pressing the supporting body (2) comprise at least one supporting element (4), which can be lifted and is arranged between the yoke (3) and the supporting body (2), and are designed in such a way that the supporting body (2) can execute a lifting movement over its entire axial length.
  20. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to Claims 11 and 15, characterized in that the supporting body (2) is provided on its outer surface with circumferential grooves, spirally circumferential grooves, elevations, bumps, recesses and/or the like, located in a respective radial plane, so that the result is a discontinuous contact line or surface between the supporting body (2) and the inner circumference of the suction roll cover (1).
  21. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to Claims 11 and 13, characterized in that the suction roll cover (1) is provided on its inner circumferential surface with inner circumferential grooves, spirally circumferential grooves, elevations, bumps, recesses and/or the like, located in a respective radial plane, so that the result is a discontinuous contact line or surface between the inner circumference of the suction roll cover (1) and the supporting body (2).
  22. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to one of Claims 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20 or 21, characterized in that a layer of a resilient material, such as in particular a polymer and/or the like, is provided on the outside of the supporting body (2) or on the inside of the suction roll cover (1), in order to damp vibrations and/or to compensate for unevenesses resulting from deposits.
  23. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to one of Claims 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20 or 21, characterized in that the supporting body (2) as a whole consists of a resilient material such as, in particular, rubber, polymer, polymer with reinforcements such as, in particular, a spiral spring or glass or carbon fibres, that is to say CRP/GRP, and/or the like.
  24. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to Claim 1 or 11, characterized in that, with at least one opposing surface, it forms a press nip or wide nip which is extended in the web running direction, and in that the opposing surface is formed by a shoe-press unit, in particular a shoe-press roll (7) comprising a circulating, flexible roll cover, having at least one press shoe preferably having a concave pressing surface.
  25. Suction roll according to one of the preceding claims, in particular according to one of Claims 2 to 6 and 14 to 16, characterized in that suction is applied to the suction roll cover (1) via at least one chamber-like sector inside the suction roll cover (1), and in that to apply suction simultaneously to the suction roll cover (1) over the rest of the circumference of the cover, at least one external suction box is provided, in order to maintain a minimum vacuum in the radial bores in the suction roll cover (1), the external suction box preferably also being provided to collect and pass on spray water.
