Claims (19)

  1. Locking wedge for a motor vehicle door lock or the like,
    having a wedge supporting plate (2) to be attached in a positionally fixed manner on a supporting sheet (1), and
    a wedge element (3) which is mounted on the wedge supporting plate (2) and, in the fitted state, comes into engagement operationally with a lock latch (4) of the motor vehicle door lock or the like, and
    optionally having an elastomer arrangement (5),
    characterized in that when the locking wedge is ready fitted on the supporting sheet (1) the wedge element (3) can be displaced to a determined extent with respect to the wedge supporting plate (2) in the plane of the wedge supporting plate (2), and
    in that the displacement of the wedge element (3) with respect to the wedge supporting plate (2) takes place counter to a frictional force produced by a spring effect and the wedge element (3) remains in the displaced position with respect to the wedge supporting plate (2) without further action of force.
  2. Locking wedge according to Claim 1, characterized in that the spring effect is realized by the elastomer arrangement (5).
  3. Locking wedge according to Claim 1, characterized in that the spring effect is realized by a plastic spring element (15).
  4. Locking wedge according to Claim 1, characterized in that the spring effect is realized by a metal spring element (15).
  5. Locking wedge according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the maximum deflection which can be achieved operationally with respect to the neutral position is approximately +/- 3 to 6 mm, preferably approximately +/- 4.5 mm.
  6. Locking wedge according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the wedge element (3) is attached fixedly on a retaining plate (8), so that there is a fixedly defined distance between the wedge element (3) and the retaining plate (8), in that in the fitted state the supporting sheet (1) lies between the retaining plate (8) and wedge element (3), and in that the retaining plate (8) is mounted on the wedge supporting plate (2) in a manner such that it can move relative to the latter.
  7. Locking wedge according to Claim 6, characterized in that the wedge supporting plate (2) lies between the retaining plate (8) and wedge element (3).
  8. Locking wedge according to Claim 7, characterized in that the wedge supporting plate (2) is of trough-like or cage-like design and the retaining plate (8) is mounted displaceably therein.
  9. Locking wedge according to Claim 8, characterized in that the elastomer arrangement (5) or the spring element is arranged in the receptacle of the wedge supporting plate (2).
  10. Locking wedge according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the wedge element (3) is provided on its side facing the wedge supporting plate (8) with spring lugs (11) on the outer edge.
  11. Locking wedge according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the wedge element (3) is mounted on the wedge supporting plate (2) at two mutually spaced apart bearing points, in that the wedge element (3) can be pivoted at the one bearing point with a following web (12) about an axis perpendicular with respect to the wedge supporting plate (2) and can be shifted at the other bearing point with a preceding web (13) in a corresponding, curved slotted guide (14).
  12. Locking wedge according to Claim 11, characterized in that a spring (15) which constantly restores the preceding web (13) into its neutral position acts on said web.
  13. Locking wedge according to Claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the wedge element (3) is designed as a bracket and, preferably, is provided with a bearing sleeve (16) on the following web (12).
  14. Motor vehicle door lock or the like,
    having a housing (17) with a lock latch (4) which is mounted therein in a manner such that it can pivot about an actually existing or virtual pivot axis and has a receiving mouth (19) for a preceding web (13) of a locking wedge,
    having a blocking pawl (20) which fixes the lock latch (4) in a locking position, and
    having a locking wedge,
    the locking wedge having a wedge supporting plate (2) which is to be attached in the positionally fixed manner on a supporting sheet (1), and a wedge element (3) which is mounted on the wedge supporting plate (2) and comes into engagement operationally with the lock latch (4),
    characterized in that the wedge element (3) is mounted on the wedge supporting plate (2) at two mutually spaced apart bearing points, in that the wedge element (3) can be pivoted at the one bearing point with a following web (12) about an axis perpendicular with respect to the wedge support plate (2) and can be shifted at the other bearing point with a preceding web (13) in a corresponding, curved slotted guide (14), and
    in that when the lock latch (4) is fixed in the locking position the pivot axis (18) of the lock latch (4) lies directly on the connecting line of the two webs (12, 13) of the wedge element (3).
  15. Motor vehicle door lock or the like according to Claim 14, characterized in that the housing (17) has an entry slot (21) for the wedge element (3) of the locking wedge, and the entry slot (21) runs in a curved manner about the pivot axis (18) of the lock latch (4).
  16. Motor vehicle door lock or the like according to Claim 14 or 15, characterized in that a spring (15) which constantly restores the preceding web (13) into its neutral position acts on said web.
  17. Motor vehicle door lock or the like according to one of Claims 14 to 16, characterized in that the wedge (3) is designed as a bracket and, preferably, is provided with a bearing sleeve (16) on the following web (12).
  18. Motor vehicle door lock or the like according to one of Claims 14 to 17, characterized in that the lock latch (4) is of disc-shaped design.
  19. Motor vehicle door lock or the like according to one of Claims 14 to 18, characterized by the features of the characterizing part of one of, or of the characterizing parts of more than one of, Patent Claims 1 to 10.
