Device (1) for sealing a roof-ridge of a building, in the form of a strip which covers the ridge beam (4) and a region of the top row of tiles (6a, 6b) on both sides of the roof, the strip being formed from an air-permeable, non-rotting unwoven material (3) of the kind represented by a felted material of plastics fibres, having additional perforations (8) made in the central region of the unwoven material, the two borders (3a, 3b) at the outer edges of the strip being provided with an adhesive strip (10) having a covering (11) of siliconised paper, characterised in that the perforations are in the form of holes (8) burnt and/or melted into the unwoven material (3) and in that creases (9) are made in the longitudinal direction in the unwoven material (3) to define the edge regions (3a, 3b).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the edge adhesive strips (10) are formed from butyl and are laminated to the edges.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the strips (10) of adhesive penetrate into the unwoven material in areas.
  4. Device according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that a strip introduced into the opposite side of the unwoven material, or a transverse seal, is provided in the region of each adhesive strip (10).
  5. Device according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the edges (9a) of the creases are bonded or sealed.
  6. Device according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the unwoven material (3) is formed from a plastics fabric and in particular from polyacrylic fibres.
  7. Device according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the unwoven material (3) is in roll form.
